Chapter 6 The Truth
"It's rude, I'm afraid there is some misunderstanding between Haruka and me. Natalie explained to the others as she pulled Haruka upstairs, leaving the crowd behind with a confused expression.
Finding an unoccupied room, Natalie locked the door. And Haruka doesn't seem to be very emotionally stable.
"Something happened. Natalie asked calmly.
"You know about the fall of the Imperial Border, right?" Haruka asked.
"Yes, have you received the information?" Natalie's tone did not change, and the calm was terrifying.
"Did you already know the end in advance?!Why didn't you tell me!Why did you let me leave the front and come to the imperial capital? β
"Do you think that if you stay there, the outcome will change?"
"Maybe it won't change the fate of the fall, but at least it can save some people!
"You're so naΓ―ve. Natalie walked over to a chair and sat down.
"What do you mean by that. β
"Don't you think it's strange that the threat to the front line has not been lifted, but the Emperor has transferred you and the entire fleet back to Citina. β
"Isn't this to hurry back and repair the damaged fleet... β
"But isn't it strange to be in such a hurry to withdraw the main forces of the front line, but there is no corresponding supplementary support for the troops?"
"Do you mean that the Emperor deliberately abandoned the frontline positions?"
"Officially, and he didn't abandon the front line in vain, but arranged a huge bursting magic array under the entire position, and after the demons completely invaded the position, he activated the magic array, wiping out all the enemies, soldiers and civilians. β
"How so!?Why involve civilians too!!"
"Because the production of demonic beasts requires the mother beast to devour a large number of corpses, the civilians behind the defense line are the best bait, which can drag the demon army and achieve the purpose of annihilation in one fell swoop. β
"Did you abandon your own people just to annihilate the enemy, bastard? Haruka trembled with anger.
"His actions are cruel, but this is war, as long as it is for victory, any means can be used. β
"Do you agree with his actions? β
Although I don't agree with it, this step did weaken a lot of the enemy's military power, and it was tactically successful. β
"Tell me when you knew about these things. Haruka walked up to Natalie.
"That night, before I came to you. β
"Why didn't you tell me that at that time. β
"Tell you what, I know your temper very well, you will definitely not leave with the fleet, and you will fight the demon army desperately, just to cover the evacuation of those civilians. β
"At least that would save the innocents, and Fox and Millie wouldn't have died... β
"What about you, is it okay if you're dead?" Natalie, who had been speaking in a calm tone, finally became a little excited.
"I... I'm going to hold out until all the people are gone, and then I'm going to retreat. β
"Ridiculous! Do you want to resist the entire demon army on your own?! Do you really think you are a god?!"
"How do you know if you don't try!" Haruka retorted stubbornly.
"Even if you can really get people evacuated safely, but then the frontline positions will be lost in vain, and the emperor's plan cannot be achieved, do you think the empire will let you go?"
"Even so, the lives of the civilians who saw us off are more important!"
"Stop being emotional! This is a cruel war, you can't protect everyone, hurry up and put your sick Mary! Natalie's tone had completely changed to a persuasive tone at this time, but Haruka still angrily punched the wall beside her, and the huge force blasted the entire wall out of a large hole, and the whole house trembled slightly.
"I didn't expect you to be such a cold-blooded guy. Haruka angrily dropped such a sentence and slammed the door. Looking at Haruka's departing back, tears slid down Natalie's cheeks, since her father's death, she had not cried for a long time, she tried hard to wipe away her tears with her hands, but the tears couldn't stop pouring out......
To the south of the imperial capital, a scarred airship was slowly moving towards here. In the wheelhouse, it was Mr. Shiros who controlled the ship, and behind her, Hetila was sitting on her legs in the cabin, and on her lap was the sleeping Headmaster Bislizi, who had reverted to her young girl.
"When I'm asleep, I look like a little girl. Hetila gently brushed Bislizi's forehead with her hand.
"In order to survive the explosion, the Headmaster used almost all of his magic to protect the dinghy with water enchantment. β
"It's a pity that I couldn't save anyone else. Hetila said with a gloomy expression.
"You don't have to blame yourself. Shiros turned his head, "If you hadn't been aware of the Empire's magic array and informed us beforehand, I'm afraid the two of us would have been wiped out by that explosion by now." β
"That's right, there's no time to be sentimental now. She shook her head with a wry smile as the Empire's air forces surrounded the airship......
