Chapter 8: The Hill Family

As Nataya's magical studies grew, Nataya's love for magic and her mentor grew. Nataya falls in love with her young and handsome mentor, but the family's fierce opposition is like a basin of cold water.

Her family wouldn't even let Nataya learn magic, and drove the young magician away.

Ignoring the persuasion of her mother and family, Nataya finally resolutely chose to run away from home and betray her family.

From that moment on, she would give up her glory as a member of the Hill family and choose to become a magician and follow her mentor.

It was her happiest days, but it didn't last long, and she and her mentor failed on a high-level mission. In order to protect Nataya, he chose to sacrifice himself.

In this way, Nataya lost her mentor and lover forever, and she was afraid of the night and loneliness. But fortunately, at that time, Heather took in Nataya and helped her teach her, so that Nataya would not lose herself.

This was something that Nataya didn't want to look back on, she hadn't told anyone about it, and she hadn't told anyone that she was part of the Fredenhill family.

Now, after many years, Nataya's mother died of depression a few years ago. Nataya's uncle Randall has become the new patriarch of House Hill and meets Nataya again in the town of Boshipp.

Uncle and nephew meet, in this troubled world full of disasters. There isn't a lot of language and emotion, because they've lost many, many ......

The big battle is imminent, and Nataya and I have brought back not only Avina, but also an undead chaser who is following closely behind.

At this time in the town of Boship, the head of the Order, Lord Randall of Fredden, and the members of our Demon Hunter Blade Mercenary Regiment, all forces gathered here to prepare to fight the approaching army of the undead.

Mayfair is currently treating Avina at our former secret base of Demon Hunter, but Avina is still unconscious.

We, the Demon Hunters, are not stingy either, and we have opened our secret base to all of them. However, the accommodation underneath was limited, and it was only used by the old, weak, sick, and wounded, and Mayfair was responsible for taking care of it.

The rest of our combatants, still under the command of Randall and Commander Dawn, are ready to fight the undead.

After dusk, the soldiers of Fredenburg, except for the guards and patrols, the rest of the soldiers sat around the campfire and ate in groups of three or five around the abandoned houses.

Almost all of these people are veterans of the Hill family, and after this fight, everyone is physically and mentally exhausted. They had never seen the undead before, and it wasn't until the Battle of Freden that they saw the horror of the undead.

Faced with such a terrible enemy, they didn't even know how to kill these ghosts, they could only flee in defeat. Sometimes they also feel that this battle is too bad, they are all brave soldiers who are not afraid of death, but they die like this without knowing it.

Frant and I didn't have time to communicate, we were all busy with our own things.

And just like that, before we could think too much, the army of the undead was already rushing towards the town of Boship.

The dim sky was directly obscured by the black crows, and the bell rang, and everyone took up arms and prepared for battle. Almost everyone here has had the experience of fighting an army of the undead. At this moment, there is no fear in our hearts, and we are more prepared to die.

There was a rain of rockets, and I don't know how many black crows were killed, but far fewer were killed than those that flew in. Many soldiers have been drilled into the eyes by black crows that have fallen from the sky, and finally the entire skull has been bitten and bursting out.

Immediately after, the black Death, the sheep-headed people from hell with scythes, rushed into the town. The soldier swung his weapon at them, only to be cut off by the Death Clan's scythe. Although many of the Order Knights are more powerful than these Fredon veterans, the situation is almost the same.

The corpses of human soldiers in one place, the corpses of knights of the Falcon Knights, and the corpses of Freddon soldiers.

Roger Young led the last cavalry of Fredon to rush and kill, but apart from killing some of the Death Clan and Crows, he was helpless against the ghosts, necromancers, and ghost riders who appeared next.

Catherine Jones of the Knights of the Falcon Knights held an iron battle axe in her right hand and a steel shield in her left, and blood was already spilled all over her face, some of her own, some of which were splashed by her comrades.

She had removed the helmet of the guards from her head, parried a crow with her shield, and hacked it to death with an iron battle axe. Dressed in heraldic armor and wearing a giant helmet, Daun rode on his horse, stabbed the body of a dead man with a heavy riding spear, and pulled out his iron rod to smash the head of the goathead who was not yet dead.

And our Demon Hunter Blades formed a battle formation, with the Sword of Punishment and the Round Shield in front, Fran fighting alongside me, Nataya and Kelvin in the back to support them from a distance, and Lofes in keeping them safe.

We can inflict some losses on the army of the undead, but there are so many of them, too few of us, and we have limited physical strength. Gradually, we felt powerless and began to be slowly surrounded.

We've had some injuries, too, and when we saw the number of Ghost Riders, I knew we didn't have much of a chance, unless I could use my dragon magic now, and I couldn't control it at all.

Randall and his son Jeffrey were probably worse off, with only a few of the remaining Fredden marksmen around them, the rest dead and both bruised and exhausted.

The Hill family's banner was in tatters, a blue striped cross-sword banner on a white background. The coat of arms of the Hill family is two crossed black double swords, they believe in the god of luck Raquel the most, and there is a statue of the god of luck Raquel on the main square of Freden, but it has been occupied by the undead, and even the family motto of their Hill family is, there is only a line between darkness and dawn!

I wonder if this time the god of luck will come again.

Aaron Smith, the head of Fredon, took Lord Randall's two children and the rest of the old and sick to stay in the secret base of our Demon Hunter Mercenary Regiment.

Just when the army of the undead was finally about to step on our corpses, and we all collapsed. Perhaps it was really the luck of the Hill family that saved us this time, and a door of light lit up in the middle of the town. This is a magic portal, and someone has teleported here through magic.

Who could be here at this time, and is he friend or foe?

Always remember that there is only a thin line between darkness and light!
