Chapter 34: Astronomy Lesson with Friends
After a somewhat boring Defence Against the Dark Arts class, the night had already fallen.
The little lions finished their meal as fast as they could, and rushed to the tower with the Hufflepuff badgers.
On Wednesday night, under the guidance of Professor Sinista, they will use a telescope to observe the starry sky and observe and record the trajectory of the planets.
Professor Sinista is a dark-skinned, dark-haired witch who is tall and likes to wear a topped wizard's hat.
She also has a beautiful name that is very apt for astronomy - Aurora.
It is the Latin word for "dawn".
"Astrology is perhaps a discipline that is not taken seriously by many wizards. But trust me, understanding them means a lot to you. From these stars, perhaps we will one day find the answer. β
She said to everyone when she first started class.
This was a novel experience for Gawain.
Through the wizard's astronomical mirror, he could clearly observe the halo of Venus, and also distinguish a large number of constellations.
But he was equally curious about what the professor called the "answer."
The "answer" needed questions, but when he asked Professor Sinista, she just smiled and shook her head, saying that he would have a chance to know when he was in seventh grade.
The experience of these days is indeed very novel, and it has not made Gawain regret his decision.
He also discovered that the so-called "purebloods" were not much better than the wizards of "Muggle" origin.
You know, the two strongest scorers in the current first year, Hermione, and himself, are both pure Muggle backgrounds.
"I don't know where they got their arrogant qualifications. β
Gawain felt indescribable when he thought of the Slytherin guys, especially the one who was pale as paper but always swaggered around with two henchmen, like "Malfoy".
In the Great Hall, he could often see the obnoxious boy saying things like "My Daddy...", like he wished he had grown to Hagrid's height and could see everyone with his chin.
You must know that in the world of ordinary people, the nobles who dare to be so scared have long been like Cromwell, even the grass is three feet tall.
However, it wasn't until Friday that Gryffindor would take Potions class with Slytherin, and Gawain never had a chance to deal with him.
Except when he met him in the Great Hall, he would always put on a stupid and arrogant appearance towards Gawain.
It was fast forward to Friday.
After breakfast, Gawain declined Harry's invitation to go to Hagrid's for tea in the afternoon, and arrived alone in the Potions classroom.
The classroom was located in a dungeon, and the walls were filled with various glass jars soaked in taxidermy, many of which he had only seen in textbooks but had never seen with his own eyes. There are many pot racks in the huge classroom, and there are no windows, which makes it look a little dull.
Surprisingly, though, the classrooms weren't empty.
Seven or eight Slytherin students had already arrived, and they were in small groups, talking and laughing.
"Look! It's Mr. White from Gryffindor, and what about Miss Know-It-All, who is inseparable from you?"
Seeing Gawain walk into the classroom, a "chic" blonde girl pointed at him, causing the boys standing next to her to gasp and laugh.
She has fluffy blonde hair and resembles a poodle.
"Pansy, don't do that. Maybe someone finally realizes the stupidity of the mud monkeys and wants to find a worthy ally?"
A tall, somewhat skinny dark-skinned boy said. He leaned back against the table, looking lazy, not standing with others.
Gawain ignored it and found his seat.
He put down his backpack first, then took out his textbook, and spread it out on the table along with his notebook.
Coming to the classroom early, Gawain wanted to ask Professor Snape what he needed to prepare for the evening, but if he couldn't, he didn't want to be angry with the idiots.
But before that, he needed to find a name.
It's like the Yankees' "defend where you are" principle.
Of course, in "civilized" Britain, people call it "gentlemanly demeanor", and in "romantic" France, it is also called "chivalry".
"Muggle seed! My friends are talking to you! Didn't your Muggle parents teach you manners?"
The boy named Malfoy had a little red on his face, walked over to Gawain, pointed his finger at his back, and said in embarrassment.
"Mudblood. β
Although Gawain is not very clear about the meaning of this word, it is not difficult to guess that the other party is not only insulting himself, but also Colin and Elsa.
Gawain retracted the idea of only scaring the idiots.
But he didn't answer Malfoy right away.
In other words, it is a different form of answer.
βKhronosγ β
Gao Wen whispered in a voice that only he could hear, speeding up his time by thirty percent, the blood surging rapidly in his body, and his heart pounding hard.
- Feeling the rush of force, he jerked backwards and stomped his left foot the ground. But in a second or two, before Malfoy could react, Gawain was already close enough to be within half a pace.
A sweep of the right leg.
Gawain kicked Malfoy's cartilage in the socket of his leg, causing him to let out a cry of "ah!" and he was about to fall to the ground.
But Gawain naturally won't miss the opportunity.
He reached out and took Malfoy's arm.
Pump hard.
Under the influence of the pull, Malfoy involuntarily leaned towards Gawain. Easily carried over his back, Gawain's right hand clamped his waist!
"My parents taught me that politeness is about people. But I suppose your wizarding parents must have never taught you to respect the strong, did they?"
Gawain said with a modest smile on his face.
"Ahh
The girl who looked like a poodle screamed.
It was only then that the Slytherins in the classroom realized what was going on, and they all took out their wands and pointed them at Gawain. But Gawain didn't panic at all, just pressed Malfura's closer to himself.
The young wizards of the first year, even if they had learned it in advance at home, had a hard time mastering any offensive spells, and he still had a very good shield in his hand.
But this group fight can't be fought.
"Why are you so nervous, we're just making friends, aren't we? Mr. Draco?"
Gawain said in a tone as if he was chatting with a friend, but the five fingers of his right hand were even harder, almost sinking into the flesh.
Malfoy's forehead wrinkled in pain, and he didn't dare to struggle, so he could only shake his head desperately and ask his companion not to move.
"Do you know what you're doing?
Malfoy's face turned pale and he lowered his voice.
"Of course, your dad is a big man in the wizarding world. But we're just chatting, chatting between friends. You see, this is the first time, and it may be the last. But if I hear that someone is secretly writing a letter, maybe there will be a second or third such exchange, right?
I don't think a pure-blood nobleman like you would be huddled in the common room all the time? Yes, like Muggles. β
Gawain whispered in Malfoy's ear in what only the two of them could hear, and took off the wand from Malfoy's hand and played with it with his left hand.
"Don't you dare to do it! This is Hogwarts! Yes, Hogwarts! Dumbledore won't let you go!"
Malfoy shook his head desperately, trying to stay away from Gawain, but Gawain's hand grabbed him like a steel tong.
"But I'm defending myself, you see, my dear Draco baby, you're several, and you're all 'noble' pure-blood wizards, and I'm a poor, helpless, well-behaved Muggle-born student.
Whose statement would the professor believe, you say, more?
Maybe next time I'll break your fingers and arms, or even fill you with a medal or two. β
Gawain's eyes roamed over Malfoy, and with every word, he felt Malfoy's struggle soften.
"Whatever you want!
Malfoy's voice was already a little crying, but he was still stubbornly not shedding tears.
"How about starting with the fools who take care of you, I won't provoke you, and you can continue to brag about the glory of purebloods, but don't trouble me and my friends. β
Gawain smiled with satisfaction, bringing Malfora's closer to himself, shoulder to shoulder, their faces almost together.
"If you think about it, smile it. You see, nothing happens between us, doesn't it? We hug and shake hands, and no one loses face.
But if you have any extra moves, it's hard for me to guarantee that you won't do more. And as you know, I've always had a good memory. β
PS: Malfoy's character, at least in the first year, belonged to the typical son-in-law, and was spoiled. When you see that only the protagonist is coming to the classroom alone, it's hard not to come forward and provoke. But he's also a straw bale, and when he actually kicks the iron plate, he panics and doesn't know what to do (such as running away in the Forbidden Forest).
He clashed with the protagonist because the protagonist was not like Hermione, who only endorsed and didn't even have a good relationship with the people in his own house, but as a Muggle, he suppressed Malfoy in every way.
