Chapter Ninety-Four
"There is no Amitabha Buddha in the south, the sins of heaven are forgivable, and the sins of people cannot be lived, I hope you will do it yourself. Pen? Interesting? Pavilion wWw. biquge。 info" After the Bodhisattva Guanyin finished speaking, he set up auspicious clouds and left flutteringly.
"Hey, hey, hey," that year I felt anxious, why I was going to leave before I finished speaking, but I was in a hurry, and I woke up from the sleep, but I rubbed my sleepy eyes, and thought carefully about the scene in the dream, and felt that it was as real as it was, so I was sure that it was really Guanyin Bodhisattva who appeared to guide me through the maze, but now I feel embarrassed that year, this preaching is not a joke, at least you have to know it yourself, but when you heard the sound of chanting before, you couldn't help but feel sleepy, It can be said that in addition to reciting a sentence of Amitabha, nothing else is basically possible, and now how to preach the scriptures.
That year was really worthy of a stunner between heaven and earth, it was really smart and clever, but he thought about it for three days and three nights, and finally he thought of a way that he thought was very good, that is, the purpose of Buddhism is just to teach everyone not to do evil, to practice all good, and to purify oneself. If I could make up some stories based on this purpose, I would share them with everyone, so that everyone could understand and understand the teachings of Buddhism from these stories.
In a sense, the main content of Buddhist teachings can be divided into two major aspects, and I still understand a little bit this year: one is the theoretical aspect of cause and effect and practice, which is the practical aspect, religious aspect, and moral preaching aspect of Buddhist teachings.
Buddhism's concept of good and evil cause and effect and practice have something in common with all other religions and moral teachings, and they also have their own special features.
The second is about the truth of life and the universe, which is the theoretical, philosophical, and dialectical aspect of Buddhist teachings.
The Buddhist theory of the truth about life and the universe is the result of the practice of Buddhism, primarily Zen enlightenment.
Of course, in terms of specific content, it is impossible to separate these two aspects.
The basic teachings of Buddhism are: dependent origination, Dharma seals, the Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, the 12 causes and conditions, karma, the Three Realms and the Six Realms, the 37 Realms, Nirvana, and the self-contained Tantric teachings.
He decided to make up some simple and easy-to-understand stories based on the content of these teachings and preach them everywhere.
"Hehehe, I'll tell you a story, okay?" That year, I saw a few farmers sitting on the ridges of the fields, and I prepared to go over and tell them a story that I had just conceived and thought was to promote Buddhism.
"Go, go, don't you see that we are all busy and tired to death, who has the leisure to listen to what you have to say?" I didn't expect that this was just about to open, but the hot face was pasted on the cold ass, and I felt so bad that year, and I saw that everyone was really busy, so I left in disgrace.
"Old man, let me tell you a story, okay?" That year, I learned to be obedient this time, and found a few old people chatting in the shade of the tree.
"Okay, we don't have anything to do anyway, so you can talk about it." An old man was very polite, and took the initiative to give up the small bench under his buttocks and handed it to Nian.
That year, he was not polite, and when he sat upright, he began to preach: "A monk ran from the woods in a panic, and happened to meet two very good friends walking by the woods. They asked the monks, "Why are you so flustered?" “
The monk said, "It's terrible, I dug up a pile of gold in the woods. “
The two of them couldn't help but say in their hearts: "This is really a big fool, digging up gold, such a good thing he actually said is too terrible, it is really incomprehensible,"
Then they asked the monk, "Tell us where you dug it up." “
The monk said, "Aren't you afraid of such a powerful thing?" He will eat people. “
The two men said disapprovingly, "We're not afraid, just tell us where we can find it." “
The monk said, "It's under the tree in the westernmost part of the woods." “
The two friends immediately went to find the place, and sure enough, they found the gold.
One said to the other, "That monk is so stupid, that the gold that everyone longs for has become a cannibal in his eyes," and the other nodded yes.
They then discussed how to get the gold back. One of them said, "It's not safe to take it back during the day, it's better to take it back at night, I'll stay here and watch, you go get some food, we'll eat here, and then we'll take the gold back when it's dark." “
The other man did as he was told.
The man who remained thought to himself, "If only all this gold would be given to me, and when he comes, I will beat him to death with a stick, and all this gold will be mine." “
The man who went back to get the food also thought, "I'll go back and eat a full meal, and then poison his food, and if he dies, the gold will be all mine." “
When he returned to the woods with his food, another man beat him to death from behind with a stick, and said, "My dear friend, it was gold who forced me to do this."
Then he picked up the food that the man had brought him and ate it in large gulps. It didn't take long for him to feel so sick that his stomach burned like a fire that he knew he had been poisoned, and when he was dying, he said, "What the monk said is so right." “
This is really in line with the old saying: "People die for money, birds die for food, it is all caused by greed, and desire turns the closest friend into a mortal enemy." “
After the summary was completed, everyone was embarrassed, and they all felt that this story was very educational, and some people sighed, this monk is really smart, but I just don't know what this monk does, why is he so smart, that year I explained to everyone: "In fact, the monks mentioned here are those who are dedicated to practicing Buddhism to the Buddha."
The reason why people are smart is because they have already meditated and understood some objective truths in the world. “
Of course, some people asked Nian, what is this Buddhism? That year, I had to patiently and meticulously tell you the ins and outs of how the Buddha founded Buddhism, and everyone was embarrassed to hear it, and they were even more moved by the story of the Buddha. Of course, there is also the story of how Guanyin Bodhisattva attained enlightenment, and the story of his later manifestation, of course, for himself, that year was not mentioned.
Everyone listened to it with relish, and unanimously asked to live in the future, and when they have time, they can tell you more stories about this aspect, because there seems to be a profound philosophy in this story.
