Chapter Forty-Three: The Frost Ancient Giant

When the giants had finished their supper, the sky had darkened, the game had been half eaten, and there was a great pile of bones, and several giants got up and threw them up the hill of bones.

Although I already understand the origin of the mountain of bones, I don't know why the giants piled up the bones into a mountain.

From the bone meal at the foot of the White Bone Mountain, it can be inferred that the earliest white bones were accumulated thousands of years ago, which means that the giants have lived here for generations and have never migrated, which caused the white bones to pile up into a mountain.

Just now, all the giants kowtowed to the totems around the White Bone Mountain, and it can be guessed that they have never migrated. Suffice it to say, they are very different from the ancient giants I met before. I had never seen an ancient female giant before, and I saw it with my own eyes until today.

Interestingly, Ancient Giants do have a male and female nature, but female Ancient Giants are so rare that they often make people wonder if Ancient Giants have females and how they reproduce. More interestingly, female Elder Giants appear to be stronger and more ferocious than skinny male Giants, and tend to be the leaders of groups of Elder Giants, raising the question of whether Elder Giants are matriarchal creatures (although there is currently no evidence of the social structure of Elder Giants).

The origin of the Ancient Giants is still a mystery, and like other humanoid races, the Ancient Giants also possessed a certain intelligence and civilization. They would sew simple clothing from hides and decorate them with bones, and build huge bonfires to keep warm and mark their territory. Despite their strength, ancient giants rarely used their bare hands, and often used bone, stone, and wood to craft improvised sticks or stone axes as weapons. Ancient giants also hunted occasionally, but their main source of food came from their unique domestic animals, the mammoths. Mammoths provided fur, meat, milk, ivory, and bones for the Ancient Giants, and as such, the Ancient Giants took their mammoths very seriously and considered them their property, and harming a mammoth with an owner was almost as damaging its owner as it was hurting its owner. According to some observations, the ancient giants did have an extremely special affinity and affection for the mammoth.

Ancient giants can also speak, but it sounds like some muffled, low, snoring sounds, and only ancient giants can understand the meaning of this language, which is the ancient giant language, and some people have learned some of this language in a special way and found it helpful to dispel the hostility of the ancient giants. After training, the Ancient Giants were also able to speak a few simple dwarven and delmanic languages. Ancient giants had no writing, but seemed to be particularly fond of using spiral-like patterns to mark them on the stones around their territory or on the tusks of their domesticated mammoths, which were thought to have the simple effect of attracting mates or marking their territory.

Ancient giants usually lived in small groups of several ancient giants, and it is said that in ancient times there were large tribes of dozens or even hundreds of ancient giants together, led by one of the most powerful ancient giant kings with absolute authority, but most of these tribes may have been exhausted in the battle between the ancient giants and the Delman Empire, and are almost impossible to see today. In some cases, the Ancient Giants of an area will also gather in a specific place to communicate, exchange items, or mate, which appears to have some kind of religious nature (although no religion has been found for the Ancient Giants to exist).

It is worth mentioning that the ancient giants are also one of the few creatures with special feelings for death other than the intelligent race. According to some observations, an ancient giant in a region was always willing to end his life in a specific place, and if he died by accident, his companions would try to take the body there for burial, and the reason for the formation of this "mound of ancient giants" is still unknown.

For the vast majority of the time, the Ancient Giants remained relatively peaceful with other sapient races. The only large-scale conflict occurred when breaking with the dwarves, and there were often wars with the ancient giant tribes at that time, although their destructive power was huge, but the ancient giants were not aggressive by nature, as long as their territory and the mammoths they raised were not threatened, they were relatively peaceful--- of course, in the dwarf kingdom, there would still be ancient giants breaking into farmland or attacking caravans from time to time, so the dwarves also retaliated against the ancient giants, often beating up the lone ancient giants.

But on top of this Alterian ice peak, it is very different from ordinary ancient giants, in fact, it is a kind of "frost ancient giant", this kind of ancient giant is extremely rare, and compared to ordinary ancient giants, they have a more peculiar appearance--- with horns, four eyes, three fingers, and long hair that is much thicker than that of ancient giants. And, their strength seems to be much stronger than the average ancient giant, and they will also use frost power, but we basically don't know anything about their origins, they have an inexplicable totem worship, and they seem to like killing, very ferocious, intelligence doesn't seem to be high, and the key is that it still stinks.

When it comes to ancient giants, we have to talk about mammoth beasts that are closely related to ancient giants, these giant beasts that inhabit the dwarf kingdom have two pairs of tusks. These mammoths living in the dwarven kingdom are large and have brown hair.

As long as it is not provoked, the mammoth is a fairly docile creature, and although it appears to be ferocious, it does not actively attack other creatures. Only the tall ancient giants managed to tame them. The mammoth was the most important livestock of the ancient giants, providing them with meat, milk, skin and teeth, and bones as ornaments. Similarly, mammoths were an important possession of ancient giants, and attacking a mammoth raised by a giant without permission would anger its owner.

Despite the fact that mammoths have great war potential, there are not many records of their use in warfare. The only recorded thing is that when the Dwarven Kingdom rebelled against the invasion of the Holy Emperor Barossa, there were records of ancient giants and mammoths joining the war.

Our group was fairly well hidden, and Uther and I used domain-level power to hide our aura, and these stupid frost ancient giants hadn't discovered us yet.

They were kneeling down to the terrifying skeletal totem, and their movements were so big that we were even a little nervous, because after all, they were eleven frost ancient giants.

At this moment, Uther and I discovered almost at the same time, we found that in the place where those ancient giants came, there seemed to be a huge sinkhole, but it was far away and could not be seen with the naked eye, and we sensed it through domain-level power.

What the hell is the place there!
