Chapter 6 Tashi Village
Zoe watched as her cart of cardigans turned to ashes in the raging fire, and she was dumbfounded. Pen & Fun & Pavilion www.biquge.info
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorryβ"
Vivien stood beside him, bowing and apologizing. Zoe finally realized the consequences of what the little witch called "a little uncontrollable".
O my gods! Is this just "a little" uncontrollable? If I'm a little slower, I'll have to bury my cardigan now, okay?
Enraged, Zoe turned around and grabbed the little witch's ear: "You, you, you, ruined my carload of woolen sweaters!" β
Vivian was grabbed by Zoe's ear, tears in pain, but she didn't dare to resist and still kept saying sorry to him pitifully. Seeing Vivian's aggrieved appearance that tears were about to fall out, Zoe was not angry anymore, to be precise, he knew that it was useless to be angry again, so he let go of Vivian's ears.
"Hey." Thinking of the hard work of the past year turned into ashes, Zoe couldn't hold back the loss in her heart and sighed heavily.
This obviously made Vivien feel even more guilty. So Vivian took out the money bag from her arms and carefully handed it to Zoe: "Don't be angry anymore, I'll pay for it." β
Zoe didn't want to take Vivien's money bag because he thought how much gold could a girl have on her when she went out? But he was really angry, so he took Vivien's money bag and opened it directly to take a look inside.
After one glance, he was stunned. Raising his head, he looked at Vivien, who still looked aggrieved, lowered his head again, looked at it again, then raised his head again, and finally lowered his head again. After repeating it a few times, he was finally sure he was right.
Then, the expression on his entire face stiffened.
In this small money bag, there is a whole bag of gold coins! I almost blinded Zoe when I opened it just now!
Zoe swallowed the saliva stuck in her throat and looked at Vivian in disbelief: "You have so much money?" β
Vivian was a little dazed after being pulled by Zoe's ear, misunderstood what Zoe meant, and thought that Zoe disliked the money too little. So he pouted, and his little hand scratched at his pocket again, and took out a lot of scattered gold, silver, and copper coins. In the end, it was all in Zoe's hands.
"Not anymore." Vivien flipped her pocket out and showed Zoe, "Not at all." β
O my gods! It's good that I didn't hand you over to the church.
Zoe thought to herself, you have a lot more gold on you than the church gave you.
As a result, Zoe's mood was much better. After all, Vivien's gold coins are enough to buy a few truckloads of woolen sweaters, and he may not be able to sell those woolen sweaters anyway, so if he burns them, he will burn them. It's just a pity that the donkey that was burned to death together - hey, it doesn't seem to be dead yet, rub, this thing is actually pretending to be dead!
Zoe was in a better mood when she saw the little black donkey that had fallen to the ground crawling up again.
"Why do you have so much money on you?" Zoe asked, retracting the money bag into her arms.
"It's all given to me by the second sister." Vivien said, "Before we parted, the second sister told me that there would be a lot of money in Cather, so she gave me so much. But now it's all for you. β
The more Vivian spoke, the more aggrieved she became: "I don't even have money for food." β
"Ahem." Zoe coughed twice, "For your pity, you can go back to the village with me, how about I feed and live for you?" β
"But I'm going to Caesars City to find Randy."
"I'll go with you, too."
"Oh, that's okay." Vivien's face was relieved.
What a foolish girl, Zoe thought to herself.
β¦β¦
About fifty kilometers from Caesar, there is a village called Tashi Village. The size of the village is small, about a few hundred households, and because of its proximity to the savannah, the people of the village have lived by shepherding sheep for generations.
Zoe grew up in this village.
"Wow wow wow, is that a sheep?"
"Hmm."
"Wow wow, what's that, cow? Why is it black and white? β
"Hmm."
"Wow whoa, is that a bear?"
"Uh-huh? What a bear, that's a shepherd! β
Zoe couldn't understand why Vivien had walked all the way away, seeing everything so new. Could it be that all the people who came out of that extremely cold place were like this? How could it be that he had not even seen cattle and sheep.
So Zoe asked curiously, "What do you have there?" β
Vivien tilted her head and thought, "Orcs." β
Orcs?!
Zoe was shocked, what is this thing?
"What is an orc?"
"Orcs are orcs." Vivien said as a matter of course, but seeing Zoe's expression, she hurriedly explained, "Orcs are tall, with horns on their heads, and strong musclesβ"
Zoe felt like Vivian was described at the same level as a child. Piecing together all the features she said in her mind made up a terrifying image.
"That kind of thing, too?"
"Well, the second sister said that orcs are very cruel and one of our witches' worst enemies." Vivien said, "But I've only met orcs once, and they live farther north than we do. β
Zoe apparently couldn't understand what Vivien meant by something more northern. But as you can imagine, the place where Vivien is and here are two completely different worlds. It's no wonder she's never seen cows and sheep, just like Zoe has never seen an orc.
The two had reached the entrance of the village while they were talking, and the shepherd who had mistaken Vivien for a bear was waving to them. In fact, Zoe still can't understand why Vivien would mistake the shepherd for a bear. The gap between the two is too big, okay?
Later, however, Vivien told him that she had heard that bears were strong, two-legged, and furry creatures. It so happened that the shepherd she saw was also strong, and wearing a woollen coat, and from a distance, it looked just like the one previously described.
So she took it for granted that it was a bear. Zoe was drunk when she heard this answer.
But the shepherd was indeed strong, and looked a whole lap bigger than Zoe, which fits perfectly with the adjective "tiger's back", but he was indeed a very good man, his name was Muller, and the people of the village affectionately called him Uncle Muller, and Zoe was no exception.
"Hey Zoe boy, it's back." Uncle Muller walked up with a smile, "How is it, your woolen sweater sells - hey, who is this little girl?" β
"Uh, this-"
Zoe didn't know how to explain Vivian's identity, and now that Mueller asked, he regretted it a little, and if only he had known that he would have talked less nonsense with Vivian, and had discussed it earlier. Now he doesn't know what to say, could it be true that Vivien is a witch?
That's probably going to be the end.
Fortunately, Vivien took another pill before, so she still has black hair and black eyes, and no one will think of a witch when she sees her.
"She's a friend I met in Caesars City." Zoe could only lie," she said, "and she wanted to see how the shepherds herded the sheep." β
"Ahaha, is that so?" Uncle Muller didn't suspect Zoe's obviously unreliable words, "Then I wish your little friend a good time." β
Vivien had been listening quietly to the conversation between Zoe and Uncle Muller, but now she suddenly thought of something, and looked at Uncle Muller with a wink: "Well, can I go and see your sheep?" β
"Absolutely." Mueller cheerfully agreed, "You can touch them, as long as you don't make them angry." β
Vivien apparently ignored the second half of MΓΌller's sentence and stepped forward with joy. This made Zoe a little worried, what if she used her unreliable magic to burn all these sheep?
Well, don't think about it, crow's mouth.
Just when Zoe was struggling, Muller came to Zoe's side and looked at him with squeezing eyebrows: "Little Zoe, your friend is very beautiful, come on!" β
