**************
In 1992, Sotheby's once held a special auction of Japanese swords, and 1,100 knives were sold for more than $8 million in just one day.
It was that auction that established the status of Japanese swords in the hearts of modern collectors, and the cultural promotion of Japan has been very successful in recent years.
Today I will make a ninja movie, and tomorrow I will make a Japanese samurai who licks the asshole of the American godfather, so the image of the Japanese katana is very popular all over the world.
The status of Japanese swords in the collecting world is also rising, and now as long as there is a katana sword taken out for auction, even if it is not an ancient sword claimed by Japan, even if it is just the work of a modern Japanese swordsmith, it is often tens of thousands or even tens of millions of asking prices.
In short, it means that Japanese swords are expensive in the market.
And the knife in front of him is different, first of all, he is not a Japanese sword, and secondly, although this knife is the treasure knife used by Qianlong, but in the eyes of Lary, it is just a Cossack cavalry knife, so of course Jin Muchen can't be wronged.
Since Larry considered him a Cossack cavalry knife, then it had to be calculated according to the price of the Cossack cavalry knife.
Although the Cossack cavalry sword is also famous, it certainly cannot be compared with the Japanese sword in terms of price.
"Then how much do you say is appropriate?"
Larry blinked his blue eyes and asked Jin Muchen to arrive, this guy is solid enough, and Jin Muchen can't bear to hack him.
"It's just 3,000 yuan, 5,000 yuan is a bit expensive."
"Okay, deal!"
This guy really has the roughness and boldness of those big soldiers. Jin Muchen ordered three thousand on the spot. Slap into his hand. After completing the deal, he left the market with two knives and Candace satisfied.
Back at the hotel, it was getting late, and the two had dinner at the hotel and then went back to their rooms to rest.
Because the two of them didn't have much sexual interest in the morning, Candace obviously hadn't recovered from the fierce battle in the morning, so he took a hasty shower and went back to sleep.
Jin Muchen stayed in the living room. I'm playing with the two knives I put away today.
The word "Juwen" has already been played thoroughly, so he put it on the coffee table casually, and then picked up the other Qianlong treasure knife.
Reaching out and pulling a knife flower in the air, he then lifted the handle upside down, and with a slight buckle under the handle, a small box was revealed.
Inside the box were two neatly placed objects, one was a pair of ivory chopsticks, and the other was a toothpick made of ivory.
The small box is delicately made, made from a part of the antelope's horns. And the storage space inside is also made of the volume of the pair of chopsticks and toothpicks. So when the chopsticks and toothpick are put in, they just fit tightly, and when they are pushed on the handle, no matter how they dance, the handle will not feel loose.
This is also the main reason why the Larry family has owned this knife for so long, but they have not been able to discover that there is another mystery in this handle.
This knife was specially made by those knifesmiths for the Qianlong Emperor's royal use, and the workmanship was very fine, especially the lettering pattern on the body of the knife, which was the exclusive word of the Qianlong Emperor's imperial treasure knife, and it was also equivalent to the identity of this treasure knife.
The people of the Larry family, if anyone could read more books, this treasure knife would not have been dusted in their family for so long, and it was indeed the life of a rough family who was born to eat soldiers' meals.
Jin Muchen sighed, then took out his computer and looked up some history about Qianlong's imperial treasure knife, and confirmed it one by one with the knife in his hand.
It turns out that this Qianlong claimed to be a perfect old man, in fact, it was mainly to promote his own perfect martial arts, his so-called ten perfect martial arts, refers to his reign of 60 years, pacified ten relatively large chaos, including two pacification of Dzungaria, pacification of the size and Zhuo rebellion, two Jinchuan battles, suppression of the treasure island Lin Shuangwen uprising, Burma battles, Annan battles and two battles against Gurkha and so on.
In this expedition, most of the Qianlong Emperors were equipped with imperial swords, which were not only used to show the majesty of the emperor, but also had the effect of self-defense.
Now in the collection of the Palace Museum in Beijing, there is such a group of precious cultural relics - Qianlong imperial knife.
According to the research of experts in the Palace Museum, there are two main types of Qianlong imperial knives: one is the waist knife, and the other is the saber.
Usually, the body of the waist sword is straight, and its length is slightly shorter than that of an ordinary long sword, while the saber is more compact in shape and more prominently decorative.
Now these royal knives that are treasured in the Palace Museum have strong national style characteristics, and their shapes are very similar to the current Mongolian knives, most of them are in the shape of a crescent, and most of them belong to decorative swords.
However, today Jin Muchen put away this knife, the blade is slender and straight, so it should be a waist knife instead of a saber.
In addition, the Qianlong imperial knives in the collection of the Palace Museum, in the position of the scabbard and the hilt, some are tightly wound with gold wire, some are decorated with beautiful ornaments, and some are inlaid with colorful gemstones.
However, these characteristics cannot be seen on Jin Muchen's knife, because Jin Muchen's knife has no scabbard at all, it is very likely that the Japanese who robbed the knife before, seeing that there are many treasures on the scabbard of this knife, so they pried off the gem or gold wire or something and took it for money.
According to the records of the Qing court history, Emperor Qianlong once ordered the Qing Dynasty Internal Affairs Office to make four batches, a total of more than 100 imperial treasure knives with style.
The design and production of the first knives began in 1748 AD, that is, in the thirteenth year of Qianlong.
It is said that Emperor Qianlong took great pains to manufacture these knives. Whether it is the initial paper pattern, wood pattern design, or in the specific manufacturing quantity, name, ornamentation, year, or even the knives, leather sheaths, Nanmu boxes, gold consumption and the selection of text on the attached leather sticks, etc., everything must be personally arranged.
Whenever the manufacturing office completes a process of making zuò, it must be personally brought into the palace by the treasurer Bai Shixiu and the leader of the seven products, Samha, and handed over to Hu Shijie, the chief eunuch, who will send it to the Yangxin Palace and present it to the Qianlong Emperor. After Emperor Qianlong read it in detail, he put forward a request for revision of the unsatisfactory points.
Then, the manufacturing office is ordered to make changes and processes. After that, it will be presented to the Imperial Tour. This repeated repair was not really completed until the requirements of Emperor Qianlong were met. In this way, under repeated revisions, this batch of treasure knives was not officially completed until the twenty-second year of Qianlong, that is, in 1757 AD, and it took a total of ten years before and after.
Emperor Qianlong's dedication and attention to these knives were relatively rare during the Qing Dynasty, and Bai Shixiu, the treasurer who made knives, was promoted to a foreigner.
The weight of each of these three batches of knives is about eighteen taels, and its shape, length, style, and drawings are basically the same as the first batch of knives, but there are slight differences in the handle, leather sheath, and handguard.
Moreover, during the reign of this emperor, in addition to making four batches of imperial treasure knives in a planned and standardized manner, he also often ordered people to make some delicate and unique knives.
These knives vary in length and size, some are the size of daggers, and the jade handles, leather sheaths are varied, and decorated with precious jewelry, giving people a sense of beauty and magnificence, and the Qianlong Emperor himself will often carry this kind of treasure knife that can be used as decoration and self-defense.
No matter how history comments on the merits and demerits of the emperor Qianlong, the imperial sword he left behind is a representative work of cold weapons in the Qing Dynasty, which is absolutely undoubted in the history of cold weapons in China.
Because these reports focus on the traditional styles and manufacturing methods of ancient Chinese knives, they reflect the historical characteristics and craftsmanship level of the time.
On the other hand, these treasure knives are finely crafted and exquisitely decorated, which fully reflects the wealth and luxury of palace life in the Qianlong period.
Nowadays, most of these royal treasure knives with quaint and solemn shapes, rich decorations and beautiful scenery are treasured in the treasure hall of the Palace Museum.
Although these swords have been baptized by more than 200 years, they are still extremely sharp and cold, without losing their dazzling style, and can definitely be said to represent the highest level of craftsmanship in the sword making of the Qing Dynasty in China.
However, although there are many Qianlong imperial treasure knives hidden in the museums in the capital, there are also many that have been spread outside, which is mainly related to the turmoil in the last decades of the Qing Dynasty.
The British and French forces seized the Old Summer Palace, and later the Eight-Power Alliance directly occupied the Forbidden City, these experiences not only brought unforgettable humiliation to the Chinese, but also caused countless national treasures to be lost overseas under the looting of those bandits.
Among them, Qianlong's royal sword was also not spared.
Whether the knife in Jin Muchen's hand was snatched by the Japanese back then, or whether it fell to the people after the war and was finally taken away by the Japanese, he has no way of verifying.
But one thing he was sure of was that when the sword fell into his hand, it would be considered home.
He didn't think about donating it to China, but as a Chinese, it was a good choice to collect it.
If this knife is in terms of market value, it may not be as expensive as the previous Japanese sword, and there have been Qianlong imperial sword auctions on the market before, but it is only a few million dollars.
If you really fight with Japan's national treasure-level chrysanthemum, it will definitely not be able to fight in price.
But as a Chinese, this knife is also the pinnacle of the history of ancient Chinese weapons, so in his heart, this knife is priceless and a good thing worth passing on from generation to generation.
It's just that the cowhide scabbard used for this knife is a bit too mismatched with the identity of this knife, it seems that after going back, you have to find a special master who makes scabbards, and make a new one, a good horse with a good saddle, and a good knife must of course be matched with a good scabbard! (To be continued......)
