Section 900 From the Past to the Present

The third-story courtyard is 110 meters long from east to west and 95 meters wide from north to south, and is made of bauxite, with two Quburo at each end of the east-west axis. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. biqUgE。 The pediments of the two Quburo are both on the third floor, and the gables of the West Quburo are no longer in place.
The pediment of Siquburo, now in the collection of the Musée d'Agume in Paris, depicts the battle of two brothers, Sunda and Upasunda, in the Hindu epic Mahabharata, for the title of Tilottama to the heavens.
The pediments of the eastern Quburo are scattered on the ground and depict the story of the demon snatching Rama's wife, Siddha, in the Hindu epic Ramayana. The moat in the courtyard is cut in half by paving along the east-west axis, and surrounds the second level of the courtyard.
The periphery of the second floor of the courtyard is a bauxite enclosure wall with a length of 42 meters from east to west and a width of 38 meters from north to south, and the inner perimeter is a square brick wall with a side length of 24 meters. On the pediment of the outer wall, the pediment of the western Quburo is carved the story of Rama helping the monkey king Sukaripa to kill his brother Borin.
The inner walls had collapsed, and only Qubro to the east and a brick temple to the west remained; On the east side, on the outside (on the east side) of the Quburo pediment, there are dancing Shiva carvings, and on the inside is a durga. In the courtyard there was another corridor of bauxite, which had now collapsed intermittently.
Bengmealea, a small Angkor Wat-style temple, its name means "lotus pond".
Located 40 kilometres east of the Angkor Ensemble, the temple is a Hindu temple, but it has some sculptures that reflect Buddhist themes. The original material used to build the temple was sandstone, so many of the buildings have been destroyed and are difficult to restore.
Bang Mee Lie is not part of the regular Angkor scenic area, so it is rarely included in the itinerary of a typical tour group, because it is indeed too remote.
The Bunmi is lined up between the abandoned courtyard and the tower. Trees and grass grow thickly. For many years, it has been a difficult place to get to, but the recently paved roads have attracted many tourists.
Edit the features of this section. It takes a lot of time to get to the main Angkor monuments by car, which is faster and "tutu" is slow.
When Yunluo arrived at Bang Mi Lie, he found that Bang Mi Lie is very similar to what it was like when foreign explorers discovered Angkor: the temple had collapsed badly. Sheltered by trees, there is no way out.
Without a guide, Yunluo wouldn't know how to walk through this huge ruin. Friends who have watched the movie "Tomb Raider" must still have an impression of Tabulong Temple, it gives people a strange feeling, and Bang Milie brings you more shock.
As you go deeper into the area where Bang Mi Lie is located, you will also find the boardwalk. This boardwalk is also related to a movie, which was built during the filming of the movie "Tiger Brothers". It can be seen that many of the attractions in the Angkor monuments are loved by film directors, because the mystery revealed here is absolutely rare in the world.
Climb the window as you follow the local guide. As you walk through the roofs and through the houses, you will find that there are always surprises ahead, and you never know what surprises await you. If you're an adventurer, don't miss it.
This Hindu temple built during the Jayavarman 5 period was dedicated to Lord Shiva and was the first temple in the Angkor complex to be built entirely of sandstone. It is a dilapidated, hidden, unrepaired temple that was never completed. The walls of the temple, which were supposed to have reliefs, were empty.
Because of its pristine appearance, some say it is one of the most worthwhile and most difficult to visit in the Angkor Ensemble. The moat of Bangmil Lie is 1.2 kilometers long. At 0.9 km wide, it is almost the same size as the Angkor Temple, but it is still tightly wrapped in jungle.
Many of the reliefs and statues have been looted due to their remoteness, but the mystical atmosphere of the temple still pervades the forest.
When I first arrived in Siem Reap, my first impression was the poverty here. As soon as I got out of the car, I saw the dark big-headed dolls begging barefoot, and the people with big eyes were so heartbroken, and they gave a little money at first, but then Yunluo found that there were too many children like this here, and it was not suitable for anyone.
Phnom Penh is a good city to live in. You can only feel her taste after staying for a while, and although you only look at Phnom Penh from the car, the scale and style of the temples here are eye-catching. By the time you arrive in Siem Reap, it is already dark, and the bus company has already agreed with the trailer drivers that the trailer will take you to the city center for free with a note with your name written on it.
The driver was super enthusiastic and took a few to a hotel called iwinhostel, which cost $12 for three people. Electric fan hot water wifi, the female boss is beautiful and capable, several male waiters look very honest in the hall can surf the Internet, drink, eat, watch Cambodian cartoons.
Other recommendations: double room in tasom, 8 dollars a night, the house is beautiful, cleaned every day, and then it is also equipped with wifi, hot water, Xiaoice box, TV, fan and a hearty breakfast. Yunluo's place of residence is not far from the nightmarket, and after washing up, Yunluo forms a group of six to go to the night market for dinner.
Yunluo went to withdraw money first, most of the ATMs here do not support UnionPay, only at the end of the night market there is a Jiahua Bank. The population is much more complex than any other city in Vietnam, with Australian, British, Japanese, Chinese, Moroccan people eating together, and geckos on the table.
When Yunluo walked around the corner at night, Yunluo realized how much Yunluo loved the night market here, the chaotic elements you can think of, everything here, robbers, thieves, drunkards, street girls, foreign ruffians, drug dealers, gaybar, lady Boys opened restaurants, all kinds of restless excitement and endless noisy tourists, constitute the beautiful night scene here.
Many people say that it is very chaotic here, it is true that the forest is big and there are all kinds of birds, although Yunluo walks around until more than twelve o'clock every night, but safety first, everyone still calls a few more people before going out.
The next day, I rented a bicycle for a dollar at the gate and started a three-day tour of Angkor, about 5 kilometers from where Yunluo lived, divided into 1 day, 3 days (recommended) and 7 days, the price is: 20 US dollars. $40, $60. The price of renting a trailer is about 40~50 dollars a day.
Yunluo rode for three days according to the most classic route, first small circle, and then large circle, and the specific route was: Day 1: Small circle: Angkor Temple - Tongwang City (Bayon Temple, Bafang Temple, Aerial Palace, War Elephant Steps, Leper King Steps) - Zhou Sa Temple - Takeo Temple - Tabu Monastery - Bandai Kati - Bakken Mountain.
Day 2: Big Circle: Shengjian Temple - Longpan Pond - Tasun - Dong Meibun - Birei Temple - Royal Bath - Cardamom Temple. Day 3: Angkor Temple - Queen's Palace - Bang Mi Lie (due to the distance and price, the two places behind the clouds are not seen).
If you want to rent a tubtub car. In addition to going with them, you must plan your own itinerary before you go, generally a small circle first, then a large circle, when to watch the sunrise, when to watch the sunset, arrange it in advance. Generally, to see the sunrise in the west of Angkor Wat, enter the west gate, and find a place to sit. The specific location can be seen by following the flow of people.
There are three locations to watch the sunset, and you can change one place every day, and you can change one point with one shot. If you do a tubtub car, the driver will tell you that they speak English very well and are very familiar with the route. But you must know that things like sunrise and sunset are like love, and they depend on fate. Don't force it.
ps: According to the observation of Yunluo for three days, the flow of people will be particularly large in the afternoon. They are all uncles and aunts with the group, super noisy, for children's shoes who pursue feelings, you must avoid the time period of 4:00~5:00, it is too terrifying.
On the third day, you can actually go to the Queen's Palace and Bon Milie, and you have to use a tubtub car to get to these two places. Riding is basically unreachable.
The following is the three-day itinerary of the online traveler tuktuk car, you can learn from it: Day 1: Sunset on Bakken Hill 4 US Knife Day 2: Small Circle 10 US Knife Day 3: Little Angkor Sunrise Grand Circle Queen Palace 16 US Knife. Day 4: Outer ring + 30 US knives.
The three-day itinerary is an intensive visit to various temples, not to mention the feeling of clouds, everyone has an Angkor in their hearts. Ride for three days, 30 kilometers a day. You don't have time to do your homework, so the best way to visit Angkor is to do your homework in advance, and then review the materials while visiting each temple, each with a different story behind it.
If you're lucky, you'll be able to meet a local guide who will give you a few free introductions to the temples, and there are a lot of foreign tourists here, so you'll get a few introductions during the day. In addition to these ancient temples, there is also the sunrise and sunset here, and the dawn of the sunset, which carries the ancient culture, makes people quiet unconsciously.
In addition to the temple itself, the children in the temple are also impressive, they usually come out to sell things at the age when they should go to school, the young is 5~6 years old, and the older is only 15~16 years old, poverty makes them have to pick up the burden of the family, Yunluo met a little girl on the road, only 8 years old, because of perennial malnutrition, the small body looks only about 5 years old.
His mother has lost her mobility, his father has long since died, you know, in Cambodia, the national disease infection rate has reached an astonishing 2.7%, and countless children have been born with it. Years of poverty have made it difficult for these families to even eat. Healing is simply a fantasy.
If you go to the temple, you will find that many children go to school here, learn English and Japanese, and these are orphans, and most of their parents have died of illness. Some of these innocent children were born with diseases they didn't know about, and their hearts were filled with fear, but they didn't know what those fears meant.
Yunluo met a "teacher" on the road, who was volunteering to teach these children, Yunluo asked: Then what is your usual job? He said, "Just teach these kids Japanese," "What about your income?" "If there is no income, the temple will provide fasting food" "Why are you doing this?" "Because the Buddha allowed him to do good deeds, because he was once a part of them, he was also an orphan."
These children in Angkor Wat usually sell postcards and ethnic costumes, which are not very expensive, three postcards for two dollars, ten copies each. In addition to walking, you can also take a helium balloon tour, but just overlooking Angkor, the balloon will not flutter, and it costs $15 per time.
Monkeys in Angkor Wat, there are many monkeys in the bamboo forest next to Angkor Wat. Don't bother them, or the consequences will be the same as Yunluo.
A green area in Angkor Thom, because it can't be squeezed into the Bakken Hill (only 300 tourists are allowed to go up the mountain every day at sunset), Yunluo rests here every afternoon and waits for the sunset, although there is no sunset here, but the afterglow renders no worse color than the view seen in Bakken Hill.
It has to be said that even though many countries are responsible for the restoration of Angkor Wat, due to weathering problems, in a few decades, more and more buildings will collapse, and the legacy left by history will be less and less. Like the Maldives, one day, this place will disappear, and perhaps in ten years, some of the temples here will become "history".
If you have the chance, you must come here to see it, just like you must go to Nauru, to Kilimanjaro, to the Maldives.
On the afternoon of the third day in Siem Reap, the clouds fell in the city of Siem Reap and rested for a while, without going to the Queen's Palace and Bang Milie. I bought a ticket to Bangkok, there were many travel agencies on the street of the night market, Yunluo picked one of the cheapest night buses (private T quite bus), and then there was a long wait, and nonsense.
The Australian guy who lives with Yunluo is going to be a monk, and he has been stepping on the point for two months, and this time he is going to return to Siem Reap to become a monk, and the temple is opposite Yunluo Gh. It's very easy to become a monk here, and you can meet with the abbot as long as the temple wants you, a month or two months, or a week.
The Khmer people believe in Theravada Buddhism, and the center is to save only themselves, not sentient beings. No matter how big or small, it is certain that the locals believe in Buddhism. Ordination is quite common in Cambodia. Foreigners are no exception.
At half past two in the morning on the fourth day, the travel agency sent a car to take Yunluo to the bus station and go to Bangkok. The next morning, when they arrived at the border, the Cambodian side was playing the national anthem, and everyone was frozen. Everyone stood still, which really scared Yunluo.
In Cambodia, I took a bus, and when I arrived in Thailand, I changed to a small bread, and the total fare was paid in Cambodia, 13 US dollars. (To be continued.)
