Chapter 56: The Circus! Circus! Circus! (Above)
The interior of the main building of Moscow State University is far less attractive than it looks from the outside, and the classrooms are mostly similar to those of domestic universities, except for the Russian female students who come and go, and the red star at the top of the central tower is what interests me.
Andrei said that the red star at the top contains a hut and an observation deck, and that it is better to look down from the observation deck than from the top of Sparrow Mountain.
I wanted to go up and take some pictures, but before I could make the request, Andrei smiled and said that the observatory would not be allowed to enter, for fear that students or teachers would fall from it.
The main building of Moscow is very large, the central tower plus the four wings around it, there are thousands of rooms, probably after a while, while listening to Andrei talk about some of the history of Moscow University, and telling some interesting stories about Catherine's school days, the time dragged on until noon, Andrei took the three of us to the canteen of Moscow University.
There aren't many people in the cafeteria, and the food sold is all bread, beetroot soup and the like.
After eating, Yekaterina decided to leave school and go to the circus. After leaving school, Catherine took me and Xiao Yayun directly to the location of the Nikulin Circus, which is located on Garden Street, in the center of the city, some distance from Moscow State University, and very close to Red Square.
There are two famous circuses in Moscow. One is the Old Circus, which is the Circus Nikulin. The venue is relatively small, known locally as the Old Circus or Garden Street Circus, which was built on Garden Street in 1880 and is one of the first circuses in Russia.
The other new circus is the Moscow State Circus, which is much higher than the old circus and is located next to Moscow State University, which can be seen from the subway station.
Most of my impressions of circus come from film and television dramas - pulled by mobile trains, where the train goes, tents are set up, elephants, lions, bears, tigers, all kinds of fierce and large animals, with beautiful or handsome exotic animal trainers, perform terrifying and exciting, fresh and amazing scenes on the field. Everywhere I went, I found an open space in the area and erected one yurt after another.
The Nikulin Circus on Garden Street apparently shattered my impression that the circus was either a tent or a theater-like building. Above the gate hang two small white horses with their front legs raised high, and there are some circus props and sculptures in front of the door, which look interesting.
The circus had not yet begun, and I took advantage of the time to take a few pictures of the sculptures, the most striking of which was the sculpture of the clown, according to Catherine, who was Nikulin, a master of comedy in the Soviet Union, after whom the Nikulin circus was named.
When I came to Russia, Turin once said to me, no matter how indiscriminate, no matter how bad it is, you must follow the crowd, you must do two things in one place in Russia, otherwise you will go to Russia for nothing. You must go to Red Square, you must go to the ballet, you must go to the circus.
Now that two of the three goals have been accomplished, I think it is worth it. As for ballet, which is an elegant art form, I think I went to see the long legs and the Russian girl
A clown stepped out of the circus, waved at the people waiting at the door, and bent down to make a gesture of inviting in.
Many people were amused by the clown's action, took out their tickets and consciously lined up at the door to wait for the ticket check.
There are many citizens who go to the circus to watch the circus, and it can be said that there is an endless stream. Many of them are grandparents or parents who bring their children to watch the circus together, and there are also families who go out together.
Walking into the circus is first of all a lounge, which is very lively, with a counter selling all kinds of animal toys, colorful balloons, ice cream, and small animals, today showing a chimpanzee wearing a suit with a pink bow and a baby tiger that is estimated to be unweaned.
The chimpanzee stands on the stage, and the tiger cub lies next to the chimpanzee. Behind him is an animal trainer holding a chimpanzee.
A few bold children took photos with chimpanzees and tiger cubs with the encouragement of their parents, and Xiao Yayun stood aside and watched this scene with a look of eagerness.
I smiled and said, "If you want to take a group photo, go up and I'll take a picture of you." The little tiger is estimated not to have been weaned yet, so it won't hurt anyone. ”
Xiao Yayun glanced at me, turned around and walked to the front of the stage with a smile.
The animal trainer smiled kindly at Xiao Yayun, and let the chimpanzee walk up to Xiao Yayun and put his hand on Xiao Yayun's shoulder, like a little gentleman with a wrinkled face, looking very happy.
I found a good angle and smiled and said, "I'm ready to shoot, one, two, three, eggplant!" “
As soon as the eggplant word landed, before I could press the shutter, the chimpanzee suddenly stepped on the tail of the little tiger on the side, and the little tiger suddenly jumped up and jumped forward, just falling into Xiao Yayun's arms, and the four paws grabbed Xiao Yayun's clothes with a baby's scared expression.
Xiao Yayun was taken aback, and her face was full of panic.
The animal trainer hurriedly took the little tiger off Xiao Yayun's body and apologized to Xiao Yayun continuously. I walked over and said, "Are you alright?" ”
Xiao Yayun shook her head, "It's okay, it's just that my clothes have been scratched a few times." ”
Saying that, Xiao Yayun showed me the opening on her T-shirt, there are two openings in total, which is not big, but you can vaguely see the scene inside through the opening.
Well, snow-white skin
Xiao Yayun blushed and slapped my head hard, "What are you looking at?" ”
I took out the shirt from my bag and handed it to Xiao Yayun, "It's a shame that I came out in the morning and brought a shirt for fear that the weather would turn cold, you can cover this first." ”
The animal trainer on the side was still apologizing, and the chimpanzee first made an expression that I didn't do, and then the animal trainer was shocked, and he immediately lowered his head and looked dejected.
There was laughter in the lounge, and the tense atmosphere was swept away.
Xiao Yayun was also amused by this scene, shook her head with a smile and said it was okay, and reached out to touch the chimpanzee's head.
Passing through the foyer is the circular stage with three levels of seating, and the curtain on the circular stage resembles a huge barrel, and the curtain is beautifully painted with birds and beasts of prey circus actors. The second platform behind the stage is where the dancers perform, the third platform is the orchestra pit, and the background is a large screen with flashing neon lights.
The welcoming band is playing. Our position is right opposite the band, leaning on the railing to listen to the band, the conductor on the opposite side probably saw me and Xiao Yayun two oriental faces, after a song played, picked up the baton in his hand, smiled at me and Xiao Yayun very friendly greetings, this kind of friendly and elegant people are very happy and comfortable.
The time for the show began, and after a host came on stage to remind the circus that photography is not allowed, please keep quiet, more than a dozen parrots flapped their wings from outside the venue and suddenly flew into the venue, landing on the host's head, shoulders and arms.
The image of the host suddenly looks like a guy with colorful feathers, and he looks full of joy. The host looked helpless, the microphone came to his mouth and was just about to speak, when a parrot suddenly came to the front of the microphone and shouted in English
"Welcome to the Nikulin Circus, everyone!"
The host's body shook, all the parrots on his body rose to the sky, and the host smiled and said loudly: "Next, let's welcome our parrot trainer!" ”
More than a dozen parrots in the sky began to scream at the same time, and the sound was heard throughout the audience. But in Russian. Ekaterina turned her head and smiled and translated: "They are shouting welcome. ”
The audience instantly erupted in a burst of enthusiastic cheers and applause, and many children jumped up and down excitedly, their faces red with excitement.
The atmosphere in the venue arrived at the beginning of the circus**!
