Chapter 10: Letters and Invitations
Yesterday was a memorable day, and today is too. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. biqUgE。 info
Castow became the first Hogwarts student to summon a sword from his hat in the Sorting House; And today, of course, is the first day of his official study.
The ceiling of the auditorium is a cloudy gray day. On the long tables of the four academies were bowls of porridge, plates of pickled herring, mountains of bread slices, and plates of eggs and bacon.
Harry and Ron cautiously sat down at Gryffindor's table, opposite Hermione and the listless Castor.
Hermione spread out Traveling on a Ship with a Vampire and rested it on a milk jug. She was a little stiff when she said "good morning", and Harry knew she was still resentful of the way they had come to school.
"Good morning." Castor had dark circles under his eyes and poked weakly at the slice of bread on his plate. At the same time, he noticed that even then there were people all around him.
"Why did you get up so early? Ron and I couldn't find you when we got up! Harry was visibly surprised.
"Maybe I was dizzy enough last night, and it's better not to sleep than to sleep." Castor was weak.
But Harry and Ron were a little glad they were worried. Casto doesn't look like he's found a good way to dispose of them yet.
At this time, there was a sudden commotion above their heads. Hundreds of owls swarmed in, circling the auditorium, dropping letters and parcels into the conversational crowd.
Casto looked up, and sure enough, he saw a familiar white shadow mixed in among the owls.
Fiona also seems to be clinging to something, which makes Casto a little strange.
She was clutching a big gray dick, even the gray thing was bigger than her. Fiona flapped her wings and landed slowly, throwing the owl over Ron's head with some difficulty, and then into Casto's arms.
The gray owl was as weak as Casto, but it cried in gratitude. A red envelope fell from its mouth and landed on the table.
"Errol!" Ron shouted, "How-"
"It's time for this owl of yours to retire," Casto petted Fiona's head, "and she seems to have met him as he flew around, and helped him out—you know, she'd been asking him for directions during the summer." ”
Ron noticed the red envelope on the table, looking like the end of the world was coming.
Casto then picked up a tissue, tore it into several strips, crumpled it into a small ball, and stuffed it into his ear.
Harry and Hermione looked at the two of them curiously.
"What are you doing?" Hermione asked curiously.
"It's a roaring letter," Casto replied, the corners of which were already smoking, "and you'll soon know what it means." Sorry, my hearing is a bit sensitive and I need to take some precautions. ”
He handed Hermione two more soft balls of paper, urging the curious Fiona to leave. However, she was a little tired, and she refused to move in Casto's arms, so he had to put down his hands and cover Fiona's ears instead.
Castor also raised an eyebrow at Ron.
Harry looked at Ron beside him with a puzzled expression. He gritted his teeth and tore open the letter like a righteous warrior.
It's like a novice disassembling a bomb. A loud bang filled the auditorium, shaking dust off the ceiling.
The plates and spoons on the table vibrated and rang out. Hermione's jug of milk knocked over in one fell swoop, splashing them all over.
.
“...... It's so infuriating, your dad will be censored at work, it's all your fault. If you don't follow the rules, we'll get you back right away!" ”
There was silence in the hall, and Fiona had been scared away.
Castor sighed.
Thankfully, they had joined the mod, and they had mentioned that the engine was not very safe - but they didn't understand the advanced theories, and they were too immersed in it to explain it - and Harry and Ron forgot about it because of the urgency, the need to take risks, and the precedent of success.
But Casto felt he should be grateful for the letter.
His protective measures weren't of much use, and he would have been dizzy. However, he was already a little dizzy - Castor felt that he was awake all of a sudden.
Harry and Ron looked guilty. Hermione seemed to think they had had enough, and didn't mention the mistakes of the two of them.
A few people in the hall smiled. Most of them twisted their heads back, and the voices began to sound again.
"I've figured it out," Castor said—much to the surprise of Harry and Ron, before they became apprehensive, "you can help me with my alchemy experiments." ”
"That's great." The two of them breathed a sigh of relief.
"Can I participate?" Hermione, on the other hand, looked curious, "I'm better - I mean, we've talked about something together." ”
Casto couldn't help but have a headache when he thought of those esoteric runes and boring words.
"Of course, you're better suited than anyone else." Casto replied, which made Hermione nod proudly.
Breakfast time was coming to an end, though, and Professor McGonagall was handing out the class schedule along the Gryffindor desk. The first session was a herbology class, which was attended with Hufflepuff students.
Ron still looked frustrated. But he was persuaded to pull himself together.
"Yes, I wasn't expelled from school," he muttered, "it's better than not coming to school." ”
Castor was still looking at the timetable while Hermione was holding a pen and writing and drawing on the timetable. Castor was stunned for a moment when he heard Ron's words.
"Someone doesn't come to school?" Castor asked Ron curiously.
"Huh?" Ron was visibly surprised, he thought his voice wasn't being heard, "Professor McGonagall mentioned last night that there was a new student who wasn't coming to Hogwarts this year - and that was a special case. ”
Ron gloated a little.
.
Casto immediately thought of who it was, but it wasn't for sure.
The first priority is to rush to the greenhouse to attend classes.
On the way, they met Professor Lockhart, who was full of spring breeze, and Professor Sprout, who was gloomy. But Gildero. As soon as Lockhart saw Castor and his party, he fled in a hurry.
This made Professor Sprout a little strange, but nodded to them with a smile.
The herbal medicine class went quite smoothly. No one wanted to get their hands on a pair of pink fluff earrings, but Castor was interested in wearing them. They worked in groups of four, and Casto transplanted the mandrake with as much skill as Professor Sprout demonstrated. This made her, who also wore pink earmuffs, add twenty points to Casto.
The other class in the morning was the Transfiguration class.
Castor was slightly ashamed. Because the professor of the Transfiguration class is their dean, he can only be used as a self-study class.
Professor McGonagall apparently knew he couldn't let his magic out. However, this made Harry and Ron, who were also in the know, very envious.
They thought the Transfiguration was too difficult, and they kept trying it in class but didn't succeed once. Professor McGonagall came over and tried some of Castor's theories of deformation, and then asked him to read his book.
Hermione, on the other hand, felt that she had one less opponent.
Castor, however, deeply understood the meaning of those words.
- "How do wizards add points, online, etc., urgent!" ”
- "Full life, stamina." Skills: One-handed Sword, Two-handed Sword, Block, Critical Hit, Charge, Whirlwind Dance, Decapitation, Armor Piercing. The spell is just a holy light. ”
- "Thank you. ”
Castor suddenly felt that this was simply a portrayal of himself. One of his most proficient spells is Fluorescent Flash, which he uses to defeat the Weasleys' rooster by surprise.
If he could use Gryffindor's sword as a weapon—he doubted that the joke he had told his teacher was a prophecy.
But after lunch, the unexpected happened. A girl came to Casto.
"Professor Lockhart is looking for you alone," she stared at Casto with some jealousy, while looking at him curiously, "in his office. ”
Hermione looked at him with some mixed eyes.
"All right," Casto yawned—he wanted to take a nap, "I'll go." I'm looking forward to it......."
