Chapter 466: The End of the Semester
At the year-end banquet, when Alan arrived at the auditorium, it was already full. The auditorium was decorated with blue and silver representing Ravenclaw to celebrate their re-winning of the House Cup. On the wall behind the guest of honour stands a huge banner depicting the Ravenclaw eagle.
When Dumbledore announced that Ravenclaw had won the House Championship again, the Ravenclaw Wizards toasted together in the envious gazes of the other House Wizards. For them, winning the Academy Cup is no longer something to celebrate, it's the norm. If you don't get the Academy Cup, it's a rare thing!
"It's the end of another year, it's very good, I must say, Ravenclaw did a great job," Dumbledore said, looking at everyone, "but at the same time, I must solemnly tell you one thing again - Voldemort is back." β
There was a whisper in the Great Hall, and it gradually fell silent, this was not the first time Dumbledore had announced the news, but everyone still stared at Dumbledore suspiciously.
Although Dumbledore is considered the greatest White Wizard of all time, the news he threw was so shocking that there was no reasonable reason or hard evidence, and almost no one except a few of his die-hard loyalists wanted to believe it.
"The Ministry of Magic doesn't want me to tell you this. Dumbledore continued, "Some of my classmates' parents may have been shocked by what I didβeither because they couldn't believe Voldemort had really returned, or because they thought I shouldn't have told you about it, given your young age. However, I believe that it is always better to tell the truth than to lie, and if we try to hide the news, we can be caught off guard and hurt even more. β
At this time, every face in the Great Hall was facing Dumbledore, and the expressions on each face were different, such as the pale Neville, the angry Harry, the expressionless Allen, and the proud expressions of the elite wizards who already belonged to the Harris family......
"The purpose of the Wizarding Tournament is to enhance and promote mutual understanding in the wizarding world. Given what's happening now β given Voldemort's resurrection β this connection is more important than ever. Dumbledore said again.
Dumbledore looked at Miss Maxime and Hagrid, at Karkaroff in the teacher's chair, at Flember Delacour and her Beauxbatons alumni, and at Victor Krum and Durmstrang at the Slytherin table.
Krum and Kara looked nervous, even frightened, as if they thought Dumbledore would say something harsh.
"Every guest in this hall," said Dumbledore, his gaze resting on Durmstrand's classmates, "will be welcomed at any time if they want to come back." I say it to all of you again - given Voldemort's resurrection, we will only be strong if we are united, and if we are divided, we will be vulnerable. Voldemort was clever at creating conflict and hostility. We can only fight it to the end if we show the same unbreakable friendship and trust. As long as we have the same goal and open our hearts, differences in habits and languages will not be an obstacle. β
After the year-end banquet, it means the end of the semester and the separation.
For Karkaroff, who was about to leave Hogwarts, leaving the protection of Dumbledore and the Harris family made him particularly nervous. Especially after he heard that Lenn Harris had been promoted and couldn't protect him back to Durmstrang.
Therefore, he wrote to Owen Harris several times, strongly urging him to send additional bodyguards to ensure his personal safety.
Outside Hogwarts Castle, under the stone steps of the foyer, Alan is seeing Fleur off. At the other end of the field behind her, Hagrid was helping Mademoiselle Maxime harness the two giant horses, and Beauxbatons' carriage was about to depart.
Seeing this, Harry and Ron hurried down the steps to say goodbye to Fleur.
"We'll be able to meet soon," Fleur shook her long hair and smiled at Harry, "I've got a job at the Ministry of Magic in England, and my English may be improving soon." β
"Your English is already great. Ron's somewhat pretentious voice sounded behind them.
"I owe it to Mrs. Morgan Le Fay Harris that I was able to get this job. Fleur nodded.
Ron's face turned red suddenly, and he looked like he had just swallowed an egg raw, but accidentally got stuck in his throat.
"Goodbye, Harry, Ron, it's been a pleasure to see you all this time. Fleur turned around with a smile, gave each of them a big hug and left.
Alan watched Fleur hurrying down the lawn towards Lady Maxime, her silver hair rippling like waves in the sun, and his mood involuntarily cheerful.
Krum had come to say goodbye to Hermione.
"Can I say a few words to you?" he asked Hermione.
"Oh, of course. Hermione replied, but her body didn't mean to move.
"Hermien, I hope to have a chance to see you in the future. Krum's voice was hoarse and dull.
Hermione looked at Alan who was already sitting in the carriage pulled by Thestrals not far away, and a smile spread across her face. Alan was looking nervously at her side, beckoning to her to come over.
Hermione, who was in a good mood, reached out to Krum.
Krum looked surprised and delighted, and quickly shook Hermione's hand.
Hermione smiled, "Good luck finding the right one for you." β
"Then Hermione, goodbye. Hearing this, Krum glanced at Hermione a little sadly.
Ron's footsteps moved slightly, and from Ron's expression, he seemed to be enduring some kind of painful inner conflict, and he jerked his head up, just in front of Krum's gaze.
The two men looked at each other awkwardly for a few seconds, and then suddenly woke up by a "hiss" next to them, and at the same time turned their heads away from each other.
Draco didn't know when he appeared behind them, Pansy was nervously helping him hold his chin with his hand, and kept muttering: "This is the consequence of going to Muggles for dental treatment, I heard that Muggle dentists are hairdressers, but you really shouldn't have eaten so much sugar when you come back from your teeth, didn't they tell you not to eat them for a few days? β
On their way back to King's Cross Station, the weather was completely different from when they came to Hogwarts last September. The sky was cloudless.
Ellen, Luna, and Hermione walked straight to the end of the train, which had been defaulted to by the young wizards as Alan's exclusive box. Interestingly, the carriages of the prefects and student council presidents were at the front of the train, and the little wizards passed by without any mental burden. On the contrary, the last end is the box that is defaulted to Allen, and no one will easily go over and disturb it.
"This summer, you try to make as much time as possible, and we have to conduct combat training. Voldemort is indeed back, and we have to strengthen our combat experience and strengthen. Alan opened a chocolate frog and laughed when he saw that the card was his portrait.
Hermione was stunned when she heard this, and Alan instantly understood her thoughts: "Professor Dumbledore wants to push Harry to the fore in order to fulfill his so-called prophecy, and we can just use the struggle between them to gain time to grow." Hermione, believe me, I will defeat Voldemort personally. Next year's conflict between the Ministry of Magic and Dumbledore may put you between Harry and me a little hard, and we'll need to be patient. If we were to go against Fudge now, we would be wasting the strength we had built up in the beginning that could have been used to deal with Voldemort and his Death Eaters in unnecessary places. β
Hermione nodded, and found a reason for herself not to ask more about it.
And Luna glanced at him lightly: "We will meet often." β
Alan straightened up, coughed and explained, "I copied the projection of Dumbledore and Voldemort fighting, and it's good learning material. Luna you should grow your wand as soon as possible so that you can suck souls and strengthen yourself, which requires a lot of practice, and what magical creatures you want as the object of the Animagus, and we can go and find it on our own while we have time during the summer vacation, and by the way, travel on vacation. β
