004 An unquiet first day of school
The life of the Leaky Cauldron in August is busy, the closer to the beginning of school, as the most well-known intersection of the Muggle world and the wizarding world in England, the Leaky Cauldron Bar ushered in the busiest season, and the busy work made Lawrence have no extra energy to continue to study the magical map of the living spots, but fortunately at the beginning of August, which was not so busy, he had already borrowed an owl from Tom and sent a letter to Headmaster Dumbledore,
"I'm going back to school tomorrow, Lawrence." Tom took out a money bag and handed it to Lawrence, "This is the salary, this month, hard work for you."
"That seems like too much, Mr. Tom." Lawrence weighed the purse and found that it contained at least three hundred gold Galleons, (Note 1)
"No, no, some students and many young students who didn't do their summer homework will come over to ask questions when they know that you are working here," Tom replied with a smile, "and it can be regarded as a bonus for increasing the business in the store."
"Ugh...... Thank you." Lawrence thanked him embarrassedly, most of the people who didn't write their summer homework were playful Glenn Points, while the other female classmates were like onlookers, always whispering around together,
The next day, Lawrence got up early in the morning, he first leisurely ate breakfast in the Leaky Cauldron Bar, and by the way read the "Daily Prophet", the wizarding world in England has been quiet recently, but Lawrence knows that Voldemort, who has made the wizarding world smell, is still alive, and the shadow of the Gorgeous and Stained Bookstore last month made him a little uneasy, and Dumbledore did not reply to him,
After breakfast, Lawrence first went to Diagon Alley for a stroll, he looked at the babbling owl shop, hesitated for a long time, still did not buy an owl, he returned to the bar, waved goodbye to the owner Tom, he dragged his luggage down the Muggle street, followed the crowd into the subway, used up the last bit of Muggle money on his body for the ticket, he came to King's Cross train station fifteen minutes early,
"It's amazing." Walking into Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, Lawrence whispered in admiration, seeing the familiar Hogwarts Express, he knew that he was going back to another place that seemed like home, he loaded his luggage into an empty car, and then took out the live map, he planned to recreate the conversation that night, to see if there was a chance to ask how the map was made,
Not long after, with a "bang", the twins and Ginny hurriedly opened the car door, and then the Hogwarts Express began to start.
"The entrance to the platform seems to be broken, and Harry and Ron don't seem to be keeping up with the train." Fred said, looking curiously at the dialogue on the map of the living spots,
"It doesn't matter, if you don't catch the train, the school will send someone to pick them up." Lawrence replied, looking at a somewhat melancholy Ginny, and added, "As long as they stay where they are."
"That's fine." George said briskly, looking at the map and asking, "What new discoveries?"
"It's possible that the maker of the map is Harry's father and his friends." Lawrence replied, looking carefully at the four handwritings on the map, "Don't tell Harry yet, I'm afraid I'm mistaken."
"Wow!" The twins were amazed, but they also agreed not to tell Harry just yet, and Ginny was still depressed, the magical map did not attract her attention, and the twins looked at each other,
"A map with access to the school." George sang,
"A map that shows the names of everyone in the school." Fred then sang,
"Noble men, tireless work to help our new generation of troublemakers." The twins sang in unison, and Lawrence looked up at Ginny, and he felt that Ginny was giving him a feeling that was a little incongruous,
"Oh, don't bother." Ginny said irritably, she grabbed her bag and ran out of the carriage, and Lawrence and the twins looked at each other in surprise.
"I thought she would be interested?" Fred asked, "What's going on?"
"Still worried about Harry, aren't you?" Lawrence replied, "Did she and Harry get along well this summer?"
"Probably sucks." George grinned, "It's just that you blush when you speak, and there's always a little bit of a mistake."
Lawrence shrugged his shoulders and continued to study the map in his hand, while the twins took out the cauldron and began to prepare for the research and development of the product.
"Moonface, where are we going tonight when the moon is full?"
"The same screaming house gathering, right?" You say, wouldn't it be fun to attract 'snot?'
"It's not funny, Bigfoot."
"I can hold down the nodules."
"Of course you can, you're always that small."
Lawrence frowned and looked at the four handwritten dialogues, as far as he observed,
Pointed Fork is more of a group leader, and he likes Lily. Evans,
"Big Foot Board" always likes to use "Snot Essence" to tease the "Pointed Fork", and "Pointed Fork" seems to be a little jealous of "Snot Essence", so it is always successfully teased by "Big Foot Board".
The topic of "full moon" is the most common thing they bring up, and at the same time they will be mentioned as "screaming house" and "tree nodules", every time "full moon" is mentioned, "moon face" is always very serious, Lawrence suspects that "moon face" may be a werewolf, he belongs to the more serious of the four,
"Wormtail" rarely expresses opinions, and he always echoes the opinions of the other three.
Lawrence was almost certain that it was Harry's father and his friends who made the map.
"Look for a chance to check out the Screaming House." Lawrence thought to himself, "Maybe there's some clue over there."

They got off the train and rode in a carriage pulled by an invisible creature, Lawrence knew that the magical creature pulling the cart was Thestrals, but unfortunately he had never seen death, and could only faintly see their silhouettes from Thestrals' magical bodies, and when they passed the school gates, Lawrence saw Professor McGonagall, the vice-principal who was waiting for the new students,
"Lawrence, my office, the headmaster is looking for you." Professor McGonagall stopped him, and the twins grimaced at Lawrence before running down the hall,
"Okay." Lawrence then knew that Dumbledore did not reply to the letter, probably hoping to make it clearer in person.
"I hope you'll hurry." Professor McGonagall said solemnly, "Otherwise, we won't be able to make it to the opening party."
Professor McGonagall's office was on the marble staircase in the foyer, next to the hallway, and the door was open, so Lawrence didn't knock on the door, but walked in.
"Good evening," Dumbledore wore a gray cape, looking like he had just returned to school, and waved his wand to close the office door.
"You just came back to school?" Lawrence asked,
"Yes." Dumbledore replied, "After you sent me that letter, I observed Lucius at the Ministry of Magic. Malfoy, and then went on a trip to the Black Forest in Albania."
Lawrence opened his mouth wide, he didn't expect Dumbledore to go directly to the Black Forest,
"I know he's still there, but I can't find it." Dumbledore said a little tiredly,
"Am I wrong about Gorgeous and Stained Bookstore?" Lawrence asked, "I don't seem to be very capable, maybe I'm wrong."
"I don't think so." Dumbledore replied briefly, he looked at Lawrence and said solemnly, "I hope you can tell me anything like this if you find something out of the ordinary."
"Yes, Professor." Lawrence replied, and at that moment, a silver-white cat flew in through the window,
"Harry. Potter and Ron. Weasley drove to the school, and they injured Willow, and we're in Professor Snape's office." Professor McGonagall's voice came out of the cat's mouth, and Lawrence noticed that the cat's eyes were surrounded by a pattern that resembled glasses, and as he spoke, the silver-white cat drifted away in the wind.
"Oh my God." Dumbledore smiled wryly, "How did this happen one after the other?"
"Well, I'm going to the banquet first, Professor." Lawrence waved his hand out of Professor McGonagall's office.
───────
"Wow - so Harry, did they really drive to school?" Fred exclaimed, Lawrence nodded, George whistled on the side, and Lee. Jordan spread the news to the next table, and after a while, the students of the entire cafeteria were whispering about their feat.
"It's not funny at all." Hermione said sternly,
"It's not funny," Percy angrily told the first-year students next to him, "It's definitely against the school rules, and you'll probably be expelled from the school."
But the two of them were quickly overshadowed by the excitement of the discussion, and Lawrence also noticed that Dumbledore and Snape were back in the dining hall together, and not long after, Professor McGonagall also returned, Dumbledore stood up with a smile, and after briefly announcing some basic rules, he called the meeting to an end,
Lawrence knew that he had just returned from the Black Forest in Albania, and was probably so tired that he didn't even let the students sing the school song, which was Dumbledore's favorite thing to do at the end of the orientation party.

Note 1: Employees and interns under the age of 21 in the UK range from £2.65 to £4.98 per hour, £5 has 1 galleon, and the UK backpacker hostel is about £10~25 a night, and the staff accommodation will be a little cheaper, so I think so...... Reasonable, right?
