Chapter 30: Inside the Little Black House
"Go ahead. Pen ~ Fun ~ Pavilion www.biquge.info" Penelope urged in a low voice, gently pushing Xingzhe.
Seongzhe stood up, and he paused. He then walked down the passage between the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff tables.
He didn't feel particularly comfortable because there were too many unnecessary things hidden in these eyes.
He could feel hundreds of pairs of eyes on him, as if each eye could not be a searchlight. The buzz is getting louder and louder. He walked straight up to Dumbledore, and he felt all the teachers' eyes fixed on him.
"Okay...... Go to that door, Owen. Dumbledore said, the expression on his face intriguing.
Xingzhe sighed inwardly, and then walked along the faculty desk. Hagrid sat on the very edge, and he didn't wink, wave, or say hello to Owen as he normally would. He seemed completely stunned, just staring blankly at Xingzhe walking by like everyone else.
Seong-cheol walked through the door and out of the auditorium, finding himself in a small room with portraits of wizards hanging on the walls on either side. In the fireplace across from him, the fire was blazing.
When he entered, all the faces in the portrait turned to look at him. He saw a crumpled witch swooping out of his frame and into a nearby frame, where a male witch with a walrus beard was on it. The crumpled witch began to quietly bite his ear.
Victor Klum, Cedric Diggory, and Fleur Delacour gathered around the fire. Against the backdrop of the flames, the impression of those three figures was particularly strong. Krum leaned against the mantelpiece, bent over something, slightly distancing himself from the other two. Cedric stood there with his hands behind his back, his eyes fixed on the fire. As Harry walked in, Fleur Delacour turned her head and flicked her long, waterfall silver hair.
"Is that you?" She asked, "What are you doing in here?" Shall we go back to the auditorium? β
She thought he had come in to deliver the word. Xingzhe didn't explain what had just happened at all. He just stepped aside and stood silent.
There was a rush of footsteps behind him, and Ludo Bagman walked into the room. He wanted to lean on Xingzhe's shoulder, but the sleeve was close, but Xingzhe shrewdly dodged it.
"It's so bizarre!" He didn't seem to mind the embarrassment just now, the natural transformation of his body, and he whispered, "It's absolutely too bizarre!" Two gentlemen...... Ma'am," he said to the other three, as he walked over to the fireside, "may I introduce - as incredible as it may seem - that this is the fourth champion of the Triwizard Tournament!" β
Victor Krum straightened up and looked Xingzhe up and down, a gloomy expression on his face. Cedric looked overwhelmed. He looked at Bagman and then at Xingzhe, thinking that he must not have heard what Bagman said. Fleur Delacour shook her long hair, smiled, and said, "Oh, it's a funny joke, Mr. Bagman. β
In Xinghe's eyes, her smile was really fake, very restrained, and she must be extremely dissatisfied in her heart.
"Jokes?" Bagman repeated, somewhat puzzled, "No, no, absolutely not!" His name spewed out of the Goblet of Fire! β
Krum's two thick eyebrows furrowed slightly. Cedric still looked very cultured and confused. Fleur frowned.
"But that's obviously a mistake," she said haughtily to Bagman, "and he can't play." He was too young. β
"yes...... It's surprising indeed," Bagman rubbed his smooth chin and looked down at Seong-cheol with a smile, "but, as you know, the age restriction as an extra security measure was only introduced this year, since his name is squirting out of the goblet...... I mean, I don't think I'm allowed to escape now that I've gotten to this point...... The rules are very clear and you must follow them...... Owen is going to do his best-"
The door behind them was pushed open again, and a large crowd entered: Professor Dumbledore, followed by Mr. Crouch, Professor Karkaroff, Lady Maxim, Professor Flitwick, and Professor Snape. Before Snape could open the door, Xingzhe heard the buzzing of hundreds of students in the auditorium next door.
"Madame Maxim!" Fleur said immediately, striding towards her principal, "They said this little boy was going to compete too!" β
Little boys?
Xingzhe raised his eyebrows, this guy did it on purpose, mocking me? But who was unkind to him first!
Madame Maxim straightened her tall and burly frame. Her handsome head touched a chandelier lit with candles, and her huge breasts in black satin rose and fell violently.
"What the hell does that mean, Dumbledore?" She said arrogantly.
"I want to know that too, Dumbledore," Professor Karkaroff saidβwith a cold smile on his face and blue eyes as cold as ice, "There are two champions at Hogwarts?" I don't remember being told that the host school could have two Warriors - didn't I read those statutes carefully enough? β
He let out a short laugh, and his voice was unpleasant.
"This can't be," said Lady Maxime, her large hand with many ornate opals resting on Fleur's shoulder, "it's grossly unfair that Hogwarts can't have two champions. β
"We have the impression that your age line will keep out underage competitors, Dumbledore," Karkaroff said, still with a cold smile on his face and a chill in his eyes, "otherwise, we will definitely bring more candidates from our school." β
"This thing.... Just ask Paul himself, Karkaroff," Snape said softly, his dark eyes flashing with hostility, "don't blame Dumbledore, Owen Paul has always been a comparison... Well, confident students. β
Thankfully, I don't know if Snape didn't say anything to taunt him because he was a fellow Phoenix.
"Thank you, Severus." Dumbledore said categorically, Snape closed his mouth, but his eyes still shone intriguingly through his greasy black hair.
Professor Dumbledore now looked down at Xingzhe, who wanted to read the look hidden behind the half-moon lenses.
"Did you throw your name into the Goblet of Fire, Owen?" He asked calmly.
"Nope."
He was well aware that everyone was watching him closely. Snape watched him quietly in the shadows.
"Have you asked an older classmate to help you put your name into the Goblet of Fire?" Professor Dumbledore ignored Snape and continued to ask.
"Nope."
"Ah, he must be lying!" Madame Maxim exclaimed.
"There's no way he's going to cross that age line," Snape said, "and I'm sure we can all agree on thatβ"
"Dumbledore's line must be wrong." Madame Maxim said, shrugging her shoulders.
"Of course, it's possible." Dumbledore said politely.
Professor Flitwick looked at everyone in embarrassment, as if the situation was awkward and difficult to deal with.
