Chapter Seventy-One: Breaking the Barrier

Harry was very happy about Alan's arrival, he was well aware of Alan's strength. When he saw the ajar door, he thought it might not be too late for Alan to come. As a result, Alan has been waiting here for a long time!

Harry looked at each other and pushed the door open.

With the creak of the door opening, a low bark immediately rang in their ears. The big dog couldn't see them, but all three of its noses twitched and sniffed frantically toward them.

"What's that at its feet?" Hermione asked quietly.

"It looks like a harp," Ron said, "and it must have been left behind by Snape." β€œ

"Not Professor Snape. Alan said in his heart, but if he said what he saw at this time, it was conceivable that they would definitely shout and get to the bottom of it, which would be too much delay. Anyway, it didn't take long for them to find out the truth.

Eren stretched out his wand and continued the music on the harp at the feet of the three-headed dog Luwe. Alan was the first to walk towards the trapdoor. As he approached the three huge heads, he could feel the hot, smelly smell of the big dog.

Alan pulled open the trapdoor and looked inside, it was pitch black. The three Harry tiptoed over to Alan.

"There's no ladder here, how do you go down?" Ron looked at the unfathomable hole, a little timid.

"Looks like we're going to have to jump!" Harry muttered.

"Who wants to be the first to go down? Do you really want to jump?" Ron said, "I don't know how deep this hole is. ”

While they were still discussing, Alan lifted his robe, pressed the edge of the hole with one hand, and jumped down resolutely.

Cold, damp air whirled in Alan's ears. He fell down, fell, fell, and then - plopped. With a strange and dull thud, Eren landed on top of something soft. He sat up and groped around. His eyes weren't used to the dim light, but he knew he was sitting on the devil's web.

"Soft landing, you can jump!" Alan shouted at the hole, which now looked like a speck of light the size of a postage stamp.

Harry was the first to jump, and Ron was close behind, on all fours.

"What kind of thing is this?" Ron asked as soon as he spoke.

"I don't know, it seems to be a plant. Probably laid here to mitigate collisions in the event of a fall. Come on, Hermione!" Harry yelled at the hole.

"Don't move, it's the devil's web. Alan had quietly moved away from the pile of devil nets and stood on the ground, warning Harry and Ron at the same time.

Harry and Ron had wanted to learn from Alan to stand up, but before they knew it, they had been wrapped around their legs by long vines. Hearing Allen's warning, the two remained motionless.

"Hermione, it's the devil's net, be careful when jumping down. Hermione had just landed, and she jumped to her feet and struggled to move towards a damp wall. Although she was already very agile, as soon as she fell, the devil's net stretched out snake-like tendrils and wrapped around her ankles. Thankfully, Hermione managed to break free before the vines could hold her firmly.

Harry and Ron stared at Allen, and Hermione stood to the side in horror, desperately trying to figure out the habits of the devil's web. "Devil's Web, what did Professor Sprout say? Say it likes dark and damp ......"

Before Hermione could fully figure out what to do, Alan had already drawn his wand, waved it, and with words in his mouth, a blue bellflower-like flame shot out of his wand head. In a matter of seconds, Harry and Ron felt the vines flinch away from the light and warmth, loosening their grip on them. The plants twisted, twitched, and automatically loosened the tendrils that were wrapped around them, and they finally broke free.

"Good to have you, Alan!" Harry looked at Alan gratefully.

Hermione thought about it, too. Ron added.

"But I panicked and couldn't think of a solution. Hermione was ashamed. Usually she works so hard, but at the critical moment, she can't think of any way at all, far less than Allen, who is also a good student. "It was Alan who recognized the Devil's Web, and it was he who solved them. No wonder so many professors admire Allen. Alan, you're really good. Hermione looked at Alan with admiration.

"It's nothing, as long as you listen carefully to the herbal class, you will find out in time. Of course, Hermione was great, she guessed it was the devil's web. Allen spread his hands, and the mistake of being a good teacher has been committed again, and he always likes to persuade students at the right time.

Harry and Ron looked at each other, deeply feeling that they didn't know Alan well enough, from a gentle and amiable classmate, to a persuasive teacher in an instant, what a strange style of painting!

"Ahem, go this way. Alan sensed his gaffe and pointed to a stone hallway. This is the only way to go.

They heard, in addition to their own footsteps, the sound of droplets of water dripping slowly down the walls. In such a quiet passage, it looks particularly terrifying.

"Can you hear anything?" Ron asked in a whisper.

Everyone listened closely. There seemed to be a soft rustle and clanging sound ahead.

"Could it be a ghost?"

"I don't know if it's the sound of wings flapping. ”

"There's a light aheadβ€”I see something moving. ”

They came to the end of the hallway, and in front of them was a brightly lit room with a high vaulted ceiling. Countless small birds that were as brilliant as jewels flapped their wings and flew around the room. There is a heavy wooden door opposite the room.

"It's the key. Alan whispered to Ron's question and walked through the door first.

"Keys?" Ron stared inexplicably at the keys flying in the air.

"Key with wings, that means ......" Harry was interrupted by an excited voice before he could finish speaking. It's Hermione, "Look at Alan!"

Alan had walked to a corner of the room safe and sound, picked up a broomstick, and rolled over and rode on.

"I understood that if you want to get through this door, you have to find the key to this door. Harry suddenly realized.

"But there are hundreds of keys on there, and it's so hard to find the right portkey among so many keys!" Hermione, who had no talent for flying, looked at the winged keys flying in the sky, a little worried.

Ron, on the other hand, scrutinized the door's wedge. "We're looking for a big, antique key – probably silver, shaped like a doorknob. ”

Immediately after, each of them grabbed a broom, kicked their feet, rose into the air, and rushed into the dense group of key arrays. They tried to catch and fish, but the enchanted keys dodged too quickly to be caught.
