The ghost is the most yin thing, generally known as the soul, which means that the yang life is over, the body of the yang is gone, and only the obscure non-physical unit remains. The vast majority of ghosts are formed by people after death, and their souls are separated from the body, and they can only move in the underworld, and if they return to the yang world, they can only come out at night. Therefore, the power of ghosts is very weak. There are generally three ways out of ghosts, one is to reincarnate as a human or animal or animal, and the other is to suffer in hell, these two are the most common, and one is the autopsy into a god, generally speaking, people in the yang or do more good deeds, or cultivate, or be guided by the masters, or be enshrined, but there is no opportunity to incarnate into immortals, and can only be dissected and ascended to gods after death. In fact, these people have not been honest as so-called ghosts. Oni can only be active at night, and it is absolutely impossible to do so during the day. Immortals, in a broad sense, there are five kinds of immortals, heavenly immortals, earth immortals, human immortals, human immortals, and ghost immortals. Immortals in the narrow sense refer to heavenly immortals and earth immortals. Here I only talk about the narrow sense of immortals, that is, the immortals who are different from gods, and the concept of immortals is also purely religious in nature, in fact, it is the exclusive property of Taoism, whether it is a Taoist priest or not, the person or thing that becomes an immortal is always closely related to Taoism. Immortals are people who are sanctified in the flesh and have complete merits, and all objects can become immortals, and there are two ways to become immortals. The first is passive immortalization, whether it is a human, animal, plant or even non-living thing, it can be passively immortal. For example, being ignited by immortals, or being infected by immortal qi, or taking Taoist elixir, or growing in the environment to absorb the aura of heaven and earth, can make objects become immortals. There are many examples, so I won't give you any examples. The second is to take the initiative to cultivate immortals, "anyone who has nine tricks, can cultivate immortals", so only people and a small number of animals can cultivate immortals, when they believe in Taoism, take the initiative to cultivate Taoist authentic spells, and do more good deeds, among which people who are destined can cultivate immortals. But it must be to cultivate authentic spells, if you cultivate the side door, even if you succeed, you can't become an immortal, you can only be a demon. After becoming an immortal, if it is not officially recognized, it can only be regarded as a scattered immortal, not entering the true stream, but has been free and immortal. If it is officially recognized, it will enter the true stream and become a true immortal. At this time, you can choose to be an official in the heavenly court, or you can not go, after all, you are an immortal who cultivates by yourself, and you don't obey the Jade Emperor. At this time, you can find a famous island of Xianshan, feel free, play chess all day long, drink and visit friends, have nothing to do to listen to the lectures of the Tianzun, and do not ask about the world, it is really happy! God, the concept of God is not of a religious nature, unlike Buddha and immortals, God is a concept of faith, a concept of system, in addition to the ancient gods, there are also gods of later generations. Some of the ancient gods such as Nuwa, Gonggong, Zhurong, Xingtian, etc. were congenital natural gods, which were strictly different from the so-called gods of later generations, and were generally known as great gods or ancient gods. The five immortals in a broad sense are the gods of heaven and earth, people and ghosts, and the immortals mentioned above refer to the two immortals of heaven and earth, and the gods here refer to the gods and ghosts. God is a person who is enshrined in heaven or earth after death, please note that it is after death, the implication is that God must be formed by the soul after returning to heaven, and does not take away his own body in the yang world, and generally works in heaven, such as the last god list is God. A person who becomes a god does not need to have a religious background, does not need to study and practice relevant religious scriptures, and does not need to be a Taoist priest or monk. As long as you have fate, or you are a very good person in the yang world, or a person who does many good deeds, or a person who is respected by the people in the world, you may be crowned a god by the heavenly court after death, and you will be assigned to an official position in the heaven or the earth. For example, Bao Zheng, Wen Tianxiang, Guan Yu and others in later generations, they did not believe in Taoism and Buddhism, let alone practice, just because the influence of the Yang world was too great, they were excellent, and they were absorbed by Heaven as gods after death. Therefore, the concept of God is not a purely Taoist concept, which is different from the immortal Buddha, but it is often ignored by many people. Having talked so much about the above, especially gods and immortals, it is inevitable that we will fall into the old question of which level is higher than gods and immortals. In fact, that is confusing the rank and position with the level of perfection of cultivation. The question of the level of gods and immortals is that the level of perfection of their cultivation is different, and the way to achieve positive results is different, one is the sanctification of the physical body, and the other is the ascension after death, and the level of immortals is indeed higher than the level of gods and the level of perfection. But it has nothing to do with the so-called official position, such as the Zhongtian Arctic Ziwei Emperor who is sealed among the gods, and the gods such as Taishan Tianqi Rensheng Emperor, which are all emperor-level, and the official rank is very high, far higher than that of ordinary immortals.
