Don't bow to fate

In the 2nd century BC, Rome spanned three continents: Europe, Asia, and Africa. Pen | fun | pavilion www. biquge。 Successive years of expansion made a large number of prisoners of war and conquered inhabitants slaves of the Romans, jokingly called talking tools.

In 80 BC, Thrace in northeastern Greece was conquered by Rome, and the warrior Spartak was captured as a slave and became a gladiator for the entertainment of the Roman aristocracy. Spartak was subjected to inhuman treatment at a gladiator school in Capua, and in 73 A.D., Spartak could not bear it anymore and said to his companions: "Let me die on the battlefield for freedom, and I will never die in the gladiatorial arena for the amusement of the nobles." And so a slave revolt broke out.

"Compatriots, although we are prisoners of war, but we are also thinking people, why should we die in the gladiatorial arena for the pleasure of the nobles, but my life and death are in exchange for the happy smile of the noble lord, we are human beings! Why is it that we live like animals, and our fate is so at the mercy of others? I'm not reconciled, I think people like me will not be reconciled, we have to fight for ourselves, we don't bow to fate. "Spartak made an angry speech that he was going to declare war on fate.

"We want to fight for freedom, I don't want to be a slave driven by others, we want to overthrow Pharaoh, we want to be free." The slaves began to stir.

The gladiators, instigated by Spartak, picked up the knives and iron forks in the kitchen, and in order to fight for freedom, Spartak secretly led 78 gladiators to kill the guards and fled to the mountains of Vesuvius, where Spartak was elected as the leader of the uprising.

And the peasants and fugitive slaves joined in.

"Commander-in-chief, we want to fight for freedom with you, we want to fight for freedom, we don't want to be slaves, we want to be liberated. Take us! ”

Spartak looked at the crowd that had come to join him, and remembered his pity for being a gladiator, and he had another idea, he wanted to give the conquered people a spiritual home to rely on, so he took them in. The rebel army soon grew to 10,000 men. The rebel army continued to attack, and its power grew stronger and stronger, and its influence became larger and larger.

The news of the slave revolt soon reached the ears of the Roman senators, who hurriedly sent Cydius with 3,000 men to suppress it. Mount Vesuvius is a mountain of broken teeth, the cliff of the mountain is steep, C. Dius blocked the mountain road, trying to trap the rebels on the mountain, Spartak ordered people to attract the enemy's attention in front, and at the same time ordered the main force to use wild vines to weave a rattan ladder, and at night down the vine ladder, around the enemy's back, to attack the sleeping Roman army, C. Dius fled. The rebel army gained fame and expanded its ranks.

"Commander, we have our own team, and our name is getting bigger and bigger, we should have our own real power and institutions." An insurrectionary officer said to Spartakus.

Spartak smiled and nodded, thinking about moving there. After much discussion, Spartak finally decided to move the team to northern Italy, where Rome was the weakest.

"Valinlius, you lead an army of 12,000 to intercept in three directions, and you must suppress the uprising." Valinous rushed to the battlefield with the orders of the Senate.

Spartak adopted various strategies to defeat two armies one after another. The two defeated armies converged with the Third Army to continue the counteroffensive, trapping the rebels in caves. The rebels were resting. After the repairs, the rebels lit bonfires, blew horns, confused the enemy, and then broke through the rough trails at night. After daybreak, the Roman army learned of the plan, and fell into an ambush like Spartak in pursuit, and the whole army was annihilated.

In 72 A.D., Spartak took control of the entire Campenia steppe, and Spartak decided to continue north, but he and his lieutenants had a disagreement, and Cricksu refused to go north, leading some of his men to stay in place. At this time, the Roman ruling group panicked, no one dared to elect an archon, the senate declared a state of emergency, and finally elected the great slave owner Crassus to lead the army and suppress the rebels.

"Brother, I have a few carts of gold jewelry and jade, as long as you like it, all of them are yours." Governor Cassius said, gesturing to the pirate's vehicle.

"That's such a good thing, who are you? Why did you give me so much possessions. The pirate asked, confused.

"Spartacus's army is assembled in the Brutia Peninsula of Italy, and it is expected to cross the Strait of Messina in your ship, and as long as you do not provide a ship, all the supplies in the car will be yours." Cassius said to the pirate.

The pirate who saw the revolt nodded with joy and agreed to the request of the governor of Cassius.

And one morning in the autumn of that year, the Roman army first dealt a fatal blow to the remaining Creksus, and the Creeksu was killed. Then they divided their forces to flank the Spartacist army, and the Romans were again defeated.

After the victory, Spartak marched on Sicily and advanced towards Sicily.

"Report to the commander-in-chief, our ship has not yet arrived, and it may be discredited." A soldier ran into Spartak's barracks.

Spartak spent his feet back and forth, pondering for a long time.

"Let's use the military raft to cross over, hurry up the system!" Spartak ordered.

While the raft was being made, a strong storm blew on the sea, and Spartak put up his plan, and at this time the Roman army arrived and cut off the retreat, and the rebels suffered heavy losses, and 2/3 of the soldiers were killed.

The battle continued, and in the end Spartak died a heroic death. He left immortal psalms for posterity......

As a modern person, I think a lot, everyone lives in a different environment, and everyone's situation is not exhaustive. I walked on the runway of life with the heart of an ordinary person, and I was deeply impressed by Spartacus's unyielding upward spirit.

Do the people of the future generations also think of a lot? Reading a book, reading a short story, every wonderful paragraph is a glow of wisdom.

Although Spartacus's uprising was defeated, his spirit of not bowing to fate left a deep shock. Walking in the life of modern people, are you still depressed about the injustice of fate? If so, should you also take up the weapon of resistance and compete with your own fate?

Be a man, and at the same time, you should never give up on your yearning and pursuit......

What kind of revelation did Spartacus give you!

The burden of life on people can sometimes be overwhelming, but we should have a positive and healthy attitude to face every tribulation.
