Compared with the original design, the WS6G has increased the speed of the low-pressure rotor, and the fan has been changed from 3 to 2 stages, but the pressure ratio has been increased from 2.15 to 2.6, so the bypass ratio has been reduced. At the same time, the turbine inlet temperature was increased, and the original ring tube combustion chamber was changed to an annular combustion chamber. With the same dimensions as the WS6 and a weight reduction of 100 kg, the afterburner thrust in the design state is increased by 13.2% and the thrust-to-weight ratio is increased by 18.9%.
