Chapter 214. Collection of manuscripts
In this way, Lin Yi worked in the pawnshop sales department, ostensibly Uncle De's apprentice, but Uncle De didn't teach him anything; Secretly, he is Uncle Kang's apprentice, and Uncle Kang loves and teaches him more and more carefully. Pen % fun % Pavilion www.biquge.info
This situation persisted for a week, and Uncle De, who was not blind, saw that he was a little tired, especially Uncle Kang and Lin Yi "eyebrows" in front of him in public, which was too conspicuous.
Uncle De didn't say anything about it, but secretly he was waiting to grab the pigtails.
On this day, the weather was suddenly cold, and Uncle De and Uncle Kang were old, so they even put on their down jackets first. Lin Yi is still wearing a single shirt, which looks particularly neat. At noon, there were no customers, the two old men dozed off with their hands, and Lin Yi was about to open the gold and stone identification book introduced to him by Uncle Kang --- study the "Ancient and Modern Seal Identification Encyclopedia", when there was someone at the counter.
Often at this time, Lin Yi has to step forward to say hello first, and only after figuring out the situation will the two veterans swallow it slowly. But everyone was idle, and they woke up from sleep, so they all gathered in front of the counter.
The person who came to mortgage the items was a middle-aged man, his face was dark, blackened by oil smoke, and his face was honest and hard-working, Lin Yi felt familiar when he saw him.
The man hesitated and didn't know whether to take out the things and mortgage them, but when he saw Lin Yi staring at him, he looked at Lin Yi and felt familiar.
Immediately, Lin Yi recognized it, "Aren't you the big brother Yuan who grilled the skewers?" ”
The man also recognized Lin Yi, and opened his mouth to say: "Big brother, you can hurt me!" ”
Lin Yi didn't know why, so the big brother said, "Do you remember the last time you and your friends taught those two gangsters a lesson?" They are the ones who have hurt me! ”
It turned out that last time, Huang Jiaotou beat away two thugs who asked for "protection money", and he thought he had helped this big brother on kebabs. Who knew that after they left, the two thugs were carried over by a group of people, saying that the ribs were broken, and the big brother had to lose money for the skewers, 30,000 yuan, no negotiation. Big brother Kebab couldn't come up with so much money, so they smashed the stall.
For the next few days, they all came to the stall to make trouble, and the big brother called the police, and when the police came, they said that this was a "medical dispute", not a criminal matter, and they were not good at interfering.
The big brother of the kebab was hard, and the business couldn't be done, so he directly took the stall and went home, but the gang didn't let them go, and carried the two injured gangsters to the gate of his house and blocked them, set off firecrackers, and pulled banners, making the neighborhood uneasy.
There's no way, the big brother of the kebab can only pack up his belongings and prepare to run away, anyway, he is not from here, and it is only right to go back to his hometown to work hard. When he cleaned up his belongings, he found an old thing, the big brother of the skewer felt that it was very valuable, and he got it to the antique market, but people gave a very low price, he felt that those people were not authentic, or come here to mortgage it, after all, large companies, reputation and reputation are good.
After listening to Brother Yuan's words, Lin Yi couldn't help but blame himself, he only cared about his own happiness at the time, but he didn't expect to affect others, and he felt very sorry in his heart.
Seeing Lin Yi like this, the big brother of the kebab smiled and said: "Those things are over, don't worry, now let's help take a look at my baby!" As he spoke, he saw something from his arms, wrapped tightly in a towel, and I didn't know what kind of treasure it was.
I put something on the counter, opened the wrapped towel, and when I saw it, it was a book.
If it was another antique treasure, forget it, Lin Yi would directly call Uncle De and Uncle Kang to come over for identification, but when it came to books, then he couldn't help but be curious.
Curious, Lin Yi picked up the book and examined it carefully.
This is a thread-bound book, about 8 carat in size, blue brocade surface, handwritten with a brush title--- "Diamond Sutra".
There is also a payment below, Anyang Ye old hand-copied, Wushen year of the first month.
It turned out to be a manuscript, and I don't know who wrote it.
Lin Yi couldn't help but open the manuscript, but when he saw the beautiful regular script "Diamond Sutra", the scriptures immediately jumped on the paper.
……
When it comes to "manuscripts", they were not valued before, and many people collected manuscripts just because of the beautiful handwriting, but gradually, people found that collectors were rare works of art, secrets, and collectibles.
Why?
The handwriting is beautiful, especially the elegant brush words, a whole book, what is that not a work of art?
Copying unilaterally, martial arts stunts, and even alchemy and cultivation methods, isn't this a secret?
Centuries-old manuscripts, especially those of famous artists, are hard to come by, not collectibles.
In fact, as a player in the second-hand book industry, Lin Yi is no stranger to the collection of "manuscripts", to be precise, he is still very familiar.
Lin Yi's main criterion for buying manuscripts at first was good handwriting. As long as the words are good, no matter what the content is.
He first bought a one-inch-thick manuscript of the couplet, all written in dense small block letters, and each word was neatly written and beautiful. About one-fifth of the paper has been turned to the ground, which means that the book has been read by too many people, and all the paper in the place where you need to turn the book by hand has been turned over. This is the "most dedicated" book that Lin Yi has seen in his life. After buying it home, he found paste and paper, and little by little repaired all the damaged parts, which took several days. And in reality, it shouldn't be done, it should be left as it is. On the back of the book is written: "This is a book left by my grandfather, and we must treasure it." ”
Lin Yi was also fortunate to buy some medical manuscripts, which were very exquisite. However, on one occasion, he found a piece of calligraphy written on a fine white cloth, which was only one square foot. After the baptism of the times, Nabu has become quite vicissitudes. I can't say what color it is, but it's definitely exciting. This is a contract between three young men who became brothers in "Jinlan", starting with "Gu Youliu Guanzhang", and finally they voluntarily became brothers and pledged with their handprints. After reading it, I can't help but feel a lot of emotion.
……
At this moment, in the face of this hand-copied "Diamond Sutra", Lin Yi had a series of questions in his mind. Who copied this? Why copy? Why do you want to copy the Diamond Sutra?
It can be seen from here that Lin Yi's understanding of the manuscript is not very sufficient, the reason is very simple, since ancient times, the hand-copied "Diamond Sutra" has been the first choice of many emperors and generals, literati and ink writers!
Not to mention anything else, the history of Emperor Kangxi copied the "Diamond Sutra" twice in his life, once when he was fifteen years old when he learned to copy, once in the thirty-second year of Kangxi, when his grandmother Xiaozhuang Empress Dowager was seriously ill, in order to pray for the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang, express his filial piety, he carefully copied the "Diamond Sutra", and this "Diamond Sutra" shows Kangxi's profound calligraphy skills.
In addition, Emperor Yongzheng, Emperor Qianlong, and Emperor Jiaqing, etc., have copied the "Diamond Sutra" by hand, it can be said that from the hand-copied "Diamond Sutra", this is a necessary lesson for the Qing emperor to learn Buddhist scriptures, and it can also be regarded as a part of the royal education.
In addition to these Qing Dynasty emperors, Su Shi, a scholar of the Song Dynasty, who was a little farther away, also copied the "Diamond Sutra" by hand, and left ink treasures to be treasured to this day.
Looking back, why do many people like to copy the Diamond Sutra by hand? The reason is very simple, the Diamond Sutra is known as a Buddhist classic, with magical powers, and it is said that as long as you copy the Diamond Sutra carefully, you will imperceptibly come into contact with the profound Dharma, and thus be enlightened.
It is said that not long ago, a facsimile version of the "Diamond Sutra" was circulated, and a 19-year-old girl who had never been in contact with Buddhism before was fortunate enough to get this special opportunity, and she slept soundly the next morning, when she suddenly felt that someone was shaking her and shouting to her, "Get up, you are going to be late", she got up to see that no one called her, and then fell asleep again. After a while, I dreamed of a giant who shone as high as the sky, leaned over and said, "I am Manjushri!" Get up and go to work, or I'll fine you!" Frightened her, she quickly got up, washed up and took the bus to work, and was almost late, while many of the other sisters were punished for being late. The little girl was happy and surprised at the same time, and found the eldest sister who gave her the "Diamond Sutra" and asked, "Sister, who is Manjushri Bodhisattva?" All I know is that there is Guanyin, and it was Manjushri who woke me up this morning! "But it scared this eldest sister who had studied Buddhism for many years - well, I haven't dreamed of Manjushri for so many years, and such a little girl has this opportunity!
Although this story is exaggerated, it illustrates a problem, and many people are convinced that the hand-copied "Diamond Sutra" can be enlightened and transformed by Buddhism.
Because of this, if you can receive a handwritten copy of the Diamond Sutra with beautiful calligraphy and incorporating the Dharma in the manuscript collection, it is a great opportunity and blessing.
The manuscript of the Diamond Sutra is a golden book, and it is often auctioned by many buyers as soon as it appears at auction.
For example, in 2006, Yongzheng's handwritten book "King Sejong's Imperial Pen Vajra Prajnaparamita" was unveiled in the Beijing Poly auction market, and the final price exceeded 10 million yuan. In 2010, an old book was auctioned online for a hand-copied "Diamond Sutra" by Yan Youzhu, the younger brother of Yan Jingming in the 22nd year of the Republic of China, with a yellow silk face and blue signature, and seven grades in condition, starting at a reserve price of 100 yuan, and finally sold for 1540 yuan. In 2011, the manuscript "Diamond Sutra" by Cheng Shubiao, a celebrity in the Republic of China, started at a reserve price of 100 yuan and ended at 2,400 yuan.
In fact, as can be seen from the above prices, the collection of manuscripts is now at a low point, and many people still focus on the engraved copies and do not pay much attention to the manuscripts, so the auction prices of these manuscripts are not high.
However, Lin Yi believes that with the improvement of people's awareness of collecting, manuscripts will inevitably become a new type of collection, which will be exalted and hyped. After all, you can have many and many kinds of engraved copies, but the manuscripts are often all veritable "one-of-a-kind"!
According to the principle of "rare is expensive", these collections could have been veritable one-of-a-kind treasures. (To be continued.) )
