Chapter 9 - Forced Departure
Under Yutong's repeated persuasion, Ah Jin finally mustered up the courage to call the police. After listening to this weak girl's crying story, the police officers were very angry, and immediately said that they would solve the case as quickly as possible and seek justice for Ah Jin!
Within a month, the three beast hooligans were arrested and brought to justice, and under the severe interrogation of the police officers, they finally honestly confessed the crime.
A week later, after a fair and fair trial by the court, the three criminals were sentenced to life imprisonment and deprived of their political rights for life!
Ah Jin finally got justice for herself, which can be regarded as a small comfort to her wounded heart.
The law can give Ah Jin justice, but it can't restore the peace of her life.
From reporting, trialing, to investigating and deciding the case, Ah Jin was tossed for nearly two months, and during this time, only Yutong was firmly by her side, testifying for her, cheering for her, crying with her, and laughing with her! And her family avoided her like a plague, driving her away! Not only that, but the daily abuse and accusations are also unconscious, which makes Ah Jin almost collapse, she thinks that if it weren't for Yutong, she may have lost the courage to live!
After the dust settled, Ah Jin naturally became a hot topic in the small county, and was pointed at and ridiculed. The relatives were withdrawn, that was expected, Ah Jin knew that she was no longer innocent, and she had nothing to say when she quit her relatives! But how could that man scold her for being a "broken shoe", how could this make her embarrassed!
The biological father was furious about this, saying that she had cut off her financial route, and that she had ruined her dream of building a house! The stepmother and brother scolded her for being a broom star, a rag, like throwing a rag, and drove her out of the house without pity!
Looking at the scattered and shabby clothes on the ground, Ah Jin wanted to cry without tears, she stared blankly at the endless dark night sky, and her heart seemed to be torn into pieces. She didn't understand why she had to be treated so unfairly when she had been hurt. Why! Why! Why!
"Ah Jin, let's go, go to a place where no one knows us, and live well." Yutong caressed Ah Jin's shoulder and said softly.
"Where?" Ah Jin glanced at Yutong and asked in a low voice.
"Let's go to Night City, I've heard people say that it's prosperous, and there are opportunities everywhere." Yutong responded with a little excitement.
"But we have no education, no ability, no connections, can we survive?" Ah Jin muttered to himself, his words full of hesitation.
"Even if you are a beggar, it is better than staying here and being pointed at. If you break through, there will always be a way to survive! Ah Jin, let's go, get out of this sad place. Yutong once again earnestly built.
Looking at Yutong's firm eyes, after a long time, Ah Jin finally nodded.
"Yutong, don't leave me, okay? I won't marry again. The two of us will be together for the rest of our lives! All right? Ah Jin begged earnestly.
"Of course, we will never be separated for the rest of our lives, you know, I hate men the most, I will never marry for the rest of my life, we just support each other, snuggle up to each other for the rest of our lives, and never separate, okay?" Yutong replied firmly, assuring.
"Well, forever!" Ah Jin happily held Yutong's hand, revealing a long-lost smile.
The next day, Ah Jin and Yutong asked the boss for their resignation, and the boss lady, who had always been stingy, gave the two of them an extra month's salary for the first time. In this way, the two of them carried simple bags and boarded the train to Night City in sympathy or pity for the proprietress . They don't know what the future will be, but they know that only by leaving Anxian can they have new hope!
