001 That letter

Mrs. Weasley, with her children and Lawrence, catch a bus to the vicinity of the Leaky Cauldron, and then they will use the public fire in Diagon Alley to return to the Burrow.

"Bill and Charlie are back." Mrs. Weasley was pleased, and said with some concern, "Sorry to squeeze you."

"It doesn't matter, Mrs. Weasley." Lawrence replied that Bill and Charlie had not been back to England for many years, and that they were too busy with work.

Upon arriving at the Burrow, Percy locked himself in his room, and according to his own description, he spent a week writing a perfect cover letter and waiting for the report card to come in two weeks, with the goal of working at the Ministry of Magic,

"It's not seven days, it's seven years." Bill whispered to them, "When he was in first grade, he asked me how I was going to write a cover letter."

"It's not hard to imagine," George grinned,

"And how did you write it?" Ginny asked curiously,

"I sent my report card," Bill said, "and Gringotts asked me if I would like to go to Egypt to be a spell solver."

"It's that simple?" Ron asked incredulously,

"Of course not, I wrote on the envelope and enclosed a Galleon," Bill replied earnestly, "and then I cast a spell, and the elves couldn't undo it, and they knew there was gold in front of them, but they couldn't get their hands on it, and it made them anxious."

In the laughter of everyone, Charlie also shared his experience,

"I went straight to the Ceratosaurus Sanctuary in Romania," Charlie said, "and it wasn't that hard, they looked at the report card and just tested me if I could ride a broomstick."

"Have you ever thought about what you want to do in the future?" Bill asked,

"Open a prank merchandise store—" the twins said in unison,

"Speaking of which," said Charlie, "Bill and I never thought you could convince Mom."

"Lawrence, what about you, the winner of the International Wizarding Federation's scholarship?" Bill asked, "With this scholarship, you can get almost any kind of job."

"I think Percy envy you," Charlie grinned, looking particularly bright with his sun-tanned skin, "if he had been successful in the first place, he wouldn't have written this cover letter, the Ministry of Magic would have sent you an invitation directly - not just from the UK."

"I haven't thought about it yet," Lawrence replied, "and I'm going to travel for a year after I graduate."

"Then you might consider coming to Egypt," Bill suggested, "and feel the ancient Egyptian magic in the pyramids, some of which we haven't been able to crack yet."

"You must come to the Longhorn Sanctuary in Romania," said Charlie, "this is already the largest dragon sanctuary in the whole of the wizarding world, not only the Longhorn Dragon, but also the latest information on various fire dragons, as well as some special hybrid breeds, which are definitely worth seeing."

"Thanks," Lawrence said, "I'll write to you when the time comes."

A few days later, Hedwig flew to the Burrow with a letter, and a group of them gathered around the table to read it.

"Does dieting make people healthier? How could Muggles have such strange thoughts?" Fred asked,

"Mom always thinks we eat too little." Bill laughed, he and Charlie have always had a plate full of food these days, Mrs. Weasley has been worried about the poor food in Egypt and Romania, she completely ignores Bill's tall and strong figure, Charlie's strong physique and the muscles of his arms,

"Who is Dudley?" George asked curiously,

"Harry's cousin, like?" Ron recalled,

"Was it the short and fat little boy at the train station two years ago during the summer vacation?" Lawrence precisely points out that (Note 1)

"That seems to be the impression?" Fred said,

"Just tell Mom," Charlie suggested, "Mom will send me a bunch of food."

"Are the results coming?" Percy poked his head into the kitchen at this point, and he had been nervous for the past few days, (Note 2)

"Don't be nervous, Percy." Bill said,

"Seems to be coming?" Charlie pointed out the window, Lawrence squinted, and after looking for a long time, he noticed that there were four small black dots that were getting bigger and bigger,

"Your eyesight is just as good—" George exclaimed,

"It's a pity I'm too strong now." Charlie joked, "Otherwise, looking at the results of our England Quidditch team, I'd really like to make a cameo appearance." (Note 3)

After receiving the letter, Percy closed the kitchen door without saying a word, and Lawrence and the twins each opened their letters.

"Your middle name is Dole? You never said—" Fred snatched Lawrence's transcript,

"Actually, I only found out today." Lawrence frowned,

"You've deprived other grades of their chances." Looking at the whole row of 'o's', Fred said,

"It's not like us," George said with a laugh, "and we've made two grades."

"Children," Mrs. Weasley happily pushed the door open, "Percy just told me that he was sending a letter to the Ministry of Magic, thanks to Merlin, he got a great report card."

"We're sorry, Mom." Frey's expression was painful, and he pushed George with his elbow by the way,

"We're just a bunch of useless Flober caterpillars." George said dejectedly,

"Merlin—" Mrs. Weasley's smile receded, and she said kindly, "Don't be discouraged, child, let me see your grades—"

"You swear not to scold us?" Fred said he looked struggling with George.

"And don't confiscate our products?" George said, and then they closed their eyes, resigned to fate, and handed the report card to Mrs. Weasley.

"Oh—you two—" Mrs. Weasley, first surprised, then laughed, and gave Lawrence a big hug, "Thank you so much, Lawrence—I know you must have helped them—"

"Hey, it's us who took the test." Fred protested,

"Of course, the two of us are only equal to Lawrence's one." George deliberately said sourly,

"I'm going to write to Arthur." Mrs. Weasley ruffled the twins' hair, and she quickly turned around and walked out of the kitchen.

"You're going to put a lot of pressure on Ginny and me—" Ron lamented, the twins' report cards were made up of five 'O' and five 'E', and a closer look would show that one was an 'E' and the other must be an 'O'.

"I think it's just you, Ron." Charlie laughed, and Ginny snickered, "As far as I know, Ginny's grades are excellent."

"Oh, well," Ron looked pained, "I have two more years—"

"Are you ready to enter the hell of pain?" Fred asked,

"It's not because of Lawrence's help." Ron complained,

"Didn't Bill take twelve outstanding o.w.L. compared to me?" Lawrence reminded, "Obviously your big brother is so good."

"Hey, Lawrence," Bill said upstairs to Nunu, "you know I don't usually say that, it makes people feel like I'm showing off."

The Burrow had a pleasant holiday, and Percy went to work at the Ministry of Magic, where he took a position in the Department of International Magical Cooperation, much to everyone's annoyance, because Percy would always babble about the state of his work during meals.

"I'm going to find a way to keep Percy out of his room." George complained, "Let him stop working—"

"How's the fresh dragon dung?" Charlie proposed, "Let my colleague who works in Romania send me one."

"It's all right—" Ron said eagerly,

"Children, come and help me," shouted Mrs. Weasley, "Sirius has a message that he wants us to pick up Harry, you know, despite the cancellation of the wanted notice, Muggles may remember his face."

"Let's just have the owl send a letter, shall we?" Bill asked,

"I wanted to send a letter to his relatives in Muggle fashion," said Mrs. Weasley, "and it would be best to get their consent."

"How do Muggles send letters?" Ginny asked,

"They put on something called a postage stamp," said Mrs. Weasley, holding out a small box full of different stamps, and she was a little skeptical, "I hope that's enough?"

"Do you want to stick it on this envelope?" Charlie asked with interest, "How do Muggles do that?"

"I'd like to post some of it," Lawrence replied frowning, "but I haven't actually sent a letter this way, and I don't know."

"Lawrence, come and help me, see if this will work—" Mrs. Weasley instructed, "you have to affix enough stamps, and remember to write the address of Harry's house on the envelope."

"What happens if you don't post enough?" George asked,

"Maybe it won't arrive?" Mrs. Weasley replied uncertainly.

"How about we find a larger envelope?" Bill proposed.

Author's Note: At first, I was wondering what this chapter was going to be called, but then I realized that it was all about letters.

Note 1: Volume II 001 Ollivander.

Note 2: Although in the original book of episode 3, O.W.L and N.E.W.T mentioned at the end that the results were out (Percy got a high score), according to the descriptions of episodes 5 and 6, I still decided to let the results come out at the same time as episode 6, which is the second week of summer vacation.

Note 3: As mentioned in the book, the England team did not have a good result, and this World Cup was played by Ireland against Bulgaria.

Note 4: Referring to the order of the original book, I thought at first that the order of the subjects was in alphabetical order, but after comparing it with English, I found that except for the first three subjects in alphabetical order, everything else was messed up, so I put in the alphabetical order for the subjects that Harry did not take, and the others were in the original order.
