Memories of my mentor and friend
Say thank you to the editors
I've always wanted to say, a big thank you to our starting point editors!
Our editors are very dedicated.
Today, I would like to take the opportunity of the publication of "The Dividing Line Between Life and Death" to talk about some of our feelings as editors.
In the process of my previous work "The Kite Flying Woman", I felt that our editor was very responsible, and whenever the work was launched in the strong file, I sent a text message and asked the author to update the work in a timely manner.
In fact, the work of an editor is much busier and more complicated than that of an author. An editor is not for an author, you are facing a vast team of authors, as you can imagine, your workload is very large, we have to understand our editors, let alone complain. Sometimes I really can't bear to disturb our editors, I will communicate with you if there is something that needs to be asked, there is something to discuss, we want to try to think about you, reduce your burden, reduce the pressure of your daily affairs, and give you a little more relaxed time.
The editor at the starting point is a good editor, very responsible, very conscientious. As our authors, we should cherish this opportunity, seize it, and give full play to it.
Finally, I would like to say: you have worked hard! On behalf of our authors, I would like to thank you very much!
My mentor is on the road
On the way of my writing, I met many mentors and friends, who gave me great help and encouragement, and made me full of confidence on the road of writing. In the 80s and 90s of the last century, I studied under Mr. Lu Di, the editor-in-chief of Manchu Literature, who was very concerned about my literary creation and gave me extremely meticulous guidance, which made me constantly move forward on the road of literature. He should be 80 years old now, and we haven't been in touch for a long time due to work and other reasons, so think about it, it should be 20 years. But what I will never forget in my heart is that his correspondence with me is still preserved, and I often take it out to read as a way to reminisce about the past, but also to express my longing for his old man, and more importantly, to see his words of encouragement, which still serve to increase my courage to move forward on the road of literature.
My respect for Mr. Liu Wenzhong, a Taoist friend
The following "Preface" was written for me by my friend Mr. Liu Wenzhong, who was the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Dadi" and a member of the Shandong Writers Association. Mr. Liu Wenzhong, with a distinctive personality, straightforwardness, and the boldness of a Shandong man, I appreciate such a literati bachelor who has made a difference. We never met, only corresponded, in correspondence we expressed our thoughts to each other, and we shared a spirit of struggle for the development of the cause, so we became close friends. I am very grateful to him for writing the "Preface" for my 1995 poetry collection "The Dividing Line between Life and Death", and this time I use "The Dividing Line between Life and Death" as the title of my current novel work, I think it is more meaningful, so I take its same name, and at the same time present the "Poem Preface", which can also be regarded as the opening sentence of this novel, I hope that the majority of readers like it, and hope to get a comprehension from it.

Today's world is much more stable, and the news media, except for a series of armed robberies, no longer hear petitions from college students; In the theoretical world, there is no turbulent trend of thought; In the literary field, there are not many masterpieces that think about the future and destiny of the nation, and they are deafening...... Naturally, this was due to the deterrence of the "quelling of the riots" and the subsequent unprecedented sweep of the literary field, especially the literary community. Chinese, in the end, are still afraid of death. So some people left the literary field in anger; Some people dive into their hearts and appreciate themselves; Some people put on masks and become veritable walking dead. The people, on the other hand, are burdened with an increasingly heavy burden, driven by a sense of survival, and run for the means of subsistence, and no longer have any intention of paying attention to this boring literary field. The people who forgot the Wenchang also forgot the Wenchang. Even "The Earth", which used to be known for its profundity and sharpness, has become boring. Occasionally, one or two soldiers let out a few war cries to decorate the silent spiritual desert.
The manuscript of the poem "The Dividing Line between Life and Death" was sent to the front desk, which reminded me of the past of "The Earth". Brother Pan is one of the many bright stars in the "Geodetic Galaxy". My acquaintance with him began when he was a scout on the Fujian front, and although I have never met him so far, his personality and spirit have long been living in front of my eyes, he is a friend of the earth, an honest friend. Yu has almost nothing to ask for in the earth, but he is giving. He paid for the publication of "The Earth", worked diligently as a "social editor" for the "Earth" for many years, and introduced some literary friends in the Nanjing area. During that period, he also published outstanding and brilliant poems such as "Feudalism" and "Oriental Talent", especially "Feudal", which I think would be inferior to many of the works if they were included in "Selected Lyrical Short Poems of the World". What I will never forget is that in those bloody days, he wrote to suggest that I go to Nanjing and use his martial arts as my bodyguard to ensure my safety; At the family banquet to entertain Brother Su Dongguo, one of the leaders of the community who fled to our place, and his wife, Ms. Kan Yan, I also cooked the Zhangzhou fungus he sent to me to nourish my body......
As the battle array of the community was washed away, like everyone else, he also began to run for his livelihood. He worked as a martial arts instructor, painted commercials, worked as a bodyguard, and later worked for an architectural design firm in Shanghai's Pudong New Area. These poems were written in the midst of this turmoil. Although the purpose is only to "nourish my nature", and it is not a masterpiece, he still pays affectionate attention to and thinks about the future and destiny of life and the nation. There are also excellent works. In particular, his grasp of the disappearance of the dividing line between life and death led him to leap into Chekov's level, showing a "high view" of life.
"If everybody / wants to be a flash star / then I / just want to be like the earth / a planet that carries life" What a noble character! Here, the poet discovers not only the self, but also the meaning and value of the self. Zhu Duojin said: The reason why Lu Xun is great is that he thinks about the future and destiny of this nation all the time.
I have no regrets about advocating and introducing such literature.
On April 21, 1995, he was reported to Liu Wenzhong in the Humble House
