853 The old lady is gone

In the fog and morning dusk, the carriage was getting farther and farther away from Fengfu.

When the sun was three poles and the air was slightly warm, the carriage finally drove out of the city gate, drove on the straight and open official road, and went to the Thousand Hands Guanyin Temple, which was not far away.

There are pedestrians on the official road, but there are not many.

After walking for more than a quarter of an hour, a fork appeared on the side of the road, leading to a beautifully shaped hill that was not tall and not far away.

Under the shade of the green forest on the top of the mountain, it is the thousand-armed Guanyin Temple that specially blesses good men and women to have a good marriage and many children and grandchildren.

"Stop." Madame Feng's voice came from the carriage.

After the driver parked the car, the curtain opened, and Mrs. Feng got out of the car with the help of Yahuan: "Let's walk over." ”

Because of its proximity to the official road, the path leading to the Guanyin Temple is not bumpy, and it can barely pass an ordinary carriage, but this section of the road is not far, and it seems insincere to take the carriage.

Mrs. Feng cares very much about "sincerity", and she firmly believes that her precious son can be regained, and she must have the credit of praying for her son every day.

Therefore, she wants to do her best to express her sincerity to the Bodhisattva.

Yahuan and the guards both understood her psychology, and they didn't persuade her much, and accompanied her forward.

Although the road was not far, when Mrs. Feng walked to the front of the Guanyin Temple, she still felt tired and sat under the big tree to rest.

In such a winter, if it is not for the New Year's festival and the fifteenth day of the new year, there are really not many pilgrims and believers who will come here to offer incense.

Now there is only Mrs. Feng's line.

After sitting for a while, Mrs. Feng stepped into the temple gate, took out a handful of broken silver and put it into the merit box, and then took the biggest incense with the master.

The little monk in this temple saw that she was generous, and he didn't come forward to greet her with special enthusiasm, but just said politely: "Thank you!" ”

Mrs. Feng also politely saluted the master: "This is the duty of a disciple, and the little master is polite." ”

Then she didn't say hello, went directly into the hall to offer incense, and knelt down to worship Guanyin Bodhisattva.

Her movements, manners, and procedures are very standard, no different from those of Buddhism, and she looks like she is well versed in Buddhism.

After the pious worship, Mrs. Feng mentioned to the little master who entertained the pilgrims that she wanted to ask the abbot to pick an auspicious day for her daughter's marriage.

She is generous, pious, although she is thin and dressed simply, but she also has the unique calm and decent of rich and noble women, the little master did not dare to slack off, and made a "please" gesture: "Master is doing morning class, please come and sit in the reception room for a while, and wait for me to inform the abbot." ”

"There's Master Lao." Madame Feng followed Master to the reception room.

The little master came up with tea and two snacks and went out.

The faint and leisurely sound of chanting came from the backyard, which made people feel calm.

Mrs. Feng likes this voice.

She was immersed in the voice, drinking tea and reading along with the voice, and she didn't know how long she had been reading it.

When the chanting in the backyard finally ended, she exhaled contentedly, feeling a kind of baptized peace in her soul.

"Madam, this tea is cold, I'll go warm up and bring it again." Yahuan said and picked up the teapot and went to fetch water.

Mrs. Feng looked out, the sun had passed midday, and it was obviously lunchtime.

Thinking about these people who have been out with her for so long, they haven't even drunk saliva, it's her carelessness.

After Yahuan came in with water, she said to a few people: "You have been going out with me for so long, hurry up and drink some water first, and then eat after we return to the city." ”

A few people were indeed thirsty, so they thanked the old lady and poured tea and drank it.

After a while, the abbot entered the door, and Mrs. Feng saluted the abbot, and after greeting her, she said her original intention.

The abbot counted the birthdays of both parents, and calculated the recent fortunes, and smiled: "Five days are auspicious days, if the lady is in a hurry to get married, you can do it in these days, to ensure that the lady and son-in-law of your house have a hundred years of love, and have many children and grandchildren." ”

Mrs. Feng was overjoyed when she heard this: "My daughter is already in her twenties, I can't wait for her to become her own son immediately, and she won't delay it for a day." Thank you Abbot Jiyan, I will do this marriage immediately after I go back, and then I will come to the temple to offer incense. ”

Then she exchanged a few words with the abbot and left the temple.

When I walked to the official road, there was still no one else on the path.

The sun was much warmer than it was in the morning.

Mrs. Feng felt as if she was a little dizzy from the sun, her vision was a little blurry, and she couldn't see a little farther.

I don't know if it's because she ate too little before going out in the morning, and she hasn't eaten anything until now, she feels a little unwell.

There is just no spirit and strength.

I just heard the good news.

"I'm a little tired, let's sit down and rest." She really couldn't stand it anymore, and sat on the spot on a big rock, panting.

One of the guards saw that her face was a little pale and weak, and hurriedly said, "Madam, wait here for a while, and I'll go and call the carriage over." ”

Mrs. Feng said tiredly, "Go ahead." ”

The guard hurried down the official road.

It took less than a quarter of an hour for him to return to the place where the old lady was resting with the carriage, but the old lady was nowhere to be found.

Only one maid and another guard fell to the ground, unconscious.

He and the coachman were horrified, and had a premonition that something was wrong.

"You have a way to wake them up, and I'll go find Madame nearby." The guard hurriedly dropped this sentence and rushed into the barren forest by the roadside, shouting as he searched, "Old ladyβ€”where are you, old lady?" ”

The coachman couldn't wake up Yahuan and the other guard, so after thinking about it, he rushed to the temple to ask for help.

Then there were still incense and candles burning in the temple, and the gate was open, but there was no half a figure everywhere.

He was shocked and knew that things were strict.

He didn't think much about it, scooped a large bucket of water out of the temple, ran back to the place, and repeatedly splashed it on the heads of Yahuan and another guard.

This woke up the two of them.

"It's so coldβ€”" screamed as she hugged her body, "what are you doing here?" Want to kill someone? ”

"What's going on?" The guard said blankly.

The coachman shook the guard and shouted, "The old lady is gone!" Didn't you two accompany the old lady, where did the old lady go? ”

"The old lady is gone?" The two of them got up in shock, and while looking around in a panic, they said, "We sat here with the old lady to rest, and suddenly I felt a little dizzy, as if I fell asleep unconsciously......

Speaking of which, the two realize that they will suddenly "fall asleep" and have a problem.

The coachman is also an old man, and when he heard this, he immediately decided: "I'll ride back to the house now, and if you can't find the old lady as much as possible, ask the pedestrians on the official road for help!" I've just been to that temple, and there isn't half of it in the temple, so I guess there's a problem, be careful yourself! ”

With that, he quickly untied the harness of the cart from his horse, mounted his horse, and galloped away.

The few people who stayed in place did not find Madame Feng.

A large number of people from the Feng Mansion who came to hear the news did not find Mrs. Feng.

They only found a dozen monks of the temple who were tied up and almost dying in a utility room of the Guanyin Temple.

The dozen or so monks said they had been knocked unconscious by a mysterious figure the other night and left here with no idea.

The Feng family got nothing.
