Chapter One Hundred and Four

There is no way, that year I originally wanted to ask Qin Shi Huang for help, in the form of the law to let everyone believe in Buddhism and promote Buddhism, but the plan failed, but this Buddhism can not help but promote, because I still have more than 4 million tasks, if this task can not be completed, then my headache can not be completely cured, so that year now I feel worried, and I feel listless when I think about it. "So how do you spread this Dharma?" The man seemed to be quite interested, so he smiled and asked Nian.

"Originally, I was going to teach everyone to recite the scriptures, but except for a "Heart Sutra" of Guanyin Bodhisattva, I will only recite Nan Wu Amitabha Buddha, and I will not do the rest, but I will tell the story of Buddhism, I just hope that through my story, you can understand some Buddhist knowledge, know some of the mysteries of Buddhism, and then go to follow the purpose of Buddhism, but I feel that it is still the starting point." Of course, the starting point that year was based on the conclusion that my headache had improved.

"Otherwise, you can go to our village to do publicity, anyway, in addition to farming, hunting and collecting medicine, the countryside is sometimes very idle." The man suggested to Nian.

"That's a good feeling." So I followed this man that year. Of course, the person on the road also introduced to Nian, saying that his surname is Hua, and he has lived by practicing medicine for generations, and his wife passed away due to heavy hemorrhage when giving birth to a child, and the father and daughter depend on each other, and the daughter's name is Cao'er, who is sixteen years old.

One day, when Master Wude was hoeing grass in the courtyard, three believers came up to him and saluted him, saying, "People say that Buddhism can relieve the pain of life, but we believe in Buddhism for many years, but we don't feel happy, what is going on?"

Zen Master Wude put down his hoe, looked at them serenely and said, "It is not difficult to be happy, you must first understand why you are alive." ”

The three devotees, you look at me, I look at you, and they didn't expect that the Wude Zen Master would ask them questions.

After a while, A said, "No one can die!" Death is terrible, so people have to live. ”

B said, "I am working hard now so that when I am old, I can enjoy a life full of grain and children and grandchildren." ”

C said, "I don't have as much hope as you have. I must live, or who will feed the family?"

Zen Master Wude smiled and said, "No wonder you don't get happiness, all you think about is death, old age, forced labor, not ideals, beliefs, and responsibilities." Of course, life without ideals, beliefs, and responsibilities is very tiring and tiring. ”

The believers said disapprerovingly: "It is easy to talk about ideals, beliefs, and responsibilities, but you can't eat them as food!" Zen Master Wude said, "Then what do you say you can be happy?"

A said, "With fame, there is everything, and you can be happy." ”

B said, "With love, there is happiness." ”

C said, "If you have money, you can be happy." ”

Zen Master Wude said, "Then let me ask a question: Why do some people have fame but are very troubled, love but very painful, and money but very worried?" The believers were speechless.

Zen Master Wude said: "Ideals, beliefs and responsibilities are not empty, but are embodied in people's lives at all times. It is necessary to change the concept and attitude of life, and life itself can change. Reputation must serve the public in order to be happy; Love is meaningful only when it is dedicated to others; Money must be given to the poor in order to be valuable, and this kind of life is a truly happy life. ”

That year, I felt that this first story must affect everyone's interest, so it took a lot of thought. Watching everyone talk for a while, expressing their opinions, it seems that there were some disputes, that year I felt very happy, and finally felt that my thoughts were not in vain, at the request of some people, that year I told a second story:

A samurai asked Zen Master Hakuin.

The samurai asked, "What is the difference between heaven and hell?" ”

Bai Yin asked rhetorically, "Who are you?" ”

The samurai replied, "I am a samurai. ”

After hearing this, Bai Yin smiled and said, "Just because you, a rude person, are also worthy of asking me?" ”

The samurai was furious, drew his sword casually, and slashed at Bai Yin: "See if I don't kill you!" ”

Seeing that the sword was about to fall on Bai Yin's head, Bai Yin said softly without hurrying: "This is hell. ”

The warrior was suddenly startled, and then quickly discarded his sword, folded his hands, bowed his head and bowed: "Thank you for your advice, please forgive me for my recklessness just now." ”

Bai Yin said slightly: "This is heaven. ”

"This one is a little more interesting than the one just now, can you tell us another one?"

Of course, I was able to get everyone's praise, and I felt even happier that year, so I told a third story:

Speaking of Longtan Zen Master, he was very poor when he was a young man and did not leave home, and he made a living by selling cakes and had nowhere to live, so Daowu Zen Master lent him a small house next to the temple to live.

In order to show his gratitude, he sent ten cakes to Zen Master Daowu every day, and Daowu always gave one back to Longtan, and blessed him and said, "This is for you, I wish your children and grandchildren prosperity!" ”

He was really puzzled, and one day he asked why, but Daowu said, "What is wrong with you sending it, and I giving it to you?" ”

After hearing this, Long Tan became enlightened and became a monk, and later became a generation of grandmasters.

What you take from others should be repaid to others, and what you get from the society should be given back to the society; If you want me to be good, you can win, and if I win, you will win. This great blessing is also the ultimate principle of life.

"Master Nian is right, in the future, we will all love each other and live in harmony, repay each other's kindness, and help each other." After a story is finished, someone else offers an opinion and a call.

"Yes, let's just build two huts for Master Nian, find him a wife, and let him settle down with us, and we can hear his good stories every day in the future." Someone said with a laugh.

"What kind of hut to build, what kind of wife to beg, just let him be the son-in-law of Doctor Hua, anyway, Cao'er has also reached the age of talking about marriage, and Cao'er is the most beautiful girl in our village. Everyone said it was good. "The people in the mountains are this character, not only honest, but also very straightforward, they can say whatever they want, which is a very good appetite for the year.

"Okay." What followed was an even louder laugh.

Of course, for Cao'er to be able to be his wife, that year was also a hundred satisfied, because although this Cao'er spoke a little hoarse, but she was really smart, tall, with clear eyebrows and beautiful eyes, young and beautiful, and now I just don't know if Cao'er can look at herself.
