1. Human bone rosary

The human bone rosary is a unique ritual instrument of Tantra and is unique to the world. The bones of ordinary people are not qualified to be used as prayer beads, and in **, only the bones of lamas can be used to make prayer beads. Because the lamas in Tibet are in a difficult natural environment all year round; Practicing hard has a certain amount of evidence, coupled with the merits of practicing clumsy fire and other internal retribution, his body has been an extraordinary body of human karma, but a complete retribution with great merit, plus he made a vow to practice his whole life in the bones, in the way of heavenly burial, made into ritual instruments and prayer beads, and left them for the practitioners who are destined to help them become Buddhas, so the truly meritorious rosary must be a lama bone.

However, not all the bones of lamas can be made into rosaries, usually only two parts of the bones can be made into rosaries, one is the finger bone, and the other is the eyebrow chakra bone (that is, the bone in the middle of the eyebrow). Why do you only take bones from these two places? Because the bones in these two places are most relevant to the practice, the eyebrow chakra bone is the entrance and exit of the visualization and the place where the mind is placed. The achievements of a practitioner's life lie in Si. The finger bones are usually used to enforce the law, count the rosary, perform deeds, and make mudras, and they are also the key to practice. The eyebrow bones and phalanges are the most commonly used places for practitioners. Finger bone rosary. Cut the bones of your fingers into several pieces and thread them through them. Finger bone rosaries are generally easy to obtain. Because there are more fingers, several people can make a string of prayer beads. The rosary of the eyebrow chakra is a hundred times more difficult, and usually, the lama's skull is retrieved, the skull is lifted, and it is inlaid with gold and silver as a vessel for offering to the Nyorai Bodhisattva. Next, remove the brow bone, which is extremely hard. When removed, it has an irregular shape and requires a long period of pondering. In the lama temple, there are generally lamas who vow to ponder the human bone rosary, they take this eyebrow bone to ponder on the stone, and recite a mantra or Buddha number every time they grind it, and a brow wheel bone grinds into a round rosary, and may have to recite tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of heart mantras or Buddha names, so it is natural that the human bone rosary has incredible power. And that's not all. After grinding a lama's eyebrow chakra, it is kept in a treasure basket, and when the second lama dies, it is also ground into a rosary. Sometimes, a lama who grinds the rosary cannot grind a string of eyebrow prayer beads in his life. He died, and another lama took over his job and ground his eyebrow chakra into a rosary. Put it in the treasure basket until you gather the required number of prayer beads to make a string of prayer beads.

For practitioners. Of course, the human bone rosary is more special than the ordinary rosary, and the use of human bone as a rosary can especially feel the impermanence quickly. No matter how well a lama practices is, his body will eventually decay and eventually die, so we dare not slack off when counting the rosary. In addition, the human bone rosary is made of the bones of the monks, and it has the power to ward off demons and exorcise evil spirits, especially when doing the death puja, the human bone rosary has incredible power, so that the dead are exceeded, and the living are safe.

2. Human skin drum

Drums, since ancient times, are made of animal skins as drum surfaces, which is the righteousness of heaven and earth. However, there is a human skin drum in the Iron Tile Temple of Wutai Mountain, which cannot but be said to be a rare thing.

(1) There are two legends about this human skin drum

1. A kind of legend

Iron Tile Temple

Located in Dongzhuang Village, the iron tile temple is divided into two courtyards, the front yard is called Faxiang Temple, and the back yard is called Taifo Nunnery. According to legend, there used to be a husband and wife, due to the death of their only son, came to this temple to practice, the man was in Faxiang Temple, the woman was in the Buddha Nunnery in Taiwan, and when the woman was dying, she vowed to make the drum face of the skin, so that people could knock thousands of pounds to eliminate disasters for those orphans and widows.

2. Another legend

Black Mountain Temple

During the Tang Dynasty, there was a Black Mountain Temple in the Yin of Beitai, and there was a monk in the Black Mountain Temple, whose legal name was Faai. He served as a supervisor in this Black Mountain Temple for twenty years, and he used the money of the temple to buy a lot of land, and he took possession of it, and owed a debt that needed to be paid off by Niu III. Therefore, when he died, he dreamed of his disciples' teachings, and was willing to peel his skin to make a drum, and the name of the book was a drum, so that people could beat it thousands of times, only in this way could he redeem his sins as soon as possible, so as to get rid of his suffering, and his disciples did what he said. This is where the human skin drum comes from. Due to age, the drum surface has long been tattered. Before the Cultural Revolution, the diameter of the drum surface was less than one and a half feet. On one side of the drum, the two **s on the woman's chest are drawn with oil pen color, and on the other side of the drum, a vertebra is faintly visible. People who don't know the inside story, still believe that this is a human skin drum, in fact, it has long been changed, this drum, currently preserved in the apse of Xiantong Temple.

(2) Historical stories

Legend has it that Emperor Kangxi had a dream, dreaming that he was cruising in the northwest, in the deserted sand moraine, suddenly appeared an oasis, the clear water flows westward, there are two towering trees next to the river, the tree hangs a golden crown, jade belt, next to a golden and brilliant city, really like a fairyland. Then he ordered people to map and visit, and then saw the clear water flowing westward in the vast Gobi Qiaowan area, there are two tall poplar forests beside the river, with straw hats and grass belts, which coincide with the scene in Kangxi's dream, the only deficiency is that there is less of the golden and brilliant city. So Kangxi allocated a huge amount of money to send Cheng Jinshan and his son here to supervise the construction of a military defense city, which was used to strengthen the military in the west, the garrison army, and unite the ethnic minorities. I didn't want Cheng's father and son to receive the order, but seeing that this place was desolate and remote, and thinking that Kangxi would be able to come here for a tour in the future, he embezzled the money from the construction of the city and hastily built a small earthen city. Five years later, a minister was sent to the west, wanting to see the city with his own eyes, which had been built at great expense. But there was only one small earthen city in front of him. So he played the saint, Kangxi investigated to the end, issued a decree to put Cheng Jinshan and his son to death, and used the skulls of his two sons to buckle together, and carved two dragons into a drum frame with silver in the middle, and the upper and lower drum surfaces were made into a human skin drum with the skin on their backs, and then made a human head bowl with the back of Cheng Jinshan's own head. In order to warn future generations, Emperor Kangxi built a royal temple more than 200 meters northwest of Qiaowan City--- Yongning Temple. In the temple, the dragon robe and horse coat of the Kangxi Emperor are offered, and the human skin drum and human head bowl are hung on the temple, and the human skin drum is hit every day to warn future generations: "To be a man with a righteous heart, to be an official to be upright", these two sentences are widely spread among the local people. In order to praise the wisdom of Emperor Kangxi, the common people wrote four big characters of "Ze is boundless" to the saint, which means "Emperor Kangxi's grace spreads all over the north and south of the motherland". These two cultural relics are regarded as heirlooms of the Qing Dynasty, and were successively stored in the Minjiao Museum and the Cultural Management Committee until 1992, when the Qiaowan Museum was set up 200 meters away from Qiaowan, and the objects have been displayed here. Although the original head drum and head bowl in the display window have been preserved for hundreds of years, they are still well preserved. The cabinet window on the side also lists the list of corrupt officials in the Qing Dynasty and their fate. Among them were He Kun, Minister of Military Aircraft, Li Shuyao, Governor of Yunnan and Guizhou, etc. In the end, these people were all sentenced to death, and some of them were even of the nine tribes. On a larger display board, it reads, "With history as a mirror, you can know the rise and fall; With copper as a mirror, you can be dressed; Take people as a mirror, you can understand philosophy", and admonished all party members and cadres to keep in mind that "power is used by the people, feelings are related to the people, and benefits are sought by the people".
