Chapter Four Vic's Secret

Seeing that everyone was almost resting, the young lady got down from the magic book and performed a sprint on the other three. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. biqUgE怂 Info finally arrived at the temple ruins in the evening.

The ruins in the sunset are particularly spectacular, some of the huge stone pillars still stand resolutely, and some of them fall to the ground crookedly without the ravages of time, but it is not difficult to see from the exquisite patterns that still exist on the temple. There was a clearing in front of the stone pillar, which seemed to be the place where the elves used to worship, and the traces of the magic array that had once penetrated deep into the ground could still be faintly discerned on the ground.

Vic plans to focus on the ruins to find the entrance to the cave discovered by the old Orion, but is stopped by the young lady.

"There's no need for that." She pointed to the stone door at the entrance of the temple and said, "You see, someone went in not long ago. ā€

Sure enough, as she said, the stone door that should have been closed opened a small crack, and it was really not easy to find it if you didn't look closely.

"There's something underneath this ruin, which is supposed to be one with the cave, but it was hidden before, and it wasn't revealed until recently."

The four of them dodged into the interior of the temple. Under the afterglow, the difference in brightness between the inside and outside made them unable to see anything for a moment. The young lady shot a huge ball of cold light into the sky, and the temple of Elta, which had been hidden by history, finally appeared in front of everyone. The shattered stained glass windows on the walls have long been sealed with dust and stones, no wonder the interior is so dark.

Thick ash was lifted up as they walked, and a series of petite footprints were faintly discernible on the ground in front of them, leading to the door behind the altar in the distance. It was a large, empty room, with nothing but a few carved load-bearing stone pillars and two staggered staircases at the end of the room. The staircase leads to the platform on the second floor, but I don't know if it was because of age or because of the shock caused by the fall from the heavenly realm, the platform had already collapsed.

The young lady walked slowly to the altar and stroked it lightly in the air, and the dust on it rolled and disappeared with the movement of her hand, revealing the fragmented magic patterns on the altar. Her fingers moved little by little along the magic array, and there was a slight nostalgia in her eyes. It didn't take long for her to raise her head and say to the men, "Go in, for all the answers are in this temple." ā€

Behind the door of the altar is a long corridor, and on the left and right sides stand lifelike statues holding weapons, as long as you look closely, you can see that the statues are extremely fine, and the subtle carvings on the armor are expressed. Most of them, though, are dilapidated. Some of the weapons in their hands have long since been broken; Some are covered with cracks that seem to collapse at the slightest touch; Some of their heads have fallen off, and these statues symbolizing the temple's past glory are no match for the passage of time.

At the end of the corridor was a circular hall, with twelve arch-shaped holes on the outside of the hall, each marked with the Roman numerals "I." and "XII.", and the hole they walked out of was marked with the word "VI.", that is, the number 6, like a huge clock. The ground was covered with intricate and ornate magic array carvings that stretched to their feet. This hall does not seem to have been affected by the years at all, there is not the slightest dust in it, and it is almost like two worlds from the temple entrance and corridor that I walked through before.

Nine elaborate statues of human figures are scattered near the circular dome, and the outer reliefs tell the story of the elves' past glory. In the center of the dome is a large golden sun totem, surrounded by twelve elves who seem to be in charge of the elven race. They sat upright and looked up at the sun in the middle, their expressions both serious and reverent.

The young lady let the ball of cold light fly high, and under the bright but soft light, the whole hall seemed to glow faintly. Vic took a few steps forward, carefully studying what the huge magic circle in front of him was for. Both Shotru and Guviyi are admiring the elaborate reliefs on the roof.

"This magic array is used by the Elf King to summon the True Ancestor." The young lady walked over to Vic and crouched down, touched the ground with her hand, then stood up and continued: "Every time the demon king and the god lord are about to fall asleep, the gods and demons will join forces to summon magic to awaken the true ancestor. ā€

"Hmm...... I've heard of this legend, but I didn't expect to see this magic circle here. ā€

"The Elf King, the Archangel, and the Judge Priest represent the Protoss, the Beast King, the Demon God, and the Demon Lord represent the Demon Race, and the Witch Ancestor, the Hero King, and the High Priest represent the Human Race. Each race involved in the summoning has this magic array, which is urged by the kings of these nine races at the same time to awaken the True Ancestor to take over the Three Realms. The Demon King and the Divine Lord will then fall into a deep sleep and will not wake up until the mana consumed is fully replenished. ā€

"Why do you know so much?"

"My uncle has an ancient book detailing history, and besides...... I am the True Ancestor himself......" Miss said in an emotionless tone something that scared Vic to the ground. He looked at the young lady with wide eyes, the corners of his mouth twitching slightly, as if he wanted to say something but was surprised that he couldn't say anything.

"I'm sorry to hide it from you for so long, but it's a secret that Count Victoria's niece is the true ancestor who manages the Three Realms." The young lady's nonchalant expression contrasted sharply with Vic's as he sat on the ground. He took a few deep breaths to calm his emotions, and the young lady standing in front of him did not speak, as if waiting for him to say something. Sure enough, Vic, who had recovered from the shock, respectfully knelt down on one knee in front of the young lady, lowered his head and said solemnly:

"Almighty True Ancestor, Almighty Lord, please save her...... I'll accept whatever it takes, but please save her. ā€

Xiutru, who was still observing the temple, was a little confused when he saw this sudden scene, and he turned his puzzled gaze to Guviyi, who smiled and shook his head, signaling him to continue listening.

"Sure enough, she's deep underground in this temple, right?"

"Yes......"

The young lady reached out and stroked the top of Vic's head, and a soft pale yellow light landed on him, and the excitement was instantly calmed down a lot. Vic looked up into Miss's eyes, "How did you find out?" ā€

The young lady looked at him with a smile, "I was a little surprised when you first said that you wanted to go with us to the temple ruins, but I didn't think much about it at the time, thinking that maybe you were just curious about the ice creatures in the cave. When I arrived in the forest, I found that you were different from ordinary high priests, and your sacrificial strength was much better than that of the Inu gods, and your familiarity with this forest was not like that of someone who had just been here for a long time. ā€

Vic remained on one knee and continued to listen to the young lady, "The prophet did not leave, but discovered the place with you. She's been living here ever since, until the odds get more and more out of control, and you don't think to ask the lord for help. ā€

Vic scratched his head a little embarrassed: "It turns out that you knew it from the beginning, it seems that my painstaking concealment has no effect at all...... But you must not understand the reason why I want to save her......" After speaking, he lowered his head, his expression was very painful, and there was unwillingness mixed with it.

"I understand...... I understand your grievances...... It's all right, I'll save you. Miss's eyes were full of tenderness, and at her words, Vic jerked her head up, tears watering her eyes. He held the hand that the young lady stretched out to him tightly, thanked him over and over again, and his body trembled.

Shutru, who was standing on the side, looked at the young lady and then at Guvie, his face at a loss. As if amused by his funny expression, Vic let go of the young lady's hand, stood up and wiped his tears back to his old self, turned to Shutru and said, "I'm sorry to let you see the joke." ā€

Just as he was about to explain to them what had happened, a sudden cold wind struck through the arch-shaped hollow in front of him, blowing Shutru to a staggering moment, but fortunately Guviyi held him in time and prevented him from being swept away by the wind.

Vic's face changed instantly: "It's getting stronger and stronger, it seems that time is running out." I'll lead the way, let's hurry over and explain to you later. He took the lead, but the wind mixed with many ice crystals grew bigger and bigger, making him walk very slowly. Seeing this, the young lady immediately held up the magic guide book with one hand, stretched out her five fingers together with the other hand, and made a forbidden gesture. The pages of the book slowly turned, and a burst of ice-blue light spread out rapidly around her, and the ice crystals melted wherever the circle went, and the wind died down in an instant.

The young lady stroked her long golden hair scattered with frost and said, "Let's go." ā€
