Chapter 300: Conditions for the Formation of Emeralds
Tang Feng knew very well how difficult it would be to find a location that could bring all these three conditions together, and if these three conditions were taken out separately, they would be nothing.
This is the Hengduan Mountains, the most important thing is the river, and they are all rivers with a great drop, otherwise this large Hengduan Mountains will not become the most abundant area of water resources in the world, to find a river with a large drop from here, it is no different from looking for lice from the bald head.
Similarly, jadeite primary ore should also exist in this area.
Although no gem-quality jadeite primary ore has been found in China at present, this does not mean that there is no jadeite primary ore in the Hengduan Mountains. After all, whether it is the Myitkyina region in northern Myanmar or this area in China, geologically speaking, it belongs to the geological fold area formed when the Indian plate collides with the Asian plate.
From the most fundamental geological point of view, the Dahengduan Mountains in China also have the conditions for producing jadeite primary ore. However, due to the harsh natural conditions in the Dahengduan Mountains, it is difficult to carry out even simple surveys, so this has led to the fact that no primary jadeite ore has been found in China for so many years.
How is jadeite formed? Modern geologists have given a very clear answer. The formation of jadeite does not require high temperature and high pressure like diamond, but can only be formed under high pressure and low temperature geological conditions. Specifically, it can only be formed at 10,000 atmospheres and a relative temperature of 200-300 °C.
Everyone knows that geologically speaking, the higher the temperature, the higher the pressure, and similarly, the higher the pressure. The temperature will also be higher, and this kind of high pressure and low temperature is actually relatively rare. In fact, according to the inference of geologists, when the Indian plate and the huge Asian plate met, the collision of the two plates caused huge pressure on the earth's crust, but at the same time. Because the earth's crust on the edge of the impact is immersed in seawater, the seawater cools this part of the area, so by chance, this unique geological condition of high pressure and low temperature is formed.
This is the case in both the northern part of Myanmar and the Hengduan Mountains in China. That is to say, in the most basic geological theory, the western part of the Hengduan Mountains in China should also have the conditions for the formation of jadeite rough ore mines.
Similarly, to form a premium jadeite jadeite, three other conditions must be met. The first condition is that the jadeite surrounding rock must be high magnesium, high calcium and low iron rock. Only in this environment will the jadeite produced be purer.
Because only a little iron will make the bottom of the jadeite not gray.
However, despite the low iron environment, there is still the presence of iron, and for the jadeite to be very pure and free of impurities, it must also be generated under strong reduction conditions, that is, in a reduction environment. Because in the anoxic environment, the Fe contained in the jadeite rough will form magnetite and precipitate. Without entering the jadeite lattice, the jadeite green can be corrected.
The second condition is that there is geological action and multiple strong hydrothermal activities after the formation of jadeite. Transform the jadeite into a green, good, pure bottom of the special jadeite. Because the jadeite color process is accompanied by hydrothermal activities, it is a multi-stage color process with different intensities. Moreover, the chromogenic elements that are slowly decomposed into chromium ions must be kept at 150-300 °C for a long time, and the optimal temperature is about 212 °C, so that chromium ions can enter the crystal lattice evenly and uninterruptedly, and the emerald green produced under this condition is very uniform.
The third condition is after the Premium Emerald is fully generated. There must not be a large geological tectonic movement, otherwise cracks of different sizes and directions will be generated and the quality will be affected. It is difficult to have all of the above conditions at the same time, which is why premium jadeite is scarce.
However, even with these three extremely harsh conditions, there are still many places in the Greater Hengduan Mountains that have such conditions, after all, the mountainous areas of northern Myanmar and the western part of the Greater Hengduan Mountains were formed at the same time and under the same conditions.
Another key factor in the formation of jadeite is in the process of jadeite formation. There must be volcanic intrusions containing albite, because according to the judgment of modern geology, the formation process of jadeite is actually formed by the sililicating of albite in a high and low temperature environment.
To use the geological professional explanation, it is that the primary jadeite deposits of jadeite are produced in strong serpentinized peridotite rock bodies, and the rock masses are in contact with amphibole schist. The contact zone is a tectonic fracture zone, which is interspersed with jadeite and peridotite tectonic breccia and later chromite veins.
This kind of peridotite rock mass can often be seen in the western part of the Great Hengduan Mountains. In other words, as long as you spend a lot of effort to explore, even in the western part of the Great Hengduan Mountains, there is a great possibility that you will find gem-quality jadeite primary deposits! In fact, in the mountainous areas of Tengchong and Yingjiang, there are still jadeite primary mines, but those jadeite primary mines have not reached the gem level.
When he was in college, Tang Feng clearly remembered the helplessness and emotion of the professor at that time when he talked about the jadeite of Huaxia jadeite. At present, the country with the largest consumption of jadeite in the world is in China, but China does not have its own gem-quality jadeite origin, so that a small Myanmar is forced to hold the neck.
Is there really no primary deposit of gem-quality jadeite in China? Even distant Russia has it, why doesn't China have it? This is obviously a very unreasonable thing to do. So the only explanation is that with the current survey technology, Huaxia has not yet the ability to survey the primary ore of gem-quality jadeite in the Dahengduan Mountains.
However, Huaxia's current technology can't reach it, it doesn't mean that the owner of the star core doesn't have this ability!
In the current tertiary state of the star core, there is nothing in the earth's crust ten kilometers below the surface that can stop the survey and scanning of the star core!
However, the Star Core also has a drawback, that is, at the current level, the scanning range is too small. Although the star core can be deformed scanned, once the deformation scan is performed, it can only be scanned in a fixed direction, and if you move the scanning angle, it is all distressing energy!
The length of 1,000 kilometers may seem like a lot, but the width is limited, and in the vast Hengduan Mountains, this scanning area is nothing at all. Therefore, the kind of all-round scanning of a blind cat and a mouse really does not apply to the current situation. It is important to find the eligible areas before scanning them to minimize consumption.
So well, first of all, it is necessary to choose the area where peridotite rock mass exists, this should be easier to find, and the relevant geological survey data should be relatively complete in Chuncheng, even in the relevant departments of Tengchong, these materials should also be available.
Then all that's left is to find the right river! (To be continued......)
