Chapter 199: Filial Piety

"My dad said that if you want to find a beautiful foreign wife with blonde hair and blue eyes in the future, you have to learn a foreign language well!"

Yang Fan's words made everyone, including the children around him, laugh, but this tiger-headed little guy didn't look embarrassed at all, he held his head high, looked up at the little head and looked very proud, and Zhang Yidan really loved it from the bottom of his heart.

As soon as her heart moved, she held back a smile, touched the little guy's head and asked, "Oh, then why are you marrying a daughter-in-law?" ”

"Marry a daughter-in-law to help my mom cook, help my dad work, and help me wash clothes!"

The little guy had a look of contempt that you didn't even know about, and directly defeated Zhang Yidan. What kind of divine logic is this? Marrying a daughter-in-law is for ......

Suddenly, a light flashed in her heart, as if she understood something, and when she looked at Xiao Yang Fan again, there was no longer the same kind of joke and teasing in her eyes.

Helping my mother cook and help my father work, although the words are very naΓ―ve, but they contain a simple concept that has been inherited from China for 5,000 years - filial piety.

Filial piety is a behavior advocated by Chinese cultural traditions, which means that children's behavior should not go against the conscience and wishes of their parents, elders in the family and ancestors, so that they will not make mistakes, which is a manifestation of a stable and ethical relationship, so it is often associated with Shun and is called filial piety.

The so-called "100 virtues and filial piety first" reflects the concept and tradition of filial piety that the Chinese nation has attached great importance to since ancient times.

Filial piety is generally manifested as filial piety, filial piety, etc. Filial piety refers to the affirmation of parents in order to repay their parents' upbringing, so as to obey their parents' guidance and orders, and act according to their parents' wishes.

"Filial piety" as an ethical concept was officially put forward in the Western Zhou Dynasty.

According to ancient records, in the Western Zhou Dynasty, the meaning of filial piety was twofold:

1. Respect for ancestors. The method of filial piety is mainly sacrifice, which is sacrificed to ancestors through offerings at the Jongmyo Temple, and the object of filial piety is the deceased. This carries a certain religious form.

2. Succession. In the eyes of the Western Zhou people, ancestors are born of the lives of our generation, so worshipping ancestors is to continue the lives of ancestors.

There is such a sentence in the Book of Changes: "The ancestors are the origin of the kind, and there are no ancestors, and the evil is out?" ”

Filial piety is deeply rooted in the minds of the ancients, from the emperor to the poor people. All of them are taken as guidelines. Once there is an unfilial person, it will be spurned by everyone and will be stinking for 10,000 years.

Regarding filial piety, in ancient times, there were many literati and ink writers who splashed ink for it, and there were also many folk tales that were widely circulated, the most famous of which is the story of the twenty-four filial pieties.

1. Yu Shunxiao moved the sky

Twenty-four, the court is strong and cleansed. (No one would say I make up the word count, right?) Does anyone know the story of these 24 filial pieties? οΌ‰

The treatise on filial piety, the psalms, from ancient times to the present, have long been innumerable. However, because the people of later generations are in a certain purpose and various misunderstandings, in the later generations, it is inevitable that there will be places where the original intentions of the sages do not match.

For example, there is a sentence that everyone often hangs on everyone's lips now: "There are three unfilial pieties." No queen is greater". The actual meaning of this statement is not at all the same as what most people understand today, and it is completely because later generations misunderstood it and spread to form the current meaning.

This sentence was said by Mencius when he commented on Shun's marriage, and the complete original sentence is: "There are three unfilial pieties." No queen is great, Shun marries without telling, and because there is no queen, the gentleman thinks it is still suing."

It can be seen from the analysis of the original text. The "no descendants" here does not mean that there are no descendants as understood by modern people, but that they have not fulfilled the responsibilities of their descendants.

Translated into modern words. It means that there are three kinds of unfilial piety, and the greatest is the responsibility and obligation of non-compliance. Shun got married without telling his parents, and this is no queen. But the gentleman thought that it was almost the same as being told (because Shun was a monk, and it was Yao who wanted to marry his daughter to him).

In other words, Mencius's original words did not contain the meaning that not having children is unfilial piety.

Later, when he came to the Han Dynasty, Zhao Qi wrote a book of "Commentary on the Thirteen Classics". He expounded his personal understanding of Mencius's words:

There are three things about unfilial piety in Yuli, which is said to be obedient, unrighteous and unrighteous, and unfilial; The family is poor and old, not for Lu Shi, and the second is not filial; Don't marry and have no children, never worship ancestors, and don't be filial. Among the three, no one is the greatest.

Translated into modern Chinese, it is: blindly obedient, seeing that parents are at fault and not persuading, causing them to fall into injustice, this is the first type of unfilial piety.

The family is poor, and the parents are old, but they do not go to the official to eat money to support their parents, which is the second kind of unfilial piety.

Not marrying a wife and having children, cutting off offspring, this is the third type of unfilial piety.

Later, after people who did not know the truth, it became what it is today, and it has the meaning of being able to read and read half of it, which is completely a distortion of the words of the ancient sages.

Filial piety, which has been inherited for thousands of years, has suffered unimaginable challenges in today's materialistic and materialistic era. Some people even took up legal weapons with confidence!

"Everyone is equal before the law, why should I listen to you? Why should I raise you? ”

As a veteran reporter, Zhang Yidan has seen and heard too many things about children who are unwilling to support the elderly. Although the reasons are different, it is the parents after all!

Of course, she is not a defender, and for those who have not fulfilled their parental responsibilities at all, in her opinion, it is completely self-inflicted and deserves this punishment.

What really shocked her was that a child at such a young age as Yang Fan would have such thoughts.

As the old saying goes, when she looks old at the age of three, she believes that even if he grows up, after countless twists and turns, and tribulations, the concept of filial piety will still be deeply rooted in her heart.

"Inheriting filial piety is one of the tenets of our kindergarten, which is the first criterion set by the old secretary and Wang Yong before the kindergarten was built."

Behind Zhang Yidan, a man in his forties and fifties, there was already a trace of wrinkles on his face, but it could be seen that he was definitely not from the village, and his temperament was very different from everyone present.

Zhang Yidan turned around and took a look, and knew that this person was definitely not from Wangjiazhuang. Wangjiazhuang, which has just become wealthy, can't raise such a poetic and scholarly person.

"This is Director Liu, Wang Haiye and I have been invited back from the capital after three visits to the thatched house, and I have worked in other kindergartens for half my life!" The old secretary explained next to him, but it made Zhang Yidan even more puzzled.

Looking at the calm face in front of her, the wise eyes that seemed to have seen through everything in the world had already been seen through by her, and the strong admiration, trust, and admiring eyes of the group of children snuggled up to her when they looked at her, Zhang Yidan knew that this eldest sister who seemed to have no temperament was not as simple as it seemed.

The scene suddenly fell silent, and Zhang Yidan was still thinking about the possible identity of the middle-aged woman in front of him. But before she could think about it, she heard a child suddenly scream.

"Oh, teacher, teacher, we're going to grandma!"

Zhang Yidan, who was awakened, followed the voice and looked over, a little girl wearing a pink coat, black pants, a soft black ponytail, a fair face, and a pair of big eyes as clear as water tugged the hand of a female teacher next to her, waiting for the teacher's reply.

"Well, well, you can take your group over. Be careful on the road, obey the traffic rules, and take care of other children. ”

"Hmmm! Teacher, don't worry, Kiki knows! ”

"Xiao Gang, Jun Tou, Erhu, Jingjing, Menghan, and Lili, let's go!"

With the roll call of the little girl Kiki, several children walked out of the crowd, and under the command of the little girl, they lined up, held their heads high, shook their little arms, and walked out of the gate of the kindergarten.

"What is this?"

Zhang Yidan pointed to a few children who were gradually moving away, and looked at Director Liu in puzzlement.

"It's the kids going to help their grandmother with the housework!" Director Liu looked at the children in the distance with a smile on his face, said a word without replying, and then waved his hand and took the other children to play games.

Seeing the happy look of the children surrounding her, Zhang Yidan can imagine her status in the hearts of the children. To have such a principal who makes the children like, respect and like from the bottom of their hearts, the status of Wangjiazhuang kindergarten in her mind was immediately upgraded by three levels.

"The children are helping with the housework of the oldest person I saw today at the University for the Elderly. Although the old lady was old, her temperament was extremely stubborn, and she didn't even allow the villagers to help even her children and grandchildren when she planted vegetables in the yard. ”

Later, Wang Yong thought of a trick, and when he was free, he took the children in the village over to talk to her, chat, and by the way, he also helped with the work.

After listening to Secretary Zhao's words, Zhang Yidan didn't say anything, but just looked up inadvertently at the wall facing him. It was covered with vivid and vivid pictures, and after a little look, she seemed to have a very familiar feeling for some individual pictures.

After looking at it for a while, she finally saw what was painted on the wall.

That's the story of the twenty-four filial pieties! (To be continued.) )
