Chapter Thirty-Nine: It's a holiday, it's a holiday
Harry, Ron, and Hermione were sitting there talking quietly.
"Hey, what are you talking about?" Dudley asked as she sat next to Hermione.
"Why did you go?" Harry said, looking at Dudley suspiciously, "We've been looking for you all afternoon, but we haven't found you. β
"Hogsmeade Village. β
"What?" said Ron, surprised, "you sneaked to Hogsmeade and didn't take us with you this time. β
Harry looked at Dudley with a frightened expression, remembering some bad memories for fear that Dudley would trick him into eating something strange.
Last time, Dudley brought back some whole candy from Hogsmeade. That night, Dudley tricked Harry into eating both the Transfiguration Candy and the Pepper Boy, and it worked surprisingly well.
As soon as Harry ate it, his nose and ears had turned into a pig's kind of thing. Then flames erupted from his mouth and ears, and the picture was quite joyful.
"You obviously said last time that you would take us with you next time. Ron said.
Dudley picked up a piece of chicken wings and stuffed it whole into his mouth, he grunted, spitting out a meatless bone, "I was going to call you, but you guys disappeared after I helped Professor Flitvier." β
"Damn," Ron was annoyed, he especially wanted to visit Hogsmeade, he knew that his two older brothers would sometimes sneak out of school and go to Hogsmeade, but his two older brothers just wouldn't take him.
Finally there was a chance to go, but he missed it, and he looked at Hermione, "It's all your ......"
Hermione's eyes widened, and Ron didn't dare to continue, the consequences of provoking Hermione, he didn't want to try once, how miserable it was to have no homework to copy.
"Can you help me go to the forbidden section and find information about Nicol Lemay?" Harry said, before adding, "Hermione said you have a note signed by Professor Dumbledore to view the books in the forbidden section. β
Dudley raised his eyebrows, and Harry actually stared at the forbidden book area, "There is no information about Nicol Lemay in the forbidden book area. β
"How do you know?" Ron watched Dudley answer so quickly, he thought Dudley didn't want to help find it, because it was too tiring to search for one by one, "Have you read all the books in the forbidden section?"
"Seek the near and far. Dudley hinted slightly.
"Do you know anything about Nicol Lemay?" asked Hermione, uncertain.
Dudley took a sip of pumpkin juice and nodded with a smile on his face.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione looked at Dudley for a long time, and Dudley was just eating potato chips and drinking pumpkin juice.
Dudley laughed inwardly, but he didn't know what they were trying to do, and he said, "What are you looking at me for? Eat, aren't you hungry? I'm starving!"
Seeing that Dudley was still about to take food, Harry stopped him, "Don't eat Dudley, we want to know the clues of Nicol Lemay." β
"I believe you're a ghost, you're a bad old man. Dudley replied with something that made Ron and Hermione scratch their heads.
Harry's head was buzzing as he remembered what Dudley had said to him in front of Gringotts' Seven Hundred and Three Vault. If Dudley knew what was in the vault, then Dudley must have known about Nicol Lemay, as Hagrid had said that there was a connection between what was in the vault and Dumbledore and Nicol Lemay. But he couldn't understand why Dudley knew what was inside.
"Really?"
Dudley didn't answer Harry, just smiled at him and raised an eyebrow.
Harry took a deep breath, he regretted it, he knew that he would have heard what Dudley would have to say, whether it was true or not, and now that he wanted Dudley to tell him, it was unlikely, unless he used his own tricks.
I saw Harry poke his cheeks with both hands, and then he stretched out his two index fingers and pointed at both cheeks, he tilted his head and blinked, and smiled sweetly: "Dada, I know it's wrong~ just tell me~" He gently brushed Dudley's shoulder with one hand.
Dudley felt a chill as he slapped Harry's hand away and wiped the place Harry had touched in disgust, "You're amazing, you can, I'm really convinced." β
"Okay, okay, hurry up and collect your demon law, I'll tell you it's okay. "He just wanted to tease Harry, and he was disgusted with himself.
Harry should have been happy to hear Dudley's answer, but now he was not happy at all, because all the eyes of the young wizards around him were focused on him, with both surprised and disgusted and disdainful eyes. It made his cheeks burn and he was ashamed.
"Nicol Lemay, a student of Beauxbatons in France, was a famous alchemist. He had a good relationship with Dumbledore and was known to be the sole maker of the Philosopher's Stone. Dudley said.
Hermione slapped her forehead suddenly, and she said excitedly, "I remember, I borrowed a book from the library a few weeks ago as a pastime. There's Nicol Lemay's introduction there, how could I have forgotten it!"
"What does the book say?" Harry asked.
Hermione clutched her unkempt hair impatiently, "I think about it. Philosopher's Stone ......"
"That's right. Hermione said excitedly, "The Philosopher's Stone is a magical substance with amazing functions. It can turn any metal into pure gold, and it can also create an elixir of life so that those who drink it will never die. β
"There have been many reports about the Philosopher's Stone over the centuries, but the only remaining Philosopher's Stone belongs to the famous alchemist and opera lover Nicole Lemay. He celebrated his 665th birthday last year and now lives in seclusion in Devon with his wife, Perenal. β
"Oh my God, he's six hundred and sixty-five years old," Ron said in astonishment, "no wonder we can't find Nicol Lemay in Modern Witchcraft Development." β
"I see," Harry realized, "so Hagrid's three-headed dog, Louis, is guarding Nicol Lemay's Philosopher's Stone." A magical stone that can conjure gold and make people immortal, no wonder Snape wanted it so much. Snape had said that he could teach us to stop death, and now that he thinks about it, he must have used the power of the Philosopher's Stone, but he was too bold to break into Gringotts and steal it. β
"Think about what he's done, trolls, curses, what else he wouldn't dare to do. Hermione said.
Harry agreed with Hermione's words, and he lamented, "I don't know what he's going to do in the future, it's too dangerous to keep Snape in Hogwarts." Even if we told the other professors, they wouldn't believe it. β
Dudley listened to their conversation and silently picked up his cup and took a long sip of pumpkin juice - a toast to the dedicated Snape!
After eating and drinking enough, Dudley easily became sleepy, and Dudley returned to his bedroom and soon fell asleep.
Nothing was said all night.
The next morning, Dudley woke up to find another notice placed next to his pillow, which read: Dear Mr. Dursley, the departure train departs at 9 a.m., please be late. Please also note: Underage wizards are not allowed to cast magic outside of school.
Harry was still asleep, and Dudley stepped forward and nudged him, "Harry, get up." So he turned around and went back to sleep.
"Wake up!" Dudley shouted in a louder voice in Harry's ear.
It turns out that you can never wake up a person who is pretending to be asleep, and you can never wake up a person who is sleeping like a dead pig.
Dudley gestured his palm over Harry's face, and he counted them silently.
"Three"
"Two"
"One"
As soon as he finished speaking, Dudley's palm slammed into Harry's face. He silently took a few steps back, blowing on his somewhat numb palm.
"Ahh
"What's wrong with you?" Dudley asked falsely.
"I dreamed of an ugly and fierce dragon, and he chased after me, and kept chasing me, and finally I was slapped away by it. Harry touched his cheek and gasped, "Why does my face hurt so much!
Dudley smiled unhappily.
"You beat me?" Harry asked.
"How could it be. Dudley stepped forward, "You started slapping yourself all of a sudden, and it scared the hell out of me. β
"I'll show you," Dudley softly pulled Harry's palm away, shouting in his heart, 'How dare you say it's ugly'. He rubbed Harry's cheeks, which were already flushed with red handprints, and said, "It's nothing, it'll be gone after a while." β
Dudley was afraid that Harry would have to ask questions, so he hurriedly urged Harry to get up, otherwise he wouldn't be able to catch the train leaving the school.
Harry then realized that he could go home for the holidays, and he hurriedly got up and changed his clothes.
They met up with Hermione, who had been waiting in the common room for a long time, because they had agreed to leave the school together yesterday.
"How do you feel like you've been slapped in the face. Hermione asked, looking at Harry, confused.
"Thisβ" Harry covered his face and couldn't answer.
Hermione rubbed salt on Harry's wound, and Dudley burst out laughing.
Hermione didn't ask much, and after a moment's pause, she urged them to hurry.
Along the way, Hermione complained that they were too slow and might not be able to catch the train.
Of course, Hermione was just thinking too much, and they got on the train safely. They chatted and laughed in the box, watching the dense woods outside the window become scarcer and more farmlands and villages.
They bought a box of Bibi Beans from the salesman, and guessed to each other that whoever was going to lose would eat a bean.
Time passed quickly, and as they passed through Muggle cities, they changed out of their wizarding robes and put on thick down jackets.
Because of the early departure, the train stopped at platform nine and three-quarters of King's Cross at five o'clock.
It was easy to get in and out of the station, and it took them a long time to get out of the platform. This was because a shriveled old guard stood guard at the partition wall, allowing only two or three people to pass through at a time, so that they would not burst out of the solid wall at the same time and attract the attention of the Muggles.
