The reverberating scene of Horseshoe Bend lingered in Yunluo's mind for a long time, but another attraction today, Antelope Canyon, is also a destination that Yunluo is looking forward to.

I remember when I was a child, there was a long orange picture scroll hanging horizontally in my parents' bedroom, the orange in the picture scroll was sometimes dark and sometimes bright, and the lines were sometimes up and sometimes down, just like a silk horse hung by the soft wind, charmingly showing off its delicacy. Later, when I came to the United States, I learned that this is Antelope Canyon in Arizona.

These patterns and colors are the shape of the inner walls of the rocks in the canyon, so this time Yunluo is looking forward to really feeling the soft canyon. From Horseshoe Bend take Highway 89 back north and after a short walk turn right onto Highway 98, where you will see signs for Antelope Canyon for a few minutes.

Antelope Canyon is actually a gap between huge rocks, there are up and down, Upper Antelope Valley is famous for the pillar of light that can see the sun shining directly into the valley at noon, and Lower Antelope Valley has attracted many tourists with its own beauty, Yunluo even saw a lot of travel notes saying that in fact, Lower Antelope Valley is much more spectacular than Upper Antelope Canyon.

Yunluo had seen a lot of photos of that pillar of light before, and still felt that in fact, Antelope Valley might be what Yunluo really liked, so Yunluo drove straight to it. But today, it is very regrettable that when I arrived at the gate of Lower Antelope Valley, a big "closed" sign was posted on the door.

The staff inside said that because there was a thunderstorm yesterday, there was water inside the canyon and could not be visited, so I was sorry to let Yunluo come back tomorrow, so Yunluo could only return in vain.

By this time, it was past noon, and the pillar of light in Upper Antelope Valley no longer appeared. And the fatigue of lack of sleep made Yunluo a little tired, so Yunluo simply gave up today's tour plan and went back to the hotel to fall asleep.

Returned to Kanab yesterday to catch up on sleep, rejuvenated and ready to continue exploring the beauty of Page Town today. Thankfully, Yunluo had a loose schedule around Kanab, otherwise the closure of one of Antelope Canyons would have ruined many of the plans.

Yunluo has pushed the next Sien National Park and Bryce Canyon Park to the afternoon and tomorrow, and Antelope Canyon, which was not made yesterday, has become the number one task today.

Antelope Valley has to talk about the Wave Valley draw that disappointed Yunluo. Yunluo came to the Kanab Visitor Center on time at 9 o'clock today to participate in the lottery. Although there are a little fewer people coming today than yesterday, there is no choice but to pass by Yunluo - one of the winning numbers is only one number away from Yunluo!

So Wave Valley completely withdrew from Yunluo's itinerary for this trip, and Yunluo had no chance. This also just gives Yunluo a reason to come to Kanab next time, in order to see this world-famous geological wonder, Yunluo will definitely come again to draw lots!

After coming out of the visitor center, Yunluo and Yan Shenyu went straight to Antelope Valley, but Antelope Valley was still closed, but yesterday when Yunluo and Yan Shenyu left the page, they came to book tickets for the group at 12 noon in Upper Antelope Valley, so at least Yunluo and Yan Shenyu and Upper Antelope Valley can be seen.

This large area of Antelope Canyon was under the jurisdiction of the Indians, who enclosed their own territory and collected fees. He was not soft-hearted at all, and he had to charge forty dollars per person for an hour and a half of sightseeing, which made Yunluo feel distressed for a while. Moreover, all the tourists have to be brought by them in a team, and there is no way for one person to enter the Antelope Canyon on his own.

Many of the rules set by the Indians have restricted the travel of Yunluo and Yan Shenyu, but there is no way, and when they get to other people's territory, they have to do things according to their rules. In yesterday's travelogue, Yunluo mentioned that the pillar of light in Upper Antelope Valley is the biggest selling point to attract tourists.

Yunluo also queued for a long time before finally stopping the car and reporting to the small tent next to it. In a small tent, two dark-skinned Indian women collected the entrance fees and assembled the tourists.

It was nearly 12 o'clock, and the Indians put all the tourists into the back canopy of several converted off-road pickup trucks. Yunluo was relatively lucky to be placed in the front seat, sitting side by side with the driver.

The pickup truck took Yunluo and Yan Shenyu after walking through a muddy and bumpy dirt road. Stopped in front of Antelope Canyon. Upper Antelope Valley is actually a gap between two giant stones, which is narrow and wide, and when it is narrow, only one person can walk through, and ten people can stand at the same time in a wide place.

The entrance to the canyon is relatively wide, and once you are in it, you will be instantly attracted by the lines and colors on the surrounding stone walls. The gorge wall is like the color of an orange peel that has been dried, vicissitudes of life without losing its vividness, spectacular and detailed.

This is a canyon washed out by both wind and water, and any folds in the stone wall are like footprints left by wind and water, reminding people of the long history of this canyon.

Slowly walking towards the canyon, the space became smaller and smaller, and there were more and more people, and when I was about to reach the middle of the canyon, I saw the so-called pillar of light. The sunlight shines through a small hole in the top of the canyon, forming a ray of white light. In order to let Yunluo and Yan Shenyu better appreciate this pillar of light, the Indian administrator inside also specially prepared fine sand to throw in the air.

Let the sand reflect more sunlight, making the pillar of light more visible and brighter. But to be honest, Yunluo didn't think that this pillar of light was as spectacular as the legend, but the bright and unbright lights that randomly sprinkled into the canyon were more charming and moving, looming the canyon and changing colors. But then again, it's only the time when you can see the pillar of light that Antelope Valley is the most beautiful.

Once in the afternoon, when even the pillar of light is gone, the rest of the canyon will be even darker, and there will be no life. So, even if it's not for the sake of seeing the pillar of light, even if you will be a little disappointed when you see the pillar of light, it is definitely a good choice to visit during the noon period.

Yunluo also carried a tripod when he entered Antelope Canyon, although the equipment was relatively simple, but it was no problem to make do with taking a few photos. Although Antelope Canyon is narrow, there are many photographers who sprint with long guns, and they can pay some more money to stay in the canyon for a while until they are satisfied.

Although Yunluo didn't have so much time, he also took some photos that he thought were very good from the cracks. The tourists inside are also very cooperative, and when they see someone taking pictures, they consciously move out of the way for you to take pictures, so the whole shooting order is not disrupted by the tourists who are rubbing shoulders, even if each photo requires more than a second of exposure time.

Yunluo can also successfully complete the whole process from the placement of the tripod to the end of the exposure every time, and sometimes get the praise of the photos taken by the tourists behind him, which also makes Yunluo feel more comfortable.

The scenery in Antelope Canyon is breathtaking, and the cool air also makes Yunluo have a comfortable time without sweating and exertion. Yunluo even ranked Antelope Canyon at the top of the list of favorite attractions so far, and it is far more comfortable to see without being tired and beautiful than those who hike the mountain. Looking at the photos taken in the camera, Yunluo felt that the forty tickets just now were not in vain.

Coming out of Antelope Valley, Yunluo and Yan Shenyu were going to go to Page Town to buy something to eat. After running around on the road for a few days, the fruit snacks prepared before the trip had already been devoured by Yunluo and Yan Shenyu, and Yunluo and Yan Shenyu were already hungry because they didn't have lunch, and finding a convenience supermarket became Yunluo and Yan Shenyu's top priority.

Fortunately, PAGE, a town that relies on tourism to survive, has relatively complete supporting facilities, and there is a relatively large supermarket in the city center, and the food in it is very fresh. In addition to buying some fruit snacks, Yunluo and Yan Shenyu also bought a freshly baked roast chicken and some bread and soup, which they destroyed as lunch after returning to their hotel room in Kanab.

Kanab is the base camp of Yunluo and Yan Shenyu for the past few days, and they will stay for a total of three nights. The hotel where Yunluo and Yan Shenyu stayed is fortinn, a well-known express hotel chain brand in the United States, the room is very clean and tidy, with microwave ovens, refrigerators, and a steaming breakfast to eat.

And it's very well located, just behind the visitor center (where the Wave Valley draw is located) and a minute walk to the draw, so if you have the chance to come back to the lottery, Yunluo will definitely stay here.

After eating the roast chicken, there were still three or four hours before dark, and Yunluo and Yan Shenyu didn't want to waste it, so they wanted to go to Sien National Park to investigate first. It's about an hour's drive from Kanab to Sien National Park, taking Route 89 in the opposite direction of the page.

Sien National Park is actually a long canyon lined with mountains and babbling streams. Once you're in the Sien National Park, the winding road is not easy to follow, but the magnificence is absolutely world-class.

On a hillside around the corner, Yunluo and Yan Shenyu also found a lot of wild goats grazing leisurely, all of them looked very sturdy, and they were not afraid of passers-by taking pictures. This is the first time that Yunluo and Yan Shenyu have seen a large wild animal in the real sense of this trip.

The visitor centre in Sion National Park is not particularly easy to find, and if you don't pay attention, you can miss the signs. Yunluo and Yan Shenyu took many detours to find this visitor center hidden deep in the woods, and when they found it, the sun was about to set, and the visitor center was about to close.
