Postscript to the end of this book

Finally relaxed.

This way has been counted only a handful from the meteor July fire, the winter snow falls, the spring flowers bloom, it has been more than half a year, intermittently, with a heart carefully coded words. I am very grateful to my followers for their support and encouragement, their love and praise for me, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support.

I've always wanted to write about this kind of subject matter because of a long time ago.

Occasionally, I saw a book in the library of "The Tragedy of the Factory Cellar", which described in detail the crimes left in the factory cellar when the Japanese devils invaded Nanxian County in 1943, and my heart was deeply shaken, tears, hatred, and blood were intertwined in my heart, and I was indignant and remembered.

Changjiao Town, Nanxian County, Hunan Province, is located on the northwest shore of Dongting Lake, facing water on three sides, like a peninsula. The town is a key waterway in the northwest of Dongting Lake, and it has always been a battleground for soldiers.

In 1943, in order to open up the Yangtze River route from Yichang to Wuhan, seize China's granary, and force the Chinese government to surrender, the Japanese army launched the "Jiangnan Annihilation War" from May 5 to June 10. The "Jiangnan Annihilation War" was divided into three phases, mainly to annihilate the 73rd Army and the 44th Army of the Kuomintang troops.

After the Japanese army launched the "Jiangnan Annihilation War", it divided its forces into multiple forces from Hubei to invade Hunan, from the vicinity of Lotus Pond, Shishou, Huarong, Yueyang and other places, to Anxiang and Nanxian by land and water. At the same time, with the bombing of the aircraft in the sky, a circle was finally formed in the factory cellar. At that time, more than 10,000 people of the main force of the Kuomintang 73rd Army stationed in Huarong, Nanxian and Anxiang were ordered to retreat and prepare to cross Changde to the west in order to get rid of the encirclement and interception of the Japanese army.

Forced into this peninsula, there are more than 20,000 refugees from Hunan and Hubei provinces, including some public servants, school teachers and students, plus more than 20,000 local residents, and more than 50,000 soldiers and civilians surrounded by the entire factory cellar. For a time, there was no distinction between the military and the civilian, the refugees were like a tide, chickens and dogs were scurrying, and there was chaos.

During the three days from May 9 to 12, the inhumane Japanese army brutally killed more than 30,000 Chinese soldiers and civilians, injured more than 3,000 people, raped more than 2,000 women, burned down more than 3,000 houses, and sank or burned more than 2,500 ships, shocking China and the rest of the world!

Heizhouzi, now known as the "Blood Reservoir", was in the western part of the factory cellar, where five or six thousand refugees fled at that time. On May 10, 1943, Japanese planes dropped bombs and strafed the area, and infantry and cavalry rushed back and forth, killing more than 3,000 of our compatriots, and the blood stained the river red.

On the afternoon of May 10, 1943, the people of Valentine were pursued by the Japanese army, and more than 60 refugees took refuge in the Yangfengshan house. The Japanese drove more than 20 of the women into a private house, burned them to the ground, and tied up more than 30 men and children one by one into strings, carried them with bayonets, drove them into a nearby pond, and drowned them.

A total of 129 people from 27 households in Xiaojia Village on the side of Warian Embankment were all killed by the Japanese invaders! Nowadays, people call this section of the embankment "the embankment".

The 2,000 boats that were blocked in the more than 20 miles of the factory cellar were almost all burned down, the boats were destroyed, and the river was full of corpses. At that time, the factory cellar was in the flood season, and the Japanese army dug dozens of embankments, and a large area of verdant grass seedlings was flooded! The bestiality of the Japanese invaders is outrageous, and it is difficult to write about it!

There are countless porters who have been captured by the devils, some of them are missing, some of them went to Taiwan with the devils to fight in the east and west, or they died in the war, or they died on the way, and there is no specific number of how many they are.

There was once a folk song left in the cellar area:

Dian'an River, Dian'an River,

The Japanese army came and suffered a catastrophe.

Tens of thousands of compatriots were killed,

The corpses were crowded one after another.

Five miles of rivers into a sea of blood,

Wild dogs can be passed without bridges.

After that, I went to the factory cellar countless times, saw the memorial hall, saw some ruins, listened to the memories of some old people, and watched the movie "Factory Cellar Tragedy", and the mood was even more difficult to calm down.

So, I began to pay attention, searched the Internet, asked for information from local libraries, and slowly had the urge to write about the anti-Japanese resistance in the factory cellars. And this impulse has become even more intense especially in recent years.

The manuscript of more than 100,000 words was accidentally lost, and I was not discouraged, and continued, and the manuscript of more than 200,000 words did not know where to lose it when I was on a business trip. Thanks to the encouragement of my friends, I rekindled my wishes.

Until the holiday of 2015, I was confined to the house again and night and day, often until dawn the next day, often on the road, in the car, and even during dinner, recalling the fragments I had written before, meditating, conceiving the plot, and locking the characters.

It's a lot of fun. Especially when I was lagging behind in 17K, I often felt a sense of pride. Watching the reading volume increase and the flowers blooming, I can't help but feel complacent.

It was already 3.12 million words, but I didn't want to accidentally have more than 600,000 words under the encouragement of the editor, and I was happy and apprehensive.

I am happy to see the results, but I am worried that I don't know if I can be recognized by readers and whether I can stand up to scrutiny. Later, I saw my reprint on other networks, I was happy and worried, I was happy that I was invisibly promoted, or some readers read it, and the worry was that these readers saw that it was not my genuine version, and I don't know if they also changed it? It's for worry.

Thank! Thank! Thank you again to everyone who has been involved with my work, and to those who have always been with me.
