Chapter 404: The Sensation After the Birth of the Jade Seal of the Kingdom (Medium)

Regarding the three origins of the Bo/Cai company, the betting odds are high and low!

But in any case, the number of people who bet on these three sources is at least ten times more than the statement that "this jade seal is a genuine product handed down from the Qin Shi Huang period".

As the opening date of the "Li Tang Museum" is approaching day by day, the enthusiasm of the Hong Kong people is becoming more and more enthusiastic! There are even many lottery players who came to Hong Kong from various cities in Chinese mainland in order to join in the excitement!

In the midst of these disturbing external exaggerations and expectations, the time finally came to June 27, 2008 (the 12th day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar).

This day is not only the date of the official opening of the "Li Tang Museum", but also the day when all the invited more than a dozen experts were invited to verify the authenticity of the "heirloom jade seal" and explain its origin to the people.

————————————————————

In other words, in order to build momentum for the opening ceremony of the "Li Tang Museum", Pei Pei sent the collection photos to the director of the Shaanxi History Museum through the connections of chief engineer Chang Changhui in the Shaanxi Cultural Bureau.

Among them, there are six priceless treasures, according to historical records, in the first year of Song Jingkang, with the two emperors were taken captive and disappeared in the long history of the Song Imperial Collection. These six national treasures are all from the "Xuanhe Painting Spectrum" compiled by Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty - Wu Daozi's "Gongsun Damiang Dancing Sword Map" and "Dizang Bodhisattva Sutra Case Map", Gu Kaizhi's "Xia Yu Water Control Map". Zhan Ziqian's "Vimo Statue", "Conferring the Tower Heavenly King", "Fahua in Disguise"! (See Note 1)

In addition, there is also the "Lanting Collection Preface" by the book saint Wang Xizhi, who has long been lost and can only be admired through historical materials.

According to historical records, the "Lanting Collection Preface" was used as a funeral object and was immortalized in Zhaoling with Li Shimin, Taizong of the Tang Dynasty. However, there is another theory in the wild history - the "Lanting Collection Preface" may not have been buried in the Zhaoling Tomb according to Tang Taizong's wishes, but was left by his son Gaozong Li Zhi and finally buried in the Qianling Tomb where he and Wu Zetian were buried together. Since the Qianling Tomb is recognized as the imperial tomb of the Tang Dynasty that has not been robbed so far, the whereabouts of the "Lanting Collection Preface" are even more confusing.

But Pei Pei, who was born in the Li Tang clan, knew that the "Lanting Collection Preface" was indeed used as a funeral object, and he was buried forever under the Zhaoling Tomb with Taizong. Then during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the tomb thieves stole it from the Zhaoling Tomb, and then in the troubled times, she was once a soul and was included in the space jade. (See Note 2)

The two remaining national treasures on display are also from the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. One is the seal of the emperor of the Shu Dynasty. The other is the seal of the emperor of the Later Liang Dynasty. According to wild history, the two seals were unified by Zhao Kuangyin after Song Taizu and Zhao Kuangyin unified the country. It was stored and hidden in the court, and then was taken away by the Jin soldiers in the first year of Song Jingkang, and has disappeared without a trace since then.

Because of the reappearance of these priceless treasures, the director of the Shaanxi History Museum received the photos of the national treasures mailed by Peipei. Immediately shocked! Then he hurriedly summoned several other cultural relics identification experts to come to Hong Kong to attend the opening ceremony of the "Li Tang Museum".

And the news that these national treasures are about to appear is passed on by word of mouth through these experts. It was quickly passed on to the relevant leaders of the State Administration of Culture.

Thereupon. The top leaders of the State Administration of Culture hurriedly arranged for some experts from the "Museum of Chinese History" to fly to Hong Kong with the director of the Shaanxi Museum.

Before leaving, he also gave a special instruction - if after the appraisal of these people, it is confirmed that some of the national treasures are genuine, try to persuade the director of the "Li Tang Museum" to donate the national treasures to the country in the name of national justice. Of course. The state will also issue a document to commend the donor.

Here we have to mention the regulations of the Chinese Cultural Affairs Bureau on the donation of cultural relics.

According to the relevant provisions of China's Law on the Excavation of Cultural Relics, any cultural relics and antiques found in China must be handed over to the state, and the state also has the right to recover these unearthed cultural relics. If a person is found to have bought or sold cultural relics without permission, he will not only be fined between 50,000 and 100,000 yuan, but may also face prison time.

However, this provision only applies to Chinese mainland, not to Hong Kong, which is one country, two systems.

In particular, the director of the "Li Tang Museum" is still a wealthy overseas Chinese, and the Chinese Cultural Affairs Bureau wants to recover these national treasures from Pei Pei's hands through strong means, which is impossible to win even in an international court.

Therefore, the senior leaders of the Chinese Cultural Bureau can only abandon the use of forceful means to recover the national treasure, and instead use the persuasion method of "national justice" to get the treasure collector to take the initiative to donate to the state.

Here is another explanation - why the national treasures to be displayed in the "Li Tang Museum" have not been identified by experts, and the senior leaders of the Chinese Cultural Bureau have begun to urgently issue such an order?

The reason for this is that none of these high-level or even cultural relics experts are stupid!

Although these people don't believe that the "Heirloom Seal" as a heavyweight exhibit is a genuine product handed down from the Qin Shi Huang period, the "Li Tang Museum" dares to invite them, a well-known expert in the field of cultural relics, to come over for authenticity, it must be a bit of a fight!

Therefore, before these experts set off for Hong Kong, there was an extremely excited speculation in their hearts that the origin of the "modern fakes imitated by rare treasures of great value" issued by those Hong Kong gambling companies could be ruled out.

Then, the result can be imagined.

This so-called "heirloom seal" is very likely to be a fake "heirloom seal" that disappeared from the hands of the last emperor in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.

These cultural relics experts are also very clear about one thing, that is, the most valuable national treasures in Chinese history are not in China. Either they were exiled overseas in the Eight-Nation Alliance's war of aggression against China, or they were taken to Taiwan by Chiang after the Kuomintang was defeated on the mainland.

In addition, there are a number of national treasure-level cultural relics and antiques that were also brought overseas by the Chinese in China during that period and collected in private hands.

Therefore, these experts all believe that it is not surprising that in a private museum opened by a Chinese-American, a few precious national treasures can be displayed to the world!

Moreover, in addition to the fake "Heirloom Seal" recorded in the historical records, this private "Li Tang Museum" will also display nine other precious collections that can be called priceless. (To be continued......)

PS: Note 1: Disclaimer: Many of the national treasure-level paintings in "Xuanhe Painting" have disappeared in the slow river of history. As for Wu Daozi's "Gongsun Da Niang Dancing Sword Diagram" and "Dizang Bodhisattva Sutra Case Diagram" written in the article, the author and I made a mess.

Note 2: What is recorded in the official history is that the "Lanting Collection Preface" was buried underground in Zhaoling. However, because the Zhaoling archaeological team did not find the national treasure from the ground, some experts made a speculation of "being buried in Qianling" according to the circulation of wild history.

Finally, I would like to thank the book friend Qin Qingxin, the tooth of the little moth, and the monthly pass support of eee0499ff, and thank the book friend Sesamee for the reward.
