Chapter 11 Recommendations on Improving the Environment in Chongqing

Dear Mr. Huang Qifan, Mayor of Chongqing,

Hello!

I am a student from Eling Primary School. Recently, I took a unit on saving resources and protecting the environment in my Chinese class. This reminds me of my hometown, Chongqing. In recent years, Chongqing's environment has been polluted, and there is such a weather as "haze".

Chongqing was originally a livable city with sunny sunshine, fresh air and mild climate. And now Chongqing has "haze", the environment is polluted, and the air quality is reduced. According to my investigation, I found that there are several reasons for the "haze" in Chongqing: low atmospheric air pressure and poor air circulation, which makes the tiny particles in the air float in the air; Exhaust fumes from cars pollute the air; The black smoke emitted by the factory also pollutes the air.

Let's talk about the problem of automobile exhaust gas first! Now, the number of vehicles owned by Chongqing residents has increased dramatically, and most people choose to travel by private car. There are many cars on the road, and traffic jams and other phenomena often occur. There are more cars, and a large number of car exhaust emissions have caused a serious decline in air quality. Now, Chongqing has a developed industry, and the black smoke emitted by factories has also become a major pollutant.

In order to make Chongqing's environment back to its original state, I would like to make a few suggestions to you:

1. Advocate that the people of Chongqing use less private cars to travel and more buses and bicycles.

2. Strictly inspect whether the factory discharges waste water and exhaust gas into the river air. If there is, a fine will be issued, and if it is repeated times, the factory's production qualification will be cancelled.

3. Let the people of Chongqing plant more trees and afforestation, strictly prohibit cutting down trees, and protect forests.

I hope you can listen to my suggestions, and I believe that the improved Chongqing will be even better!

Sincerely

Salute!
