218 Opening Lecture 3 [text]
ps: Thank you for the tip. Brothers on the second day of July, the flower list is a lot behind, and he can't even get on the home page, which makes Jian Yun feel Alexander, Jian Yun is here to ask for some flowers, give some support, please.
Zhang Danfeng was very unhappy that he didn't drink the fairy tea that could bring people fluttering immortals, but no matter how he begged, Jin Haotian did not fulfill his wish.
In Jin Haotian's words, if you are given the opportunity, you don't seize it yourself, which means that you have no relationship with this tea, they all say that Fodu has a fate, and tea is also to be drunk by someone who is fateful, since there is no fate, let's talk about it next time.
Regarding this Jin Haotian's excuse, although Zhang Danfeng was full of complaints, he had no way at all.
Everyone else was very happy to follow Jin Haotian to find a place in the square outside to listen to the teachings of the great monk of enlightenment*, but Zhang Danfeng still looked sullen, he had not yet come out of the depressed feelings just now.
The pulpit is set up in front of the Mahavira Hall.
The pulpit is very simple, a futon wrapped in yellow cloth, without any ornaments in front of it, just a simple row of water lilies.
Water lilies are also called Buddhist flowers, which have the meaning of "clean, innocent, and sacred".
Buddhism likes lotus flowers, which signifies the energy of the Dharma.
At the same time, it is also because of its equal nature, boundless mana, and its function of saving sentient beings, like water nourishing all things.
The lotus flower is accustomed to water, and there are flowers are real, just like sentient beings are influenced by the Dharma, they can get rid of all the passions and become Buddhas, so the lotus has been widely used in Buddhism.
And because the lotus flower has the virtue of "mud but not stained, clear ripples but not demons", he is not only liked by Confucianism, but also accepted by Buddhism.
The compassionate Buddha told us: The pleasure of the five desires and six dusts cannot be touched or stained, and we should realize that the five desires and six dusts are empty and unreal, and that we must be free from the five desires and six dusts in order to be liberated. Therefore, those who study the Dharma should emulate the spirit of the lotus flower that comes out of the mud and is not stained.
In Buddhism, the lotus flower is often used as a metaphor by Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, representing the meaning of tranquility, unstained, brightness, freedom, and liberation.
Therefore, when people often see the Buddha or the Bodhisattva in the temple, they will find that they are either sitting on the lotus flower, which looks very solemn, pure and serene.
At this time, the empty square in front of the Daxiong Hall was filled with monks and devotees sitting quietly.
Great monks from all over the world sat at the front.
Jin Haotian took Zhang Danfeng and they sat behind these monks. This made Zhang Danfeng, who originally came to play soy sauce to watch the excitement, very awkward.
Sitting behind these serene and tranquil, transcendent voices, Zhang Danfeng couldn't help but feel a feeling of looking up to the mountains in his heart, although those monks were facing away from him, but he felt as if the dark side of his inner world was displayed in front of these monks at a glance, so scared that he didn't dare to do a small move, for fear of disturbing these monks.
So he sat there in great pain.
Not long after, Monk Zhixin led a group of monks from Lingguang Temple to come out surrounded by the great monk of enlightenment.
All the mages and devotees in the hall stood up and put their hands together to salute the Great Monk.
The great monk of enlightenment also returned the salute with a smile.
Among these people, Zhang Danfeng may be a layman, although he doesn't understand these Buddhist rituals, but he still follows the cat and the tiger, and learns the same.
Because he was very close to the pulpit, he was able to see the face of the Great Monk of Enlightenment very clearly, and this was the first time he had seen the Great Monk of Enlightenment.
"This is the great monk of enlightenment, that virtuous and respected monk, how can he look as kind as the old man next door. There is no such thing as the bearing of those eminent monks on TV. Zhang Danfeng couldn't help but think curiously.
Just as he was thinking like this, he suddenly felt that the Great Monk of Enlightenment above seemed to be smiling at him, as if he understood what he had just thought in his heart, which couldn't help but surprise him.
How is this possible, and then he told himself that this might be an illusion, but another voice in his heart clearly told him that it was true.
So, he didn't dare to think nonsense anymore, and hurriedly saluted the great monk respectfully.
Then, under the leadership of the monk Zhixin, the ritual before the festival began, the drums and chimes sounded in unison, the monks sang praises, and the people present were some devout Buddhists, and they naturally understood the scriptures chanted by these monks, so they couldn't help but chant along.
For a while, the entire Bada resounded with a peaceful, distant, clear and deep chanting sound.
Hundreds of thousands of people chanted together as one sound, one frequency, and this frequency came together to produce a wonderful resonance, so that the listener had a pure and peaceful state of mind, and the mind was empty, as if all the troubles had been forgotten in that moment. It's a very wonderful feeling.
Especially for Zhang Danfeng, who has not had such an experience, at this moment it seems that he is in a fairy sound, constantly cleansing the depths of his soul and removing the dirt that has accumulated on his soul.
By the time he realized it, he himself was taken aback by the thought of his own.
This was a terrible thought for him, so he immediately forcibly dispelled this thought, and although he had no idea of becoming a monk, he could not stop the seed of learning Buddhism from taking root in his heart.
After a series of rituals.
The enlightened monk ascended to the pulpit with the help of two small novices, and then sat on his knees on the futon.
This is a small novice holding a tray covered with a yellow cloth on it and walking up and placing it in front of the great monk of enlightenment.
Everyone was wondering what this was.
In the midst of everyone's suspicions, the great monk of enlightenment began to preach.
"A qiē has a law, like a dream bubble, like dew and electricity, should be viewed as such." Four verses, a pure sound, reached everyone's ears.
Listening to this voice, ordinary believers don't feel anything, they just feel that this enlightened monk is worthy of being a monk who has attained enlightenment, and this voice is so beautiful and charming.
But listening to the ears of the great monks sitting in front of them, it shook them like a thunderbolt out of thin air.
Zhang Danfeng, who was sitting in the back, felt very clearly that the bodies of these transcendent monks were involuntarily trembling over there, this was a trembling of excitement, and he even heard a slight surprised voice from the Yongxing monk sitting in front of him: "Sanskrit sound!" ”
"That's right, it's Sanskrit!"
There were a few mages next to him, and their voices trembled in their voices.
"What is this?" Zhang Danfeng was very curious in his heart and had the heart to ask, but now was not the time, so he had to wait until after the end to ask.
While he was thinking about himself, the Great Enlightened Monk continued to say in this pure voice: "Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra. Teachers, great masters and fellow practitioners: Today we have such a special cause to speak the Diamond Sutra here, and among the Buddhist scriptures, the largest part is the Prajna Sutra. The Buddha said that in the 49 years of the Dharma, the World-Honored One spent 22 years talking about the Prajna. From this, we can see that Prajna is the center of the whole Dharma. ……”
All of you here are believers in the Buddha, and you all know that the "Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra" is also known as the "Diamond Sutra", which is a magnificent Buddhist classic, and many people even repeat the "Diamond Sutra" every morning and evening, which can be described as very pious.
Even Zhang Danfeng, a guy who doesn't know anything about Buddhism and is not interested, borrowed it from the library to read it when he was in college, of course, this guy doesn't remember anything except the phrase emptiness is color, and color is emptiness.
The Diamond Sutra is one of the masterpieces of early Mahayana Buddhism, and it is also the outline of the Prajna Buddhist scriptures, and it is also the center of the entire Buddhism.
Since its inception, it has been widely circulated in the society, and there are more than 100 kinds of annotations such as usurpation, commentary, analogy, reenactment, righteous record, collection of micro, collection of explanations, scientific interpretation, zongtong, decisive doubt, general idea, and direct explanation.
This is evident in the breadth and profundity of its content and its place in the Buddhist scriptures.
The Diamond Sutra has a total of thirty-two articles, that is, thirty-two chapters.
The whole thing is about the wisdom of emptiness. It is generally believed that the first half says that all beings are empty, and the second half says that there is emptiness.
Mr. Nan Huaijin, a master of Chinese culture, has a deep understanding of the "Diamond Sutra", and has preached the Diamond Sutra many times, and he explained the "Diamond Sutra" one by one. Each product is summarized with a verse to illustrate their own experience. It's concise and straightforward, and it's worth a look.
This well-known scripture is euphemistically spoken under the pure voice of the enlightened master, and the insight of the heart is clear to the bottom of the heart, giving the believers present and in front of the TV and the computer a feeling of spring breeze and nectar in the bath, from which they have benefited a lot, feel the supreme wisdom of the Buddha, and feel a kind of serene liberation from this wisdom, and the energy full of incomparable passion, which is a very wonderful feeling.
This is also the gospel that the Diamond Sutra, which is not the supreme Dharma, brings to people.
Being this qiē is inseparable from the profound understanding of the great monk of enlightenment himself, as well as the in-depth and concise, concise and eloquent speech.
But listening to the ears of those high monks, it was like thunder, deafening, as if inadvertently opening a gate for them, this is a gate to the Cotai Avenue.
Although this great master has not yet stepped into this gate, they have clearly felt the magical power and mysterious aura emanating from that avenue from the bottom of their hearts, which is the breath left to them by the Buddha.
It's really better to listen to your words than to work hard.
Time seemed to have stopped at this moment, and in addition to the sound of the fierce wind, there was only the pure sound of the supreme mana and subtle Dharma of the enlightened great monk.
Even the birds that usually chirped stopped calling at this moment, and listened quietly to the world of tree forks, listening intently to the master*.
For a whole day, these believers sat cross-legged on the futon, quietly listening to the voice of the great monk, no one moving, no one talking, tirelessly, without hunger listening to the great monk's speech on the profound Dharma in the Diamond Sutra.
Even Zhang Danfeng was no exception, he didn't know how he sat down when he came back later, he only felt that at that moment he seemed to be filled with endless energy and passion.
