Chapter 8: Out of Body

By this time, Zeus's cousin, George, who lived in the large baths, had arrived. Since today is Zeus's big day, how could he be absent? The reason why he came so early was to remind Zeus of an important event -- that is, to drink as much water as possible before the emperor entered the gladiatorial arena, only in this way, when he poured urine on the emperor's head for a while, it would look very grand and imposing!

George stood in the stands closest to the Colosseum where only the emperor could sit, and called Zeus's name loudly, but Zeus didn't hear it because it was too far away.

The slaves, of course, knew the cousin of the holy rat, and they all laughed merrily at the sight of his fat little body, barking and winning.

It took about ten minutes for Zeus to reach the closed door. After he stood still, he clasped his waist with both hands and put on a posture that could not be looked at. But as soon as he set up the pose, the entire gladiatorial arena vibrate.

The ground beneath his feet shook so hard that Zeus couldn't hold himself steady for a moment, so he hurriedly jumped to the side a few times, and then crashed into the stone wall in the doorway.

Frightened, he raised his head with wide eyes and stared at the huge arched doorway above his head, on which some fine dust had fallen with the gravel that had been loosened for a long time.

He looked back again, and the huge gladiatorial arena shook before his eyes—George, who was standing in the Emperor's exclusive seat, was now shaken down, and he was lying on the beautiful marble tabletop, his face was as stunned and frightened as if he had been stupid.

The slaves were even more faceless.

The violent shaking continued for a few more moments, and Zeus realized that it was not the gladiatorial arena that was shaking, but himself.

Accompanied by the terrible shaking of the mountain, there was a loud thunder like rolling on the ground, "boom, sonorous", straight to the gate and struck quickly, and the momentum was like a mountain and a sea!

Zeus turned his head again, his eyes rounded, his mouth wide open, and he seemed to feel an unseen storm of extreme strength coming towards him.

In the blink of an eye, the loud noise had reached the gate, Zeus swallowed dryly, and suddenly he thought of running away, running away, and burrowing into the ground—after all, he had to save his life, but it was too late!

With a "bang", two huge and heavy metal doors were smashed open, and the door panels weighing thousands of pounds slammed into the stone walls on both sides, almost knocking down the entire doorway.

"Pluto is on top!" groaned George, who was lying on the marble table. He watched as the door panel hit the wall, bounced once, and then slammed into it again—poor Zeus, he must have been smashed into a mess by now!" "How could this be? Oh, I knew I should have brought him a coin—he never thought that he would be the first animal to die in the gladiatorial arena to-day, and that he would sacrifice his own blood for the celebration—oh, maybe for the sake of it, the boatman of the Akai River, Caronte, would have broken him down!"

He "squeaked" endlessly, like all the unlucky people who have been scared stupid, George can't control his mouth and brain at the moment—he doesn't want to think about how a holy rat that has lived for more than four hundred years can die?

His eyes were still staring, and although he looked very dull, his excellent vision was not distracted by the start.

George could not see more clearly, through the two metal doors that had been knocked open, rushed in a sumptuous golden van, the two black Gallic horses pulling the cart were obviously frightened, only to see that after they rushed into the gladiatorial arena, they began to run around the empty open field without a head, and as they ran, they still kept screaming loudly, and the marble powder kicked by the hooves of the horses with their golden horseshoe nailed to them flew all over the sky, and in an instant, it seemed as if a vast silver fog had fallen out of thin air.

The two horses were selected by thousands of good horses, naturally very fit, under the background of the magnificent silver-white mist, it seemed to be a divine horse rushing out of the temple of Apollo, and the huge golden carriage dragged behind them was like a giant sun on the ground, even if it was seen from a distance, it was full of thrilling momentum.

What's more, at this moment, the carriage was dragged by two crazy horses, and it was also galloping wildly.

For a moment, George felt that his eyes were about to be blinded, because it just so happened that the rising sun suddenly poured thousands of rays of light into the gladiatorial arena, and all the light was sucked away by the golden carriage, and it was even more flamboyant and unbridled to reflect in all directions of the gladiatorial arena, and the burst of strong light was almost suffocating the heavens and the earth!

The entire arena was illuminated by the overwhelming golden light, and in an instant, everything was plated with a brilliant layer of gold, and the gold was actually flowing, galloping, and changing.

Although George was a frequent visitor to the gladiatorial arena, he had never seen such a splendid and magnificent scene.

Shocked, he lost his mind and rolled off the marble table. The emperor's exclusive seat was naturally the closest to the gladiatorial arena, so it didn't matter if he fell, he threw himself directly onto the field.

By the time he came to his senses, it was too late.

He watched as the two beastly horses galloped towards him with their hooves, and behind them the golden carriage was like a giant peak that stood above the sky, and in an instant it was about to crush him under him.

George seemed to feel that his soul was already trying to break free from his body, and at that moment, he suddenly felt his back be grabbed fiercely, and then he was carried over the gladiatorial arena by a strange force.

When he looked down, the entire nearly circular arena was beneath his feet, and he was still ascending—the next second, he could see the top of the Colosseum's walls.

"Is this what it is like for a soul to come out of its shell after death?" said George, flustered.

But he felt that something was wrong, and he could clearly feel the pain from the scratching on his back, if he was really dead, how could it be—thinking of this, George quickly raised his head, and his eyes immediately met a pair of large, blood-red eyes.

"Ahh
