001 Grimaud Square 12

The last train, after all, still caught up with the slowing down Hogwarts train, followed by Professor McGonagall, under Professor McGonagall's sharp eyes, Fred and George's stupid moves did not work too well,

But this was not Lawrence's concern, the train slowly picked up speed, and then maintained a familiar pace towards London, the warm sunlight slanted through the window, the gently swaying train made a regular rumble, the lavender aroma that lingered on the tip of his nose made him drowsy, the sound of conversation in the box was getting farther and farther away from him, and he fell asleep unconsciously,

Lawrence slept soundly until he was caught by the haunting nightmare, he opened his eyes, the smell of lavender in the box had dissipated, the train had stopped at the platform of nine and quarters, laughter and talking came from the platform outside the window, Lawrence rubbed his forehead,

"Good afternoon, Lawrence." A gentle voice said Lawrence looked at the only man sitting in the carriage, dressed in a shabby robe, with light brown hair mixed with some gray, otherwise he would have looked younger,

"Are you...... Remus. Professor Lupin." Lawrence reminisced for a moment and said,

Lawrence doesn't like this feeling very much, he should remember everything, but except for the memory before entering Hogwarts, which is so vivid, the rest of the memories are like a layer of dust, he has to take the initiative to recall to remember it smoothly, and some memories are that no matter how he recalls, he can't remember anything, according to Dumbledore, it is his happiest and most important memory,

"Your friends were trying to wake you up," Remus said, Lawrence frowned, he wasn't used to the word 'friend', after all, he was a stranger to them now, but he didn't react otherwise, Remus noticed this, smiled and continued, "But I let them go to the platform first, where Molly was waiting for them."

"Molly would love to come, but she's busy taking care of so many children, and Arthur is too busy to find the time to come," Remus explained, "You should remember the Weasleys, right?"

Lawrence nodded cautiously, he remembered that it was his roommates' family, but for some reason, he didn't really want to meet Mrs. Weasley now,

"I hope you don't feel abrupt," Remus said, "where are you going to stay this summer?"

"I think it's the Leaky Cauldron." Lawrence replied that he was trying to remember where he had spent his summer last year, but he couldn't recall that memory, which annoyed him,

"It would have been better for Sirius to come here, but he has other things to attend to now." Remus said, Lawrence raised an eyebrow,

"Sirius's old mansion in London, there are still a lot of empty rooms." Remus continued, "He said you could go over there and borrow a summer vacation if you need it."

Lawrence lowered his head, and just as Remus was about to say something to convince him, Lawrence suddenly asked,

"Is this Dumbledore's instruction?"

"Uh......" Remus obviously didn't anticipate the question, but he quickly replied, "Yes, but even without Dumbledore's instructions, Sirius would have welcomed you to his house."

"It's all right, just asking," said Lawrence, "and where is the old house in London?"

"Is this a promise?" Remus smiled,

"As long as there's a stove that leads to Diagon Alley, I don't mind where I live." Lawrence replied, and then he added, "I'll pay the rent anyway."

"Uh......" Remus was stunned, obviously he hadn't thought about the rent, and he smiled wryly, "This ...... You'd better tell Sirius yourself."

The door to the box was opened, and the conductor knocked on the wooden compartment to signal that it was time for them to get off,

"Looks like it's time for us to go." Remus grabbed Lawrence's luggage, and they left the box,

There weren't many people left on the platform, and the distance between them was a little far, and in the loud whistle, the train slowly began to move, this time without the twins being funny, and each carriage followed the locomotive head safely off the platform,

Lawrence silently followed Remus through the checkpoint where the number of people could be restricted, they left the lively King's Cross train station, walked a few streets, walked for about twenty minutes, the surrounding buildings became older and older, they came to a small square overgrown with weeds, old, poorly maintained buildings, and some doorways were full of garbage,

Remus led the way, and came between the two houses, and Lawrence saw the house number, which was the number of Eleven and Thirteen.

"Here we are," Remus said, fumbling in his pockets and pulling out a parchment note, "jotting it down."

"The headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix can be found at 12 Grimmauld Place, London."

Lawrence recognized Dumbledore's handwriting, and just as he had finished reading the last word of the note, a door suddenly appeared between the houses of Eleven and Thirteen, and then the walls and windows, and a house "grew" out of it.

Remus slipped the note back into his pocket and looked around to make sure no Muggles were peeking at them through the window, he grabbed Lawrence by the shoulders and walked up the stone steps together to a door with only a knocker, which was a silver snake,

Remus stealthily drew his wand and tapped the dilapidated looking gate, and a series of sounds like chains clicked and clicked, a bit like the sound of the castle's drawbridge being lowered, and the door opened with a rattle,

They walked into the old mansion, the long hallway was only an old-fashioned gas lamp emitting a flickering fire, Remus closed the door, the sound from the Muggle world was completely gone, and the whole house was silent as if no one was there,

"Come on, let's walk through here quietly," Remus lowered his voice, "Sirius should be in the kitchen......

Upon entering the kitchen, they saw Sirius, who was wearing a very formal wizard's robe, napping on a chaise longue, and Remus shook him awake,

"Oh." Sirius let out a long yawn, then smiled at Lawrence, "I'm wondering if you'll agree to come here, Lawrence."

"It's pretty much the same everywhere." Lawrence didn't care, "So how much do you have to pay for rent?"

"Rent?" Sirius let out a laugh that sounded like a dog, and he looked at Remus, who nodded with a wry smile,

"Let me say so, Lawrence," Sirius said, smiling a little gloomily, "even though Remus and I have lived here almost all the last year, this house is not very inhabitable."

Lawrence didn't speak, just raised an eyebrow, and Sirius shrugged his shoulders in compromise when he saw this,

"Okay, okay, I'll think about it," Sirius said, putting on a businesslike face and pinching his fingers, "one room in Black's house, three meals a day, and afternoon tea......

"Let me say so." Sirius said solemnly, "What do you think of a day at Nat?"

"Uh......" Lawrence was speechless,

"Well, it's decided, in fact, I wouldn't have returned to this old mansion if I didn't need to," Sirius reverted to his casual attitude, "I said this house wasn't very habitable, and I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't stand it and ran away."

Lawrence was silent, and Sirius got up from his recliner, took out his wand and began to straighten out his somewhat wrinkled robes,

"It's a nuisance," Sirius muttered, "I wish someone could take care of these things for me."

"You should find a hostess," Remus teased, "you used to be at school, and the girls you wanted to date could form several Quidditch teams."

"I wonder who would want to change their last name to Black?" Sirius grimaced disapprovingly, patted his robes and said to Remus, "Leave the job of explaining to you, take Lawrence to his room, I'm going to visit Dedarlow today. Di Ge may return to London very late."

Lawrence and Remus watched Sirius leave the kitchen, and after a sound of soft footsteps and the sound of the door closing, the house fell silent again,

"Sirius is recalling our former members," Remus explained, as he lifted Lawrence's luggage and motioned for Lawrence to follow, and they left the kitchen, using the dim light to walk up the stairs, noting that many of the decorations were in the shape of snakes,

"After Sirius was proven innocent last year, Dumbledore advised Sirius to clarify all the property he had inherited, the former home of the Black family, which is now the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, which Dumbledore founded in the last war to fight Voldemort."

"Fourth floor, we're here," Remus opened a door to a room, and they walked into the pitch-black room, Remus put down his luggage and lit the light with his wand, "It's best to be quiet in the hallway, do you see an umbrella bucket made of the foot of a mountain monster at the door, and a curtain?"

Lawrence nodded,

"Behind that is a portrait of Mother Sirius," Remus shook her head helplessly, "she will curse everything that disturbs her, all non-pure-blooded wizards, and Sirius."

"We've always tried to get her somewhere else," Remus blinked, "Sirius would be happy if you could."

"If she bothers me, I don't mind looking into it." Lawrence responded,

"There's a house-elf Kreacher in this house," Remus said, thinking over the word, "he's old, and he's ...... It's weird."

Lawrence tilted his head, indicating understanding,

"Breakfast is usually made by Kreacher, but Sirius has been out there lately, and we can't command Kreacher without him," Remus continued, "Molly will bring the kids over in a few days, and in two days we'll have something more decent to eat."

Remus left the room and closed the door, Lawrence looked around the room and decided to pick up his wand and tidy it up.
