Chapter 4: The Way
4 Middle Way
Gillian followed behind me, her eyes not looking at the futon on the ground, nor at the red thing that was high above. Pen & Fun & Pavilion www.biquge.info her eyes stared at the scraped tribute on the table, her face turned from crimson to pale, and a layer of sweat beads on her forehead were instantly dense. "Is there anything strange about this tribute?" I asked, confused.
The rats were gone, and the two red candles were filled with tears of wax on the table. In the center, an unknown black piece of wood was ignited, emitting bursts of green smoke, and the smoke rose, and actually swirled in mid-air, converging towards the red object that was high above.
"See the smoking?" Gillian continued: "Then make black-hearted willow, which is made from willow trees that have been watered with human blood, and only the central core material that turns black is effective. The willow wood is extremely heavy, and the locust wood and camphor wood are called three **** trees. The black-hearted willow wood contains human blood, and the heart is black and has a congenital evil spirit, which is generally used as nourishment for ghosts and souls. ”
Gillian said this, and I felt as if there was a pair of eyes watching me behind me. A gust of wind blew down the crack in the door towards the back, and a layer of coldness instantly crept up the back. "You say this is a place to raise ghosts?"
Gillian nodded, then she took out her lighter and lit the two red candles on the table. The warm glow of the fire illuminates the room, while the surroundings leap into view.
Gillian and I looked up at the same time and looked at the red thing that was high above. It looked more than a meter tall and as thick as a bucket, and was wrapped in a layer of red silk on the outside, making it difficult to see what was inside. But neither Gillian nor I dared to let our guard down easily, because this was the source of the familiar and disgusting rancid smell when we came in through the door.
If it's really a ghost, then there's definitely a terrifying and difficult guy in this red cloth.
Things have come to this point, if I don't open it and take a look, I don't think Gillian will give up easily, and I won't leave so easily. There was a sudden sound of footsteps behind him, accompanied by the sound of wind, rain and thunder, which was particularly harsh in this space. Gillian glanced at me and walked under the offering table.
Before leaving, Gillian did not forget to blow out the two candles. All at once there was absolute darkness around me, and I could only see a black shadow coming in through the door through the insignificant light beneath my feet. The man pushed the door and creaked and creaked, very slowly, as if on guard for something.
The shadow suddenly shortened and disappeared, and it should have been sitting cross-legged on the futon. The outside became brighter, and the two red candles could be seen through the tattered tablecloth being lit again. This is a woman, and it is a woman in a bright red dress, and her face looks a little familiar, isn't it the one I met sitting next to the bald head in that restaurant before?
What is she doing here? This question suddenly popped up in my heart.
"Martha meets the god of the sea. Please also ask the sea god to help, at 12 o'clock tonight, I will die alone. The woman closed her eyes, said with a solemn and reverent expression on her face, and bowed to the ground. After three knocks and nine bows, she actually took out a knife and a brush, gently scratched the blood on her wrist, dipped the brush in the blood she wanted, and began to write and draw on the ground.
There was a palm-sized piece of white silk on the ground, and the red blood stains on it immediately bloomed like a plum blossom.
A few minutes later, she tore off half of the silk and made a simple bandage. Then he put the silk with the writing on it on the offering table, and pressed it down with the incense burner that burned with black willow wood. After bowing three times and bowing nine times again, he slowly got up and left.
As her shadow vanished, the entire space returned to darkness once more. The two grabbed and were blown out by her, and Gillian and I got out from under the offering table at the same time. Just as the two of us were about to go up to find out, a strange bell suddenly rang, and Gillian looked at me with a changed face.
I embarrassedly took out my phone and explained to her with an embarrassed smile: "Lao Yang called." ”
I picked up the phone, and it was a woman's voice. "Where have you been, come back quickly. Something happened to Lao Yang. Although the voice was indifferent, it seemed extremely anxious at the moment, it was a woman in Mai.
I didn't bother to explain to Gillian, so I just pulled her and walked out. No matter what it is here, at least it is not as important as Lao Yang at this moment. Walking out of the door, the sky above the head is still extremely dark, a purple thunder dragon shuttles through the clouds, fortunately the rain has stopped at this time, but the surrounding bamboo forest from time to time raindrops fall like a storm.
It took more than half an hour to finally return to the hotel halfway up the mountain. By this time, there was no one to eat in the spacious living room, and the thunderstorm had made it dark and empty.
The woman in Mai had been waiting upstairs for a long time, and when she saw us coming, she immediately waved her hand to let us go upstairs. Gillian and I rushed to the house where Lao Yang was, only to see Lao Yang lying on the bed with a pale face, his whole body twitching, and he was already sweating profusely.
My cousin walked back and forth beside his bed, making a low noise in his mouth and barking twice out the window. There was a pool of jet-black blood on the ground, and it smelled of fish. Gillian and I couldn't figure it out when we saw this scene, could it be food poisoning? That's going to be the hospital as soon as possible.
"What's going on?" I asked the Mai woman.
"I don't know. As soon as I returned to the room and lay down, I heard a scream from here, and when I came to see Lao Yang, my whole body convulsed. Then he pricked himself with a few stitches, and a mouthful of black blood spat out. I could still speak before, saying that I was in the middle of the way, but I couldn't even speak after the needle was pricked. That's why I'm in a hurry to get you back and have a look. Now it seems that you can't solve it either. I can only find a nearby village herbalist to try. ”
This woman is cold and arrogant to everyone, but Lao Yang has an accident, and an anxious look appeared on her face.
"Hit the road?" Gillian went up, and put three fingers on the three veins of Lao Yang's right hand.
Suddenly, her face suddenly became very terrifying. The big cool and beautiful eyes stared at Lao Yang's throat, and I followed her gaze, only to see that something on the Adam's apple was actually rolling back and forth, as if locking his valve.
"It's true. But it's not like we're walking dead, and it's not clear what it is. But I don't think it has anything to do with the group of people I met in the living room today. It's not a way to drag it down like this, and the only breakthrough can only be placed in the broken temple that we stumbled into by mistake today. ”
My mind suddenly brightened, and the strange woman in red appeared in my mind. "I'll go to the ruined temple and smash its temple directly to see what's strange about it."
