AK47 Invention Process 4
There is no adjustment in the air chamber, and the pull handle is on the right side. The No. 2 test gun of the AK-46 type was characterized by a change in the design of the air chamber, piston, and piston rod. The air vents were lengthened, the gunpowder gas entering the gas chamber was increased, there were vent holes in the place between the lower part of the gas barrel and the barrel, and the piston rod had four grooves. The muzzle brake was changed to a two-chamber structure. Test Gun No. 3 changed the design of the air chamber so that the cylindrical air piston was completely sealed in the air chamber and the piston rod had four grooves. A new muzzle brake was introduced.
AK-47 assault rifle (Type 1)
Type 1
Type 1
The AK-47 assault rifle, which was finalized and put into production in 1949, was developed for mechanized infantry, and was officially adopted by the Soviet Army in the same year. This model does not have a bayonet, the casing and many accessories are produced by the stamping process, the advantage of using the stamping process is that the material consumption is low and the production efficiency is high. Many people refer to this early AK-47 as "Type 1" to distinguish AK-47s produced in 1951 and 1953.
Experimental type in 1951 (Type 2)
Type 2
Type 2
It was produced in 1951, and the main change was the change from stamping to machining of the casing production method. The advantage of the casing through mechanical milling is that it is relatively strong, but the disadvantage is that it is heavier, and the material consumption is large, the production cost is high, the production efficiency is low, and the production of such a milling casing weighing no more than 0.65kg requires 2.65kg of steel at the beginning. The firing mechanism, butt and grip were strengthened, and a single-edged bayonet was added. The newly produced AK-47 was called the "Type 2", although the Type 2 was produced in small quantities and was soon replaced by the Type 3.
AK-47 (Type 3)
Type 3
Type 3
It was finalized in 1953, mainly to improve the butt connection method of the second type, especially to simplify the machining method of the receiver, so as to facilitate mass production. This model is officially known as the "7.62mm Light-Weight Kalashnikov Assault Rifle (AK)", or "7.62mm Light Kalashnikov Assault Rifle", and many people call it "Type 3". It is important to note that regardless of the purpose of switching to the machining method, the milling casing of Type 3 is lighter than that of the stamping casing of Type 1. In addition, the improvements of the Type 3 include the magazine, which is also strengthened and interchangeable with the original steel magazine. In addition, the butt attachment has been simplified and reinforced, and this series of improvements has made the overall weight of the assault rifle lighter than that of the Type 1, while the ballistic performance is fully consistent with that of the Type 1.
Structural featuresEdit
The AK-47 assault rifle is reliable and has good serviceability; Solid and durable, low failure rate; The structure is simple, easy to decompose, and durable. However, the muzzle jumps seriously during continuous shooting, which affects the accuracy, and the accuracy is extremely poor when firing continuously; Compared with small-caliber rifles, the system has a large mass and is inconvenient to carry. The gun is available with a fixed wooden stock and a folding metal stock.
The barrel of the gun was joined with a receiver screw, the rifled part of the gun was 369mm long, and the barrel was chrome-plated. Shooting performance is good both in high and low conditions. The casing is machined from forgings. The magazines are made of steel or light metal and are interchangeable regardless of the climatic conditions.

The firing mechanism is a hammer rotary type, and the firing mechanism directly controls the hammer to achieve single and continuous firing. The firing mechanism is mainly composed of a frame, a non-complete fuse, a stopper, a trigger, a fast and slow machine, a single-shot lever, a hammer, and a fail-safe stopper. The fast and slow machine was located on the right side of the gun. When the fast and slow machine is installed in the automatic position, the rear protrusion of the single-shot iron blocking iron is pressed by the lower protrusion of the fast and slow machine, and cannot be rotated, so the hammer cannot be stopped. At this time, the firing stopper is buckled with the hammer and becomes a state ready to strike. After the trigger is pressed, the blocking iron releases the hammer, and the hammer rotates to fire. After that, as long as the trigger is pulled and not released, the firing iron and the single shot iron cannot hold the hammer, and only the inadequate safety iron can resist the hammer slot. When the frame is re-advanced in place and pressed down the inadequate safety iron rod, the bamboo shoots will be separated from the hammer slot, and the hammer will be rotated and fired. After that, the above actions are repeated to achieve burst shooting. When the fast and slow machine is set in the semi-automatic position, before the first bullet is fired, the blocking iron catches the hammer and becomes a state of standby. After the trigger is pulled, the stopper releases the hammer, and the single-shot stopper also rotates forward. If the trigger is not released, the hammer will be caught by the single-shot stopper when it is overwhelmed by the frame after firing. At this time, because the frame is not re-entered into place, the drive rod of the safety iron is not in place, and there is a small gap between the shoot and the hammer slot. When the frame is re-entered into place, and the safety blocking iron is not in place again, the hammer is held by the single-shot blocking iron, if it is fired again, the trigger must be released first, so that the single-shot blocking iron is released from the hammer, and the hammer is then buckled by the shooting blocking iron into a standby state again. If the frame re-entry is not in place, the bolt locking is not certain. At this time, the free bamboo shoots of the frame are not pressed down and the safety is not in place, so the safety blocking iron shoots cannot be separated from the hammer card slot. Therefore, even if the trigger is pulled, the hammer still cannot turn forward, so there is no insurance. When the fast and slow handle is in the topmost position, its lower protrusion resists the right side of the protrusion after the single-shot blocking iron and the protrusion at the rear end of the trigger, so the trigger cannot be pulled to achieve insurance. If the hammer is in the standby position at this time, there is a bullet in the chamber, because the trigger cannot be pulled, the hammer cannot be released, so the rear insurance is formed. If the hammer is in the firing position at this time, because the trigger cannot be pulled, the blocking iron cannot rotate forward, and when the hammer falls backwards, it is blocked by the blocking iron, and the frame can only recoil for a short distance, and the bullet in the magazine cannot be pushed into the chamber, so the forward insurance is formed. The gun sighting device uses a mechanical sight and is equipped with a night vision sight. Both the cylindrical crosshair and the gauge U-shaped notched door have reversible attachments and are filled with the fluorescent material radium 221. The gauge is divided into 100~800m, one is divided into 100m, and the combat gauge is set at 300m. However, when using the sight to aim, the front sight can only be twisted up and down for height correction, and the wind deviation correction cannot be carried out, and the front sight wing is often mistaken for the front sight when shooting at night. THE GUN AUTOMATIC MODE IS THE GAS CONDUCTION TYPE, THE LOCKING MODE IS THE BOLT ROTARY TYPE, CAN IMPLEMENT SINGLE, BURST SHOOTING, FIXED BUTT FULL LENGTH OF 870MM, FOLDING BUTT EXTENSION TOTAL LENGTH OF 870MM, FOLDED SOLID 645MM, BARREL LENGTH 415MM, FULL GUN WEIGHT 4.3KG, MAGAZINE CAPACITY 30 ROUNDS, MUZZLE VELOCITY 710 M / S, THEORETICAL RATE OF FIRE 600 ROUNDS / MIN, EFFECTIVE FIRING RANGE OF 300 METERS.
