Overview
Boaconstrictor (scientific name: Boaconstrictor) is a species of snake, also known as red-tailed python, which is non-venomous and mainly distributed in Central America, South America and some islands near the Caribbean Sea. This snake comes in a variety of colors and is quite an eye-catching snake. A total of 10 subspecies have been identified.
features
The size of the adult red-tailed python varies greatly, and the body size of each subspecies is not uniform. The red-tailed python found in South America has a long body, and there are currently two of the largest in Suriname to date, at 411 cm and 427 cm long. However, this size is relatively rare after all, and generally speaking, the red-tailed python that exceeds 300 centimeters in length is considered a giant snake for this type of snake. The tail of the red-tailed python is quite powerful and can grasp things. There is no thermal energy in the head to sense the buccal fossae. In terms of body color, the body of the red-tailed anaconda is mostly red or brown, and the tail is brick-red. The back is dominated by brownish-yellow markings, and the tail is lighter.

life span
The lifespan of red-tailed pythons is about 20-30 years.
reproduction
Red-tailed pythons are viviparous and can give birth to up to 50 baby pythons in one litter. They usually mate between April and August during the dry season and are polygamous, so males mate with multiple females. During the breeding season, female pythons emit scents from their cloaca to attract males. Females produce snake seedlings with an average length of 38-51 cm, and these baby snakes will mature in the next 3-4 years to become adults, and the red tails of adults are about 1.8-3.3 meters, although they will continue to grow, but the growth rate of adults will be very slow.
Feeding
Red-tailed pythons hunt a wide range of mammals and birds, especially rodents. Red-tailed dragons may also prey on large lizards, and even tiger cats as big as tigers may be one of their prey.
habit
Redtails are solitary animals. They are nocturnal, but if the temperature is too low at night, they will bask in the sun during the day to replenish their heat. Red-tailed semi-arboreal snakes, juvenile or sub-adult red-tailed snakes sometimes climb trees to feed, but they are mostly still on land. Likes to live in a variety of different environments such as tropical rainforests, treeless grasslands, etc. Red-tailed anaconds are commonly found along rivers and creeks in tropical rainforests. They will occupy the burrows of medium-sized mammals as their hiding places. Like other snakes, it climbs trees. Gentle temperament, easy to get along with people, easy to dome. They are docile and beautiful, and have become the personal pets of many friends at home and abroad.
feeding
The larvae can be kept in a cage with perches and are no longer needed to grow up.
The red-tailed python is modest in size and mild-mannered, unlike the Burmese python, which is too large (except for the gnomes). The red tail beetle has black straight stripes on the back of the head, there are still short and horizontal interlaced with each other, and the tail is obviously red lines, which is not comparable to ordinary snakes, and has a mild temperament, and is easy to tame This strain is distributed from Mexico, Peru, Brazil and other places about the following species

Among them, Boaconstrictoroccidentalis belongs to CITES Appendix 1, and other species belong to CITES Appendix 2, among which Guyana and the third class of Surinamese red-tailed python (Boaconstrictorconstrictor) Surinam are speculated by merchants because of their particularly bright red tails and larger size than other species, and the price is very high by merchants, about 5 times ~ 10 times the price of general Colombian species. It is about tens of thousands of yuan, but in fact, there are many CB individuals circulating in the market. The size of the newborn is about 35cm ~ 55cm and the weight is about 80 grams, and among the adult red-tailed pythons, the Colombian red-tailed python is about 120cm ~ 270cm, while the Guyana red-tailed python and the Surinamese red-tailed python are about 360cm ~ 450cm, and even the largest is 550cm, and the weight of the raised red-tailed python can reach more than 60 pounds
