Chapter 8 The New Semester Begins

"Miss Granger, I noticed that you have taken quite a few classes this semester. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. biqUgE怂 ļ½‰ļ½Žļ½†ļ½ā€

"Well, actually, Professor McGonagall, I think I can do it, I really enjoy learning..."

"No, no, no, I'm not questioning your ability to learn, but... A lot of classes are actually conflicting, and you can't do them at the same time. ā€

"Ah, this..."

"Still, I hope this thing helps, I hope it helps." Professor McGonagall took out an object, and Xingzhe looked at it, it looked like a chronograph used by the physical education teacher in a previous life to calculate the running results of his classmates.

"What is this?"

"The time turner, I got it from the Ministry of Magic, it can meet your needs for classes at the same time..."

Xingzhe suddenly remembered the role of the time converter, but... He couldn't help but wonder, when he saw the time turner, he suddenly had a mysterious urge in his heart, and he wanted to rush up and take this thing for himself.

What are you kidding, how can you be interested in that thing?

He shook his head suspiciously, the tangled and uncomfortable mood made him puzzled.

By this time, Hermione had learned how to use it, and she walked straight out of the room door, and Xingzhe quickly followed.

Harry waited only a few minutes before Hermione came out beaming, followed by Professor McGonagall. The three of them descended the marble staircase and returned to the auditorium.

Xingzhe was a little sullen on the road, he felt that this eavesdropping was of no value at all, but he wondered about the longing he had when he saw the time turner, this feeling was really like a vampire who had been hungry for a long time and suddenly found a beautiful human....

The auditorium was a sea of pointed black hats, and every long college table was filled with students, their faces glittering with thousands of candles floating above the tables. Professor Flitwick, a small, gray-haired wizard and head of Ravenclaw, walked out of the Great Hall with an antique hat and a three-legged stool.

"Oh," Hermione whispered, "we didn't make it to the sorting ceremony. ā€

New students at Hogwarts wear a Sorting Hat before being sorted into various houses, and the Sorting Hat loudly states which house the student is best suited to attend. Professor McGonagall strode towards her empty seat at the faculty table, while Harry and Hermione turned to the other side, tiptoeing as far as they could towards the Gryffindor table.

As they walked past the back of the auditorium, people turned their faces to look at them, and a few of them pointed at Harry. Could it be that the news of him fainting in front of the Dementors spread so quickly?

Xingzhe reacted quickly, and at an opportunity, he lifted his transformation and naturally sat between Luna and Penelope.

"What are you doing?" Penelope asked Xingzhe softly.

Xingzhe just wanted to whisper to him, when the principal stood up and spoke, and Xingzhe stopped talking.

The boss spoke, and it was better for him to be honest.

Professor Dumbledore, despite his age, always gave him a sense of energy. He had silver-white hair and a beard several feet long, wore half-moon glasses, and had a particularly crooked nose.

He had seen Dumbledore during the summer vacation, and it hadn't been long now, if it weren't for Dumbledore, he would probably have been trapped in Kunlun Mountain.

At this moment, the principal smiled at all the students.

"Welcome!" Dumbledore said, candlelight shining on his beard, "Welcome back to Hogwarts!" I have a few things to tell you all, and one of them is very important, so I think it's best to make it clear before you enjoy a delicious meal and your mind gets muddy......"

Dumbledore cleared his throat and continued, "Our school currently has several Dementors from Azkaban, who have been sent by the Ministry of Magic on official duty, as you all already know, as they searched the Hogwarts Express. ā€

He paused, and Seong-cheol pinched Luna with his right hand, who was much better now, but also blushed.

Xingzhe's palm is really warm, she thought to herself.

"They are stationed at every entrance to the school," Dumbledore continued, "and I must make it clear that no one is allowed to leave the school while they are there. No amount of trickery, tricks, or disguises can fool the Dementors - not even the Cloak of Invisibility. He added faintly, and Harry and Ron looked at each other for a moment, "Dementors don't understand justification and begging for mercy. So I remind all of you not to let them justify hurting you. I hope that the prefects and our newly elected presidents of the boys and girls will make sure that no student is allowed to clash with the Dementors. ā€

Percy didn't listen to this, he just kept staring at Penelope and Xingzhe, that look.... It's complicated.

Penelope looked at Xingzhe. "Don't worry, I'll teach you and Luna how to fend off the Dementors." Xingzhe said confidently.

Dumbledore paused again, looking around the Great Hall with a very serious expression, and no one moved or made a sound.

"Let's change the conversation to a little more pleasant," he continued, "and I'm excited to welcome two new teachers to our roster this semester.

"First of all, it's Professor Lupin, who readily agrees to fill the void in the Defence Against the Dark Arts class."

There were a few cold, sparse applause in the auditorium. Only Harry and the others, who were in the same compartment with Professor Lupin on the train, were clapping, and Lupin was much better than Lockhart. The other teachers were wearing their best robes, and Professor Lupin looked even more ragged as he sat next to them.

Xingzhe suddenly noticed Snape's expression.

Professor Snape was the Potions teacher, and he was staring at Professor Lupin at the other end of the staff's table. Everyone knew that Snape had always wanted to get a position in Defence Against the Dark Arts class, and the twitching expression on Snape's thin yellow face, Xingzhe couldn't help but smile. The expression was more than anger, it was hatred.

Xingzhe's incomprehensible smile made Luna and Penelope, who were always focused on his face, feel a little strange.

"As for our second new teacher," Dumbledore and the others continued after the sparse applause that greeted Professor Lupin had calmed down, "I'm sorry to tell you that our Conservation of Magical Beasts teacher, Professor Kettleburn, retired at the end of last semester to have more time to enjoy his old arms and legs. I am pleased to announce, however, that it is none other than Rubeus Hagrid who will fill his position, and that he has agreed to accept the teaching position in addition to his duties as a gamekeeper. ā€

Harry, Ron, and Hermione looked at each other in surprise. They then applauded with everyone, especially at the Gryffindor table. Hagrid's face flushed, his eyes lowered into his big hands, and his big smile hidden behind his unkempt black beard.
