postscript
Listening is a story I wrote about school violence. In order to write this story well, I also read some sources, learned some academic information about juvenile criminal psychology, and found more serious problems. To paraphrase psychologist Gorman Smith, adolescents who are aggressive at an early age, easily rejected by their peers, and grow up to be lifelong persistent offenders tend to grow up unsupervised, uneducated, and have poor family cohesion. I'm not saying that a child who meets these three conditions will necessarily commit juvenile delinquency. There are many children who grow up in such an environment, and in the end, they will look at the world with a kind heart. I'm referring to the study of these juvenile offenders and the discovery of the environment in which they grew up** and found these three characteristics.
One of the things that struck me when I looked through these materials was that some people became lifelong offenders, partly because their peers refused to accept them when they were young, and they lacked normal social skills; Part of the reason is that parents, classrooms, guardians have lost faith in them and have given them up. And the reason we abandon them is because of deep-seated prejudices. I have always believed that the spirit of no child is incorrigible, and what is incurable is us who give up in advance.
School violence is a terrible thing, but often the cause of this is inseparable from the influence of adults. A child's interests, dreams, and values are not only influenced by their peers, but also learn from the adults he has access to. I have always believed that a good teacher can change a child's life. I'm glad I've had some great teachers, one of whom is my English teacher. She was very fair and kind, gave me a lot of encouragement, and corrected me a lot of shortcomings. The teacher Li Jing met was shaped by me based on this teacher.
If every teacher and every adult gave encouragement and love to the children around them, I believe that many things could be prevented.
I would like to use this document to give my hope to those teachers who gave me hope when I was growing up
