Chapter 23: Hide
"Lyle, how are you?" When Lisa had calmed down, she looked at me, "Are you alright?" β
"It's fine. "I don't feel too much, but the prostration is an indisputable fact, but that's the case, and I don't want to say anything more."www.biquge.info
"Let me see, what's going on behind you?"
As Lisa spoke, I looked into her face.
Originally, in my arms, when I blocked out the sun, Lisa's face had begun to gradually heal, and it was getting better very quickly, and now, she was almost back to her original appearance.
It's a miracle, it's what I've discovered, another amazing miracle of vampires, it just blew me away.
"Quick, Lyle, show me." Lisa whispered.
I slowly turned around and took off my upper clothes, and when my body touched Lisa's sight, I heard her let out a small exclamation, but soon, she reached out and blocked the sound herself.
"Lyle, your body has melted a lot."
Although I had expected it, my heart couldn't help but tremble a little when I heard Lisa's words.
I quickly got dressed and slowly turned around again to face Lisa.
"I'm sorry, Lyle, it's all my γγγγγγ"
"No, Lisa, it's none of your businessγγγγγγ"
"I γγγγγγγ"
"Say no more, Lisa." I interrupted Lisa.
Now I feel very weak, and our condition is still a matter of concern to me, and I don't know where the carriage is going. Now, Lisa and I are in this shade cloth, it's not a long-term solution, we need to get out of here and find a place to recuperate.
And, after the sun is raging, I am in a terrible situation at the moment, although I know that my body will slowly repair those wounds. However, all of this requires energy. For vampires, I also understand what the concept of energy is.
This reality upsets me.
The carriage was moving silently forward, and Lisa and I were both lying under the shade cloth, and we lay quietly, neither of us talking. In this way, occasionally, I would hear the somewhat annoying curses of the coachman who drove the carriage in front of me, and evidently he was also feeling some dissatisfaction with the present sun.
After walking like this for a while, I slowly sat up when I felt a lot more solid behind me.
Now, my whole body is weak, I don't have the slightest strength, and that feeling of dΓ©jΓ vu roams through my body, which makes me feel very bad.
I looked out through the edge of the shade cloth, the sun was still hot, but the ground was not as wide as it had been, and here and then there were a few thatched huts, and fences, fences, and the like, but these were still not what Lisa and I wanted.
Just as I was quietly looking around, suddenly, the coachman not far in front of us shouted, "How is this endless journey, I don't know when I will reach the foot of the mountain?" The coachman muttered to himself as if he were angry with himself.
As the driver spoke, the car slowly stopped. Then the coachman jumped off his horse. Cursing the hot sun, he staggered towards the goods in the back of the carriage.
Eventually, the driver stopped in front of the cargo.
Lisa and I were under the shade at the moment, and I thought that our bumpy human form must be a very glaring sight, and there was no reason why this person should not notice us.
When I realized this, I couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat.
At this moment, my eyes accidentally touched Lisa's, and when I saw Lisa's gaze, I couldn't help but feel a little surprised.
Now, there was a light in Lisa's eyes that was strange to me, a dangerous light, and I could almost tell what she was thinking.
It seemed that if the coachman lifted the visor the next moment, Lisa would skewer out of the cloth like a terrible female ghost, and then, choking the man's neck, would eventually take possession of the car.
I don't want her to do that, absolutely not.
It's my will, it's not thought, it's not reasoning, it's just a nature and intuition.
I don't want anyone to die, including this stranger.
The man did not lift the black cloth at once, he stood in front of the carriage for a moment, his fat figure swaying a little, and then, with his hand coming toward a corner of the black cloth, I saw his hand come in, and, after groping for a moment, he pulled out a bottle from the place, which was evidently a bottle of water. The man dragged the bottle out of the place, tilted his head, and drank it with a grunt.
After drinking the water, he took the bottle and jumped into the carriage again.
The moment he jumped into the carriage, the carriage moved slowly again.
"Lisa." I glanced at Lisa, who was still looking fierce, and called softly.
When Lisa heard my voice, her eyes, which seemed to have been positioned, finally rolled, and in an instant, her expression softened, and she became familiar to me again.
"He finally didn't lift the cloth, if he didγγγγγγ" Lisa's words didn't continue, but I already understood.
"Don't do this, Lisa, we still have a long way to go, we need γγγγγγγ"
"Shut up, Lyle, don't say that to me, never say that, I know what to do, now, I'm a vampire, my actions will not be controlled by you, no matter when, as long as I think I should do, I will do itγγγγγγ"
I don't want to argue with Lisa anymore to hear her say that, actually, it doesn't make sense.
If I have to be with her for a long time to come, we will need to adapt to each other a lot. Maybe that's just the beginning.
I reached out again, quietly lifted the shade cloth into a corner, and looked out again.
At this moment, we have traveled a long way, and the speed is much faster than before.
It's close to the mountains, the sun is no longer hot, and the mountain breeze blows from time to time, which adds a lot of coolness.
Not far from the mountain, there are already more and more green trees, although there are no forests, but the greenery has extended to this area.
Because of the mountains, the light here is dark enough for Lisa and me to be safe for the time being.
"Lisa, we can get out of here. Soon, there was a big mountain ahead, and once we entered the mountain, we were safe. I whispered to Lisa.
