Chapter Eighty-Nine: Memories of the Past

Qin Xiao has been at her aunt's house for a few days, and she wanted to find out the family tree to see, but when she thought that after reading it, she would definitely not think about it, and her aunt would ask about it, so she didn't plan to take it out anymore.

That night, my aunt came to his room, and when she saw that he hadn't fallen asleep, she said to Qin Xiao:

"Qin Xiao, you just want to know about your parents, I'll sue you."

Qin Xiao had been waiting for his aunt to come to him and tell him about his parents, so he stopped talking, and his aunt Qin Ping found a chair and sat down, and said: "Actually, I was not yet twenty years old at the time, but the reason for this incident still has to start from the North and South Temple Middle School. ”

Qin Xiao was stunned for a moment, but he didn't expect that the events of that year were related to the ancient temple middle school that no longer exists, which made Qin Xiao suddenly interested, so he said: "I know that my father also graduated from that middle school. ”

My aunt nodded and said, "But I was still young, and I didn't go to school there at that time, and neither did your uncle, but your father went to school there, and it was there that your father met your mother......"

If you talk about that era, it was the era of advocating green uniforms and loyal character dances, and those high-spirited songs were on the radio every day, and I hardly took a few classes a day in school.

Qin Wei goes home once a week, in fact, ZP County belonged to JN Mansion in the Qing Dynasty, and later the founding of New China was reassigned to the HM area, and the distance between Hedong Village and Nanbeisi Middle School is about 20 miles, every week home, Qin Wei has to walk, and then carry a week's dry food and pickles back to school.

As I said before, the North and South Temple Middle School was built at that time by demolishing an ancient temple that did not leave a name. The temple is located in the col of LC Town in the southeast of this county, Qin Wei lived this kind of life is very hard, the Qin family can no longer live from the ancestral industry at that time, but have to rely on the work of the production team to live. And the Qin family only has Qin Yuhan, the eldest son Qin Wei is in high school, and his younger brother Qin Yong and sister Qin Ping are not yet adults. Therefore, the labor force is only Qin Yuhan and his wife, supporting three children, and he is really not enough, Qin Wei is also sensible, and every time he takes away the sorghum steamed buns and leaves the cornmeal for his family.

Spring and autumn are fine, but when it comes to winter and summer, it will be troublesome. In summer, the mountain forest is very humid, and the steamed buns begin to grow hair in less than four days, and Qin Wei can only peel off the "green clothes" that grow from the black steamed buns to eat; In winter, as soon as the temperature drops below zero, the steamed buns are frozen to a hard lump, and even if they are placed in the boiling water tank, you can hear the jar being knocked back and forth by the steamed buns.

Fortunately, there is still one year to graduate, and the head teacher, Mr. Song, asked Qin Wei to be admitted to university, which is one of the few top students in this middle school who can impact the university. After all, at that time, every day was the village to experience life with the old farmers, help the production team to produce, in short, there were very few times to sit in class.

Qin Wei told his father Qin Yuhan several times that he was going home to stop studying, and he wanted to help his parents earn work, Qin Yuhan also knew that the child was sensible and knew to share the worries of the family, but he couldn't stand it several times, this was an offense to the ancestral teachings of the Qin family's scholarly family, and the old man slapped Qin Wei at once, and Qin Wei no longer mentioned dropping out of school.

After years of hard life on campus, Qin Wei suffered from night blindness for a while. Maybe it's because Qin Wei's holy body can't support it, maybe it's because Qin Wei himself took the initiative to give up, and in the end, he didn't pass the college entrance examination. This time, Qin Yuhan didn't have anything to say, just sighed and didn't pursue it anymore.

I am about to leave school, and the entire sophomore year of high school (note: there was no junior high school at that time, and the sophomore is an instant graduate) grade has to rehearse the program and prepare for the graduation ceremony, some practice three and a half sentences, some are ready to recite Zang Kejia's poems, and there are choruses and solos. Qin Wei usually likes to listen to the model plays of modern Peking Opera "Outwitting Tiger Mountain" and "Cuckoo Mountain", so he is ready to sing Yang Zirong's "Fighting the Tiger on the Mountain". After the review of the school leaders, he actually passed it, and asked Qin Wei to sing "Fighting the Tiger on the Mountain" at the graduation ceremony, which made him excited.

Because at that time, there were only about 300 people in the school, and there were also junior high school students who participated in the ceremony, and he finally had the opportunity to show his singing voice and talent for the last time.

This is not the first time Qin Wei has sung, in the two years of this high school, he has represented the school art team many times, and has performed for various production teams and communes or factories in the region, which is considered a little famous, and it is precisely because of this opportunity that he met Zhang Zhengjun, the director of ZP County Hospital. Later, Zhang Zhengjun also studied traditional medicine with Qin Yuhan with Qin Wei, but there was no talk of apprenticeship at that time, and Zhang Zhengjun was much greater than Qin, so Qin Yuhan always regarded Zhang Zhengjun as a friend, not an apprentice.

But the difference is that in previous performances, the school or the local trade union or art troupe provided the costumes, but this time, Qin Wei needs to solve the dress problem by himself.

Qin Wei was stumped at this time, but fortunately, Qin Xiao's mother Liu Wenqing thought of a reason, asked the family for food stamps, and took the money to the cooperative to buy a white shirt and army green pants, so Qin Yong asked the nearby village again, and asked the militia to borrow a hat with two boxes of "little goldfish" and the price of stalking. As for the leather shoes, I had to borrow the only pair of leather shoes from the head teacher, Mr. Song, although it was a small number, but at least it could pass decently.

Allow me to say a little more nonsense here. At that time, when it came to model plays, it could be said that almost everyone could hum a few words. After the special period, she was also defeated by the Gang of Four, the main leader of the model play, or the chief director (some of whom were self-proclaimed, and some of whom were indeed so).

For the model play, when we look back at it, we will feel that the action is not dragged by mud and water; The singing voice is full of sonorous power; The scenery is completely thousands of miles away; The plot is true or false.

JQ's real talent lies in the combination of traditional opera and modern art, typical examples are "Outwitting Tiger Mountain", "Red Lantern" and "Shajiabang". Even, the later song and dance dramas "The White-Haired Girl" and "Red Detachment of Women" also borrowed from Western opera dance models.

For this reason, some people have criticized that the model opera has changed the traditional Peking Opera into a mess, which is obviously grandstanding, because the changes of the model opera only changed the table of Peking Opera to adapt to the social environment and public taste at that time, but did not touch the reality of Peking Opera.

So some people will ask, what is its "reality"? In fact, it's very simple, we can't see ourselves clearly, just look in the mirror and find out, if we can't find the "real", we can compare it with Western opera.

In fact, when talking about Peking Opera, it is more accurate to say traditional Chinese opera. After all, there are nearly 300 kinds of local operas in China, and at least five or six are widely circulated, and Peking Opera is a local opera in the capital, so it naturally has an inherent advantage in dissemination and publicity, which is understandable.

If you compare traditional Chinese opera with the West, it is the famous three major systems of world performance - Stanlawsky, Brecht and Mei Lanfang.

In fact, people are now more interested in Stan Lawski's system, even if they don't know who Stan Lavsky is. If this is very jerky, then it is not accurate to say that most people now like to watch movies or TV series that are closer to the emotions of the actual characters, and do not watch opera or Peking Opera much (in fact, Peking Opera is also called Beijing Opera PekingOpera).

Then, if the movie or TV series that is closer to the actual human world is Stan Lavsky's performance method, then opera and Peking Opera are the performance modes of Brecht and Mei Lanfang respectively. Let's just say so.

Stan Lawski considers the performer in the feelings of the character itself, and pays attention to the fact that the actor is not performing again on the stage, but also in life; On the contrary, the Peking Opera represented by Mei Lanfang is precisely telling people that the performance on the stage is performance, not life, otherwise how can people on the stage have all kinds of singing and playing, there are different types of shengdan jingwu, as well as colorful flower face props, and there are also plausible comprehensive sets; Brecht reconciles both ways of thinking, as his life experience allows him to take a unique approach to the differences between East and West, summing up a wide range of performances, including those from ancient Greece onwards. He believes that performance can neither fully consider the integration of actors and characters, nor can it be absolutely separated, so that when we listen to opera, we will hear the same language, sometimes dialogue and sometimes chanting.

Speaking of which, it is not difficult for us to find that during the rehearsal of the model opera, they retained the essence of Peking Opera and used modern musical instruments and even sound imitation equipment, which is a successful attempt and one that we should carry forward.

If Stanlawski is a realist, then Brecht is an impressionist, and Mei Lanfang represents the freehand school of Chinese ink-splashed landscapes.

Aristotle's "Poetics" mentions that art consists in imitation, and imitation can be itself, or it can be imitated to be more beautiful or uglier than the original. -- In fact, this is just the difference in the emphasis of the three systems on reality and ideals.

What I want to say is that for thousands of years, China has completely abandoned the golden mean in its political affairs. -- We either admire it or we are afraid of it, and we often praise it as flawless, and after we are defeated, we either oppose it or blindly follow it, and we often say that it is useless.

However, there is one thing that makes people see the light of human nature, that is, the Gang of Four has been defeated, but few people say that they want to criticize her model plays, on the contrary, these classic operas are still circulating today, enduring and fragrant.

This is the recognition of people's instinct for beauty, which makes people feel that they are vulnerable to the instinct of empty artificiality.
