171 Peng Jiasheng (2)

Peng Jiasheng, born in Kokang in 1931, claims to be from Sichuan, China, and was the chairman of the government of the first special zone of Shan State in Myanmar. Peng Jiasheng was in troubled times, half a life of horses, and several ups and downs are very legendary.

This thin old man, who is over eighty years old, still has bright eyes and full of energy, and looks like he is about sixty years old.

According to Du Niang: In 1949, Peng Jiasheng participated in the advanced training class opened by Tusi Yang Zhencai, and taught them Zhang Wenhua, Zhao Guozhu and other GMD officers. Some of them graduated from the Whampoa Military Academy, and although they were defeated in the civil war, they were still very good at basic military training and tactical explanations, and they were very formal, and very strict.

Although in just a few months, the knowledge imparted to them is not necessarily very systematic and profound, but at least it has opened their eyes and minds, and stimulated the domineering in their hearts.

After that, Peng's voice rose and fell, until he was surrounded and suppressed by the government army, joined Myanmar**, recuperated at the border, and recruited troops.

In January 1968, after rigorous training and re-preparation, Peng Jiasheng's troops entered Kokang in the name of the Burmese People's Liberation Army. And in the subsequent battles, he repeatedly defeated the government army and the troops of Luo Xinghan and Yang Zhenye.

In March 1969, government forces abandoned Kokang and retreated to the Rolling Lane area. At this point, Peng Jiasheng occupied all the areas of Kokang except for Rolling Lane and Nanhu. Later, he frequently launched offensives against government forces.

In April of the same year, when Kokang was established as a county, Peng Jiasheng concurrently served as the county magistrate in the capacity of deputy commander of the Northeast Military Region of the Communist Party of Burma, and moved the government office to Yanglongzhai, which was close to the Chinese port.

** Inspired the kindness in the soul of Peng Jiasheng, in the early days of his occupation of Kokang, he implemented a policy of recuperation and recuperation, reduced taxes, and personally received the petitioning people. He is more protective of his subordinates and ordinary people. Therefore, during this period of social tranquility, the people lived and worked in peace and contentment, and even some tobacco farmers who were forced by Luo Xinghan to relocate to places such as Rolling Lane also quietly moved back to Kokang.

In November 1992, Peng Jiasheng had an internal conflict with Yang Maoliang over the struggle for military power, and the two sides met each other. In May of the following year, Peng Jiasheng was forced to withdraw from Kokang, and Yang Maoliang began to govern Kokang.

…………

Soon after, Peng Jiasheng, the leader of the Kokang Alliance, who had been overthrown by the Yang brothers in early 1993, and his son-in-law, Lin Mingxian, the commander of the Kokang Eastern Alliance, led two battalions of the Forest Department and the Wa State into the Yang Maoliang area.

At this time, Yang Maoliang was leading his troops to prepare to attack the jurisdiction of Bang Sarah, one of the leaders of the "rebels" in the "8.1" incident, in the area of the bath pond river outside the town of Wan. Yang Maoliang negotiated with the Burmese Lashio Military Region on the conditions for attacking Bangsala, and on the way back to Mujie, he received a letter and turned around and returned to the Lashio Military Region.

He asked the Burmese Government to hand over its armament depots and demand that the Burmese Army maintain security in the Kokang area and reallocate land to ensure its security, and the Burmese Government immediately agreed. The first battle command of the Northeast Burma Military Region was dispatched with 6 rapid battalions and 1 artillery battalion. Two battalions occupied the Menggu area, and the rest of the troops crossed the Salween River and stationed at the commanding heights of Lao Cai and Qingshui River, occupying the Kokang area.

On December 20, 1995, the "Kokang Provisional Government" was proclaimed, composed of representatives of the Burmese government, Peng Jiasheng and Kokang. The Myanmar government said it would withdraw its troops as soon as the situation stabilized. However, on the 42-kilometer stretch from Lao Cai to Qingshui River, almost all the commanding heights are controlled by the Burmese military, and there seems to be no intention of "withdrawing".

On August 8, 2009, during an anti-drug operation, the Burmese government army accidentally discovered that the Peng Jiasheng family was suspected of making arms privately, and after a 19-day military standoff, the two sides quickly intensified the conflict after the killing of 17 Burmese policemen, and the government army quickly sent troops to attack the Kokang allied forces led by Peng Jiasheng.

After the 88 Incident, the Allied forces were defeated, Peng Jiasheng left for other countries, and there were many rumors about him in the past five years, and there were rumors of death and surrender to the government. To get back to Kokang, Peng Jiasheng sought help, and in 2012 he found the headquarters of the Kachin Independent Armed Forces.

On November 19, 2014, when the Burmese army shelled the Kachin Military Academy, Peng Jiasheng and his son, the commander of the Kokang Allied Army, Peng Deren, commanded the armed forces and engaged the Burmese government forces, and he was constantly reported on the battlefield every day.

According to the latest news, the Kokang Allied Army has recovered part of the Kokang Mountains, and its power has increased greatly and its strength has expanded a lot. I heard that at least 1,000 people attended the oath-taking meeting for recruits held this year.

As for Peng Jiasheng, in general, he has three main contributions: opening up peace in northern Myanmar, anti-narcotics, and promoting Kokang economic development, which should not be underestimated.

Peng Jiasheng believes that the Kokang people are Chinese and Han Chinese, and the Burmese government is a great Burmese nationalist and does not implement a policy of ethnic equality. Most Kokang people do not have official identity cards, cannot travel to the capital, cannot move freely within Myanmar, cannot leave the country, and cannot buy air tickets.

He once said: In the 90s of the last century, the Burmese people were very polite to us Kokang people because they had their own armed forces and an autonomous government. Now, the Burmese oppress and exploit the Kokang people, and it turns out that only if you are strong enough can you win freedom and respect!

In this regard, Liu Yu very much agrees, concessions can never be exchanged for peace, and backwardness will be beaten, this is an eternal truth. It is inexplicable that my Chinese sons and daughters were actually bullied by the Burmese natives, and Peng Jiasheng must be asked to teach Lao Myanmar a lesson!

Brigade Commander Mo Sha led everyone forward, and the three old men on the opposite side also walked quickly, Deputy Commander Kun Mo, Chairman Enbanlaweng, and Chairman Peng Jiasheng, looked at Sao Nian with an enthusiastic face, and their smiles were like chrysanthemums.

"Mr. Liu, long time no see, on behalf of the Independence Army and the Kachin government, I would like to extend a warm welcome! Let me introduce you to this one, this is Enban. Chairman Raon..."

Deputy Commander Kun Mo pointed to one of them and politely introduced him to Liu Yu, and Sao Nian also replied politely:

"Thank you, General Su Lun, it's just a trivial matter, and I'm really scared that Chairman Enban came in person."

"Mr. Liu's words are serious, thanks to the love of Mr. Liu and Chairman Ning, I am really grateful to provide a huge amount of money and property to help our Kachin Independence Army! I don't thank you for my great kindness, and if I send him in the future, I won't shirk it. ”

"Hehehe~ Chairman Enban is too polite, we are like-minded, a little assistance is nothing, you don't need to take it to heart. By the way, this... It's Chairman Peng Jiasheng, right? The Chinese leader of Myanmar has long admired his name! ”

"Mr. Liu has won the award, the contemptible Peng Jiasheng, the commander-in-chief of the Kokang Alliance, his ancestral home is also Sichuan Province, we are still fellow villagers!" Peng Jiasheng was very polite, and smiled and pulled a relationship with Liu Yu, Chinese people seem to have this habit, and it is easy to do things if they have a relationship!
