Li Yifu said: "Wudang Mountain, as the family temple of the Ming royal family, in the Ming Dynasty, often follow the emperor's will, set up altars in the major palaces to build Jiao, and worship the gods, in order to seek smooth wind and rain, and ensure the eternal stability of the Ming royal family. Every year on March 3 and September 9, large-scale Dharma activities will be held in the Zixiao Palace. The four of them entered the Dragon and Tiger Hall from the blessed land hall engraved with the plaque of "Zixiao Blessed Land", and saw the statue of the green dragon and the white tiger enshrined in the hall, each tall and tall, dressed in armor, holding a halberd, with angry eyes and solemn eyes. The statue of the green dragon and the white tiger is the guardian god of Taoism, and it is the god of guarding the door in Wudang Mountain.

From the courtyard to ascend the layers of Danqi ornamental railing, it is the site of the Yuanjun Palace, that is, the Great Sage Nanyan Palace. The Taoist method of consecrating the statue of the god must be carried out by the mage with high merit, choosing a good day and auspicious day to open the light and point the eyes, and the ceremony includes: purifying, inviting the gods, issuing decrees, issuing orders, seven stars, gossip, entering the gods, edicts, mirrors, chickens, opening the light, hair and other twelve kinds of procedures and ceremonies are considered to be completed; In order to make the invited gods gather the statues, so that with the help of his spirit, the worshippers can improve their luck, and they can be handy in seeking wealth and affairs, and only after the consecration can they be installed in their homes or temples for people to worship and bless peace. Unlike other religions, Taoist idols have initiation ceremonies, the purpose of which is to have a deity resident.

To open the consecration, you need to choose an auspicious day and ask a teacher with high merit to preside over the ceremony. At the beginning of the ceremony, the Taoists gathered in the hall that was ready to be opened, the Sanqing Hall; The Taoist who presided over the consecration wore green embroidered robes, and the rest of the Dao Kun Daoists wore bright yellow robes, and the heads of the gods in the temple were covered with red cloths, and there was only a red thread between the statues and the statues, and they were all the way to the outside of the temple gate, and there were two flagpoles outside the temple gate, and the red threads had to be wound between the flagpoles, and then the two heads were connected together, so that the red thread was connected into a whole. There is a chair placed in the middle of the two flagpoles outside the temple gate, and a Taoist holds a mirror close to the red thread, facing the temple door, and there are two people standing at the temple gate, each holding a mirror in their hands, one of them is responsible for receiving the light from the mirror outside the temple gate, and the other is responsible for projecting the refracted light onto each god. According to Taoist Li Yifu's explanation, the so-called enlightenment is to bring the spiritual light of the three gods of nature, the sun, the moon and the stars into the temple, so that the gods and goddesses enshrined in the temple can inherit the aura of heaven and earth and create the well-being of all people.

After the consecration, the Taoists will prepare a towel in advance to wipe off the dust on the body of the idols, each idol only uses one, and then, with a needle on the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands, feet of each idol to point it, which means that the spirit is enlightened, and use a brush to point at the eyes, ears, nose and other places of each idol, in order to send aura. Then he took off the red cloth that covered the idols and folded them, and untied the red threads that connected them to the idols. These illuminated objects are endowed with a divine aura, and possession of any of them brings peace to the owner. Therefore, the altar table in the temple is filled with various small statues of deities, small amulets and so on, which are prepared to be used for blessings to pilgrims and believers in the future. The most interesting thing is that when the Taoist chief opened the hole to the statue, he had to ask every time he opened it: Have you opened your eyes? Everyone replied in unison: It's on! Is your hand open? Everyone replied in unison: It's on! And so on until all the tricks are opened. At this time, the Taoist chief struck the token and said, "Three thousand six hundred bone joints have been opened, and eighty-four thousand hair knots have been opened. After the consecration, God should not be. The crowd replied: "The Dharma people thank God for his grace, and ten thousand rays of light send to the sky." The Taoist chief asked: "After the consecration, God should not do, let me ask if the world is bright?" The people replied, "The world is bright, and the light of the gods shines brightly." "It's really a divine glow. The fairy sound is lingering!

After these procedures are completed, the Taoist chief will hold a morning wat in his hand, silently recite the mantra in his mouth, and step on the gang step on the gang list while reciting it, and the bells, drums, cymbals and cymbals next to him will sound in unison.

Taoism believes that there is a certain limit to a person's cultivation, and although practicing and chanting sutras every day can only create a blessed field for oneself, and cannot obtain the true meaning of Taoism. Only by visiting the statue of the god that has opened the light, can the statue with its true spirit make you open your soul and realize the mystery of the Xuanmen, so as to reach the unsurpassed realm of "goodness is like water". The role of visiting the palace and worshipping the gods lies in this.

Starting from seven o'clock in the evening, Yue Haohan followed the example of other believers, and on the prayer bench next to the hall, he reverently watched the entire ritual be completed. After the ceremony, Li Yifu took the two jade pendants wrapped in yellow table paper from the altar table in the hall and gave them to Yue Haohan.

The two walked out of the main hall, and Li Yifu instructed Yue Haohan, saying: "Haohan, these two pendants, after the consecration, Ziyan and Ziying put them on; Able to ward off evil spirits; It can also block three unexpected disasters. You have to keep in mind that after avoiding the three calamities, don't wear it again, you must bring it over, and add aura from the new. ”
