Young Master Ben has to say sorry first, Ben Shao hasn't been updated for so many days, but Young Master Ben really doesn't have time, so he hasn't updated for so long, and I also spent a lot of time in the first 6 chapters, although it's almost summer, but I also have to go to school. Because Master Ben is only 14 years old, there are some times when I can't make my own decisions, please understand! In order to thank everyone, the Q group will distribute some of the paintings drawn by Master Ben, and there will be a change tomorrow to express Master Ben's heart. (Although the drawing skills are not very good, I think I can see it...... )
Thank you for reading this book! ("The following is the text" Chenxing)
Tom ran into the palace gate while the guards were not looking, hid in the darkness by the wall, and then he followed the wall and crept through the palace courtyard. The smell of roasted meat came through a small door that hadn't been closed, and Tom's stomach couldn't help but gurgle.
Tom thought to himself, "It must be the kitchen of the palace, and from here there may be a way to see the king." ”
As soon as Tom stepped through the door, a stream of hot air rushed over him, and he felt as if he had returned to his uncle's blacksmith in the village of Orina. The huge iron pot on the fire was cooking the food, and the kitchen maid walked around, stirring the pot from time to time, and placing the cooked food on a silver plate.
A tall woman hurried towards Tom and said to him in a loud voice, "Ah! You're finally here! You must be the new boy. ”
"What? Oh, yes, that's me. Tom was quick to react.
The woman introduced herself and said, "I'm the chef here, thank God you're finally here." There are two maids who happen to be sick and can't do things, you hurry up and help. The king's supper is almost ready, and we have all this food left, and you go and bring it to the king. ”
Tom couldn't believe that there was a shortage of food in the palace, and it seemed that the whole kingdom was in a much worse problem than he knew.
Tom followed the cook to the place where the plates were placed, and the food was already laid out on the plates. A steward quickly taught Tom how to hold the plate high above his head and keep it balanced, and then led Tom and the other servants to the king's dining room.
Tom's heart was pounding, and King Hugo sat at the long table with many candles. The king was younger than Tom had imagined, with thick dark hair and large brown eyes. The king was dressed in a green velvet robe, and beside him sat many gentlemen and ladies with serious expressions. Tom straightened his shoulders and brought the plate to the very end.
He told himself, "I must find an opportunity to speak to the king, and the whole village of Olingnai depends on me." ”
Sitting closest to the king was a short old man with a long beard, dressed in a reddish-blue faded silk robe and a pointed hat on his head. In the light of the candlelight, the old man's gray eyes sparkled like the jewels he wore around his neck.
Tom thought to himself, "Isn't it only wizards who dress like that?" ”
"Doesn't it look ridiculous if the person delivering the letter is wearing such clothes?" The old man smiled at Tom.
Tom gasped and said, "You know what I'm thinking! ”
"Because I'm Adoro, the wizard of light." The old man whispered to him, "Son, what are you doing here?" The old man looked at Tom carefully.
As Tom was about to answer, the door to the supper room suddenly opened, and the boy in shabby clothes, whom Tom had seen at the gate of the courtyard, stumbled in, as if he was about to faint, and two guards followed closely behind.
"Your Majesty, please forgive me for being rude." The boy knelt before the king and presented the blackened iron glove, and Tom noticed that the fingers of the glove were still clutching a golden key. "I am Edward, the retinue of the Knight of Caldor, and my master is dead."
"Dead!" The king almost jumped, his hands clutching the corners of the table, his knuckles turning white, "Impossible! ”
"It's true, Your Majesty." Tears were rolling in the boy's eyes, "Fire-breathing dragon Ferno burned him to death, and our mission to challenge the sacred beast has failed. ”
Tom couldn't believe his own ears, there really were holy beasts in the world! There is a window in the thick walls of the castle, and the Hugo dynasty looks out of the window, and the city outside the window is shrouded in darkness and the lights are shining. The king sighed in despair: "My bravest knight is dead, and the kingdom of Afanxia is about to be destroyed." ”
Wizard Adulo walked to the center of the room, his expression serious, but seemingly calm. The shaman announced to everyone, "The king and the ministers have an urgent meeting, and all the servants are to be asked to leave here at once." ”
Accompanied by two guards, all the servants left the banquet hall, and everyone talked in whispers as they went.
Tom thought to himself, "I don't want to leave!" "He's going to take this opportunity to find out what's going on.
"Hurry up over there." The guard urged. As the last servant left the hall, the guard gave Tom a push.
Tom's head spun quickly, and he immediately turned back the way he came, hiding behind a large pillar near the King's seat. Tom pressed his face against the cold stone, his heart pounding, and he was afraid that anyone would hear his heartbeat.
"It's all the dark wizard Mamer." One of the ministers shouted, "We must break the evil spell of the fire-breathing dragon Ferno to control the holy beast before he destroys us all!" ”
Evil spells! Tom gasped, then quickly covered his mouth with his hand.
Edward, the attendant, turned around and shouted, "Who is hiding there?" ”
"There are spies!" King Hugo shouted. The Rain Guard pounces on Tom. Tom pleaded, "Please, let me explain!" Tom dodged the two guards, but the third jumped over to grab Tom's feet, and Tom jumped away from him and shouted at the king, "I'm here to save the lives of our villagers!" The guard grabbed Tom's arm.
"Enough!" Wizard Adulo shouted angrily, and everyone was stunned on the spot.
King Hugo ordered "to throw him into the dungeon." The king walked towards Tom and glared at him.
Tom had never looked at the king like this, and he bowed his head. "Take it away!" King Hugo pointed to the gate and shouted, "Take him away." ”
At this moment, the wizard of Adulo appeared beside the king. "I can feel that this boy is here for a reason."
The guard stopped. "Are you sure?" King Hugo was skeptical.
Wizard Adulo pointed to Tom and asked the king, "Don't you notice how much they look alike?" ”
King Hugo stared at Tom and shook his head.
Tom blinked. How similar do they look? What the hell is Wizard Adulo talking about?
As if reading what was going on in Tom's mind again, the wizard stared at Tom and told the king, "Look." ”
Tom looked at Wizard Adulo, and then a small flickering flame appeared in the wizard's palm, and the flame grew larger and larger, and Tom gasped again.
King Hugo looked at Tom with the magical flame, and his eyes widened, "Impossible! But...... That's right, you're the son of Lightning Knight Taylorton! ”
