Leaving Rouen, An Qingju and An Chuyu continued north to Honfleur, the estuary of the Seine. This small town is a typical port city, but it is not the kind of port in China. It's the kind of port where there are a lot of beautiful sailboats. An Qingju and An Chuyu barely stopped here, and An Qingju only pinched a few glimpses of the port through the car window.

At this glance, it is easy to understand why the Impressionists were so fond of the port landscapes that they took the trouble to paint them on canvas.

There was still some time before dinner, and I looked at the map and found that An Qingju and An Chuyu were only a 15-minute walk from the Bayeux War Cemetery.

The Bayeux War Cemetery, diagonally opposite the Museememorial delabataille denormandie, is the largest of the 18 Commonwealth army cemeteries in Normandy. It rests 4,848 soldiers from Britain and 10 other countries, including Germany.
