On that very day, the joint anti-landing exercise of the three Somali armed forces was held on a coast 30 kilometers east of the city of Marka in Lower Shabelle Oblast, where the terrain was extremely suitable for landing operations.

The joint anti-landing exercise of the three armed services was jointly organized by the Somali General Staff, the Air Force Command, the Navy Command, and some units of the Capital Military Region, and it took more than three months from planning to implementation, and the scale of the exercise was about 4,000 troops, and the commander-in-chief of the exercise was Brigadier General Gedi, commander of the Navy.

It can be said that at the beginning of this exercise, the enemy was considered to be extremely strong, with the air force having the upper hand and the support of the navy, while the defensive troops, although the fighting spirit of the soldiers was very strong, but in the face of modern steel explosives, the spirit only delayed for a while longer, and finally failed.

In this exercise, the decisive power lies with the Air Force.
