"My Buddha is compassionate, all the people in the world must give him a glimmer of life, not to mention that the nature of that year was not bad, but a little unable to distinguish between right and wrong, good and evil, as long as we give correct guidance, he can naturally be used by me for the benefit of the public. I'll leave this matter to you. “

What good methods can be applied to make people believe in cause and effect, repent of their sins, stop all evil deeds, try their best to do good deeds, change their minds to Buddhahood, and gradually leave the cycle of birth and death. On the one hand, it can stop the karmic causes of hell. On the other hand, the beings of the underworld will soon be exalted by virtue of the merits done by their descendants. ”
After deliberation, the king of the Ten Palaces said to the Bodhisattva of the Earthly King: "If a person in the Yang world can be kind-hearted from an early age and continue to accumulate merits, after his death, he can go to heaven and enter the path of immortals; Those who have equal merit and sin will be exempted from suffering in the three lower realms at the end of their lives, and they will be reborn as humane, ending the old relationship of kindness and righteousness in their past lives. Those who have done little good deeds and many bad deeds are to be taken into the hells and subjected to suffering, and then, according to what they have done in their past lives, let them be reborn as rich and noble, or poor and lowly, or long-lived, or short-lived, or permanently ill, or disabled, so as to test their good and evil minds again, and those who increase good will be reborn in blessed places, and those who create evil and evil will be reborn in hell to suffer, or let them live in a very poor and miserable place, and then sink in hell for a long time after death. Those who are unfaithful, unfilial, suicidal, fond of killing, harming living beings, and not believing in cause and effect will be imprisoned in hell forever after death.
Some people make up heresies and fallacies, saying that when people die and their qi is dispersed, and they are ignorant and unconscious, where will they suffer? The people in the yang world don't know that although the body is empty and dead, the soul is always there, and all the sins done in life will be retributed after death. Anyone who spreads the wrong idea that there is no karma and misleads future generations will also go to hell for a long time and suffer. Although some people know the exhortations and admonitions of the sages and religions of the past generations, they think that they are vain and mediocre, and this is really a negative benevolence of heaven and earth.
Now, the King of the Earth has told the Bodhisattva with compassion and wisdom, and we have discussed and studied it in accordance with the scriptures that if anyone who has done bad things in the past in the Yang world, such as the strong, sick, old, decrepit, male, female, etc., can fast (eat vegetarian) and vow repentance on the day of the birth of the Buddha and the Ten Hall Yama Kings and other sages, and promise to correct and refrain from doing evil in the future, or if he tries his best to do one or two good deeds, he will be allowed to be spared from suffering when he dies and goes to the underworld.
Except for those who are disloyal to their ministers, unfilial to their sons, who commit suicide and die by conspiracy and trickery to frame good people, so that they are struck by lightning or killed by fire, fire, tiger, wolf, snake, and venom, they must be sent to each prison for examination, and their merits will be evaluated, and the number of calamities they should be relieved of all kinds of sufferings should be measured to redeem their good retribution.
In addition, it is also possible to collect the terms and regulations of the matters committed by people in the yang world to which hell they should be punished and what kind of punishment they should be punished in the underworld, and use simple and clear sentences to make the world know, and wait for virtuous people to spread to the whole world, so that everyone can know about it, so as to persuade the world. ”
King Jizo Bodhisattva said, "Yes! That's it, good, good! ”
So on the third day of the eighth month, he and the ten halls of Yama and all the gods presented the prepared recital to the Jade Emperor.
After seeing it, the Jade Emperor said, "Great, great! All the gods of the world from now on will see the world, and if anyone swears to be good, and repent of one sin in his lifetime, he will not transgress again, and he will be granted atonement for two sins; If you repent and do your best to do as many as five things, all the sins and punishments will be forgiven, and the male will be reborn in the land of merit, and the woman may be reborn as a man. If he has done more than five good deeds after correcting his mistakes, he is allowed to cultivate the blessings and yin virtues of the underworld for his ancestors in the yang world, so that he can use them to transcend the souls of his dependents and get rid of their afflictions. The rules and methods played should be compiled and recorded in the "Jade Calendar Treasure Notes" as soon as possible, and the city god of the nether realm, the god of the land, the god of the door, the god of the stove, and the gods of ghosts and spirits should know. From now on, this law must be observed, and all should be carried out with respect, seriousness, and reverence. ”

That year said: "I haven't committed much fault in the world, why should I be imprisoned in this nineteenth layer of hell for thousands of years, I naturally feel unconvinced." ”
The Guanyin Bodhisattva said to the year: "Whether you are at fault in the world or not, naturally it is not up to you to decide, there is no good person in front of the evil mirror, presumably you have done something to yourself, or have some memory, if you do not repent, I can do nothing, I have to let you go up in smoke." ”
As the saying goes, be obedient and listen to the sound, not to mention the natural intelligence and wit that year, how could you not hear the voice of the words of Guanyin Bodhisattva, that is to say, if you know repentance, there may be a good turnaround, so I put down my face and said: "Please also look at the friendship of colleagues in the past, and give more guidance and rescue." ”
The Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara recited the Buddha's name again and said, "As the saying goes, it is better to ask for heaven than to ask for people, and it is better to ask for people than to ask for others, so you must rely on you to save yourself." ”
