Chess Basics III - The Eight-Sided Horse
Among the seven types of chess pieces, the horse is second only to the rook in terms of attack.
Horse ideally,
It's between 3 and 7.
Anywhere within 3 and 8 lines,
There is no case of being held feet
8 positions can be controlled.
Although the horse is a short weapon, once it gets close to the opponent's nine palaces,
The 8 attack points are very powerful.
And the horse is the "day" of walking, and the sword is on the sidelines, and it is impossible to prevent it.
Theoretically, the car can be caught at most, up and down, left and right four directions of four subs,
However, the horse can step on up to 8 pieces, so in special times, the role of the horse is stronger than that of the car.
Because the days are not in a straight line, if you go forward, there will be two days on the left or on the right.
In the same way, there are two days to go before and after.
Here divide the 8 positions where the horse can go into two parts,
Part 1:
One is to the left, and the other is to the right.
One goes up to the left, one goes up to the right,
These four positions, relative to the initial position of the horse, all go forward, and are called -- advances.
If the horse is on the 3rd road,
If you go to the left, you will go to the 4th road, which is called horse 3 into 4,
If you go to the right, you will go to 2 roads, which is called horse 3 into 2,
If you go up to the left, you will go to the 5th road, which is called horse 3 into 5,
If you go up to the right, you will come to the 1 road, which is called horse 3 into 1,
Part II:
One is the horse going backwards to the left, and the other is the horse going backwards to the right.
One is the horse going down to the left, and the other is the horse going down to the right.
These four positions are all backwards relative to the initial position of the horse, which is called - retreat
If the horse is still on the 3rd road,
If you go back to the left, you will retreat to the 4 road, which is called horse 3 back 4,
If you go back to the right, you will retreat to 2 roads, which is called horse 3 back 2,
If you go down to the left, you will retreat to 5 roads, which is called horse 3 back 5,
If I go down to the right, I will retreat to 1 road, which is called horse 3 back 1.
The above is how to move the horse and what it is called.
The Qing people valued horses, which means that the people of the Qing Dynasty valued horses more, and horses were also developed and used to an extreme in the Qing Dynasty.
Although the horse is very powerful, but afraid of pulling aside, it means going to the side, or two bottom lines,
Once you get close to the side, you are in danger of being squeezed to the side by the opponent's car and killed.
Unless you take care of it with the help of other sub-forces, but you are also restrained by one son of the opponent, it is not beautiful.
Personally, I think that horses are like a lot of talented but unconventional wizards.
Once they encounter all kinds of bars and bars, especially the four side roads, they are restricted everywhere and cannot play freely, and in the end they are sacrificed very miserably, or they are restrained and depressed.
