Chapter 117: Minghu Residence

"It's hard work, drink a cup of oolong tea to refresh yourself. Chen Shuozhen walked over with a pot of brewed oolong tea and handed it to Ji Qing.

Oolong tea, also known as green tea, semi-fermented tea and fully fermented tea, has many varieties and is a tea category with distinctive Chinese characteristics among several major tea categories in China. Oolong tea is a high-quality tea made after picking, withering, shaking, frying, rolling, and roasting. Oolong tea evolved from the Song Dynasty tribute tea dragon group and phoenix cake, and was created around 1725 (during the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty). After tasting, the teeth and cheeks are fragrant, and the aftertaste is sweet and fresh.

The pharmacological effects of oolong tea are prominently manifested in the decomposition of fat, weight loss and bodybuilding. In Japan, it is called "beauty tea" and "bodybuilding tea".

Oolong tea is a unique type of tea in China, mainly produced in northern Fujian, southern Fujian, Guangdong and Taiwan provinces.

Sichuan, Hunan and other provinces also have a small amount of production. In addition to being sold in Guangdong, Fujian and other provinces, oolong tea was also exported to Japan, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macao in later generations. The main production areas are Anxi County, Fujian Province and other places.

The predecessor of oolong tea, Beiyuan tea oolong tea, originated in Fujian and has a history of more than 1,000 years. The formation and development of oolong tea must first be traced back to Beiyuan tea. Beiyuan tea is the earliest tribute tea in Fujian, and it is also the most famous tea after the Song Dynasty. Beiyuan is the area around the Phoenix Mountain in Jian'ou, Fujian, and tea has been produced in the late Tang Dynasty.

According to the "Min Tongzhi", at the end of the Tang Dynasty, Jian'an Zhang Tinghui hired workers to open up the mountains in the Phoenix Mountain to plant tea, at the beginning of the research of paste tea, Song Taizong Taiping Xingguo two years (977 years) has produced the dragon and phoenix tea, Song Zhenzong (998 years) after the transformation of small group tea, it has become the famous dragon group phoenix cake.

At that time, Cai Xiang, who served as a Fujian transport official and supervised the production of tribute tea, especially praised Beiyuan tea, and he wrote in 1051 in the "Tea Record" that "the taste of tea is mainly sweet and smooth, but the taste of the continuous roasting of Beiyuan Phoenix Mountain is good." The important finished product of Beiyuan tea belongs to the dragon group phoenix cake, and its harvesting process is as Huangfu Ran sent Lu Yu's tea picking poem said: "Far up the cliff, the cloth leaves are warm in the spring breeze, and the basket is slanting in the daytime." "To pick a basket of fresh leaves, it takes a day, the leaves are shaken in the basket and accumulated, and only in the evening can they start steaming, and this backlog of raw materials inadvertently undergoes partial reddening, and the enzimatically oxidized parts of the buds and leaves turn purple or brown, which is essentially semi-fermented, which is the so-called oolong tea. Therefore, there is a certain scientific basis for saying that Beiyuan tea is the predecessor of oolong tea.

After Beiyuan tea, Wuyi mountain tea obtained the status of tribute tea in the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties and developed it. The oolong tea is a kind of tea made by Anxi people in imitation of the production method of Wuyi mountain tea and improved technology. Oolong tea was created around 1725 (during the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty), and Fujian's "Anxi County Chronicles" recorded: "Anxi people first invented the oolong tea practice in the third year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, and later introduced it to northern Fujian and Taiwan. ”

According to historical research, in 1862, there was a tea house in Fuzhou that operated oolong tea. In 1866, Taiwan oolong tea began to be sold to the outside world......

But when it comes to the best of oolong tea, it is produced in Anxi County, Fujian Province, one of the top ten famous teas in later generations, Tieguanyin.

Tieguanyin is the best in oolong tea, and its quality characteristics are: tea strips are curled, fat and round, heavy and even, the color is sand green, and the overall shape resembles a dragonfly head, spiral body, and frog legs. After brewing, the soup color is golden and bright like amber, with a natural and rich orchid fragrance, the taste is mellow and sweet, and the sweet aftertaste is long, commonly known as "rhyme". The fragrance of Tieguanyin tea is high and long-lasting, which can be described as "seven bubbles with residual fragrance".

The leaf shape is oval, the leaf margin teeth are sparse and blunt, the leaf surface is wavy and raised, with obvious rib shape, slightly to the back of the roll, the mesophyll is thick, the leaf color is dark green and smooth, the leaf base is slightly blunt, the leaf tip is slightly concave, slightly crooked to the left, slightly drooping, the young buds are purple-red, so it is called "red bud crooked tail peach", which is one of the characteristics of purebred tea.

Its main characteristics are: the soup is not very fragrant, its aroma is rich, the entrance is sweet, the color of the soup is relatively light, especially the first bubble, the second bubble tea is even more so, after the third bubble, the soup color is yellow-green, the soup entrance, stirring can feel its slightly acidic, the taste is special, and there is fragrance in the acid, and the fragrance contains acid. There is sweetness in the acid, sweetness with fragrance, and the fragrance of water flows for a long time.

There are three main characteristics of its tea quality: "Tang Nong" refers to the brewed tea soup is golden yellow, bright in color and luster and dark in color; "Yunming" refers to the unique "Guanyin rhyme" of Anxi Tieguanyin, which has a refreshing feeling in the mouth and throat after drinking; "Slightly fragrant" refers to the fact that the soup is fragrant but leisurely and not strong.

Although you can't get Tieguanyin, ordinary oolong tea can still be made, not to mention that the development of tea in this world is not very fast, and drinking tea and chatting is not a particularly popular entertainment, but in the teahouse in Wuchuan Town, this has become the norm.

Whether it is the children of nobles or the pawns of peddlers, they can pay a certain amount of entrance fee to enter the teahouse to listen to books and drink tea.

And there are as many as twenty-five teahouses like this in Wuchuan Town.

Each teahouse can sit up to 300 people, because this entertainment way of drinking tea and listening to books is very novel, and the atmosphere of drinking tea and chatting is also very comfortable, so the business in the major teahouses is very good.

The teahouse can even help sell breakfast at a nearby breakfast shop, and promote it for its own shop.

Of course, if you really don't have a seat, you can also buy a small bench in a nearby shop, find a corner to sit down and listen to a book, and eat some healthy breakfast such as fried dough sticks and steamed buns and tofu brains by the way.

But no matter how good the tea is, it is all for nothing when it comes to Ji Qing, and the reason is very simple, he has been talking on stage for so long, and he didn't drink a sip of water in the middle, and he was not polite when he saw that it was oolong tea, so he drank it dry in one gulp.

"Look at it, you see, you can drink such a good tea as white water in one gulp, it really doesn't look like a sven at all. Chen Shuozhen looked disgusted.

"To put it lightly, if you go to the stage to speak for an hour, I don't think you can stand here so calmly and say cool things. Ji Qing also shot back at her unceremoniously.

"Okay, I know you've worked hard, and in a while the Yangchun noodles will be ready, and you can eat as much as you want. Chen Shuo straightened out his slightly messy sideburns, and his tone softened a lot. 520

"To be honest, if I wasn't in a hurry to cultivate, I really wanted to stay here and make money......" Ji Qing drank three cups of oolong tea in a row before stopping.

As for the reason, it is because the name of the teahouse that Ji Qing took over is "Minghuju".

Minghuju is a quyi field in Jinan at the end of the Qing Dynasty, and the original site is located on the south bank of Daming Lake and the west of Quehua Bridge. According to legend, it was built by the pear blossom drum artist Guo Dani.

Ji Qing also read "The Travels of the Old Remnant" in his previous life, and was extremely impressed by the story of Wang Xiaoyu's storytelling.

At that time, when the teahouse was about to be named, Ji Qing looked at the names of the other twenty-four teahouses one by one, and finally decided on the name of this "Minghuju" as the name of this new teahouse.

Although there is no trace of the Minghu Residence in the Qing Dynasty, the wonderful description of Wang Xiaoyu's singing in "The Travels of the Old Remnant" has made the Minghu Residence famous.

However, in the later Jinan City, on the north side of the bell tower site of the Bell Tower Temple, the Xinming Lake Residence was built.

Since then, people can watch the performances of Shandong drums, fast books, cross talk and other music here, and enjoy the fun of tasting tea and listening to music.

In addition to Ji Qing's daily morning and evening lectures, the teahouse will also arrange some opera performances and rehearsals in the afternoon.

At present, the rehearsal repertoire includes "Suolin Bag", "Fishing for Golden Turtles", and "Shiro Visits His Mother".

"Suo Lin Bag" is based on a folk tale quoted from "Only 麈 (zhǔ) Tan" in Qing Jiaoxun's "Drama Story", this play tells the story of: Xue Xiangling, the daughter of a wealthy family in Dengzhou, was doted on by her mother since she was a child, and was married countless times, and there was another lock Lin bag, which contained rare treasures. The lock bag is embroidered with the unicorn "brocade bag" and "purse".

The story of "Fishing for the Golden Turtle" was first seen in Tang Ying's adaptation of "The Case of Double Nails" in "The Legend of Gu Baitang" in the late Qing Dynasty.

The play tells the story of: In the Song Dynasty, there was a widow Kang in Mengjin, Henan, who had two sons, the eldest son Zhang Xuan and the second son Zhang Yi. Zhang Xuan went to Beijing to take the test and never returned. Kang relied on his second son, Zhang Yi, to live by fishing in the Mengjin River.

The story of "Shilang Visiting Mother" is based on "The Romance of the Yang Family" and its folk tales, and the general plot is: Yang Jiye's fourth son Yang Yanhui was taken captive by Liao in the battle of Song and Liaojin Beach, changed his name to Mu Yi, and finally married Princess Tiejing.

The reason why he wanted to rehearse these plays was naturally because Ling Hao felt that there was too little entertainment in this world, so he decided to make a decision.

In fact, anyone who is willing to pay for admission can even go and observe the young men and women who are found in the rehearsal repertoire.

These people, without exception, are all slaves and children of common people, and the reason why they can learn to sing and rehearse scripts is naturally because they want to eat together, or they want to make their family better without being too difficult.

The "income" of working in a teahouse is still relatively high, because in the eyes of the wealthy, this is a representative place of "high-end atmosphere", so after listening to the story and watching the opera, it is natural that he will not be stingy to give a few more rewards.

Consumers don't worry about money, and the "employee treatment" at the bottom is naturally high.

Although the value and application area of these coins are different, the advantage is that the number is sufficient, and after asking someone to appraise it, there will still be a large amount of income into the pockets of these teahouse staff and opera actors.

What's more, people who work in teahouses will not be despised by others outside, because drinking tea and listening to operas in Wuchuan Town has formed a fashion, which is naturally beneficial to the harmony between the townspeople.

Even those who are living on a relatively poor basis can stand near the teahouse and listen to the actors singing in it, so everyone likes these actors who perform operas, and they also like to come here to gather and have a personal show.

In this way, the business of the teahouse can not be good.

If it weren't for Ji Qing's lack of money, he would really have stayed here to be a teahouse owner, telling a story every morning and evening, and a lot of money would fly into his pocket, and this kind of money would be too comfortable to make.
